Your dad must love you very much!! I have 2 beautiful daughters that are about your age. I could never imagine them living in my cabin as you do. They just aren’t into living a simple life. Although you have all the things you need it seems. I hope one day my girls learn to enjoy the simple things in life and that material things aren’t as important as the simple things God gives us to enrich our souls. Like sunrises & sunsets, mountain views, snow in the Winter, flowers in the Spring. God bless you with your young life and I hope you grow old appreciating what your father has given you. Not just the cabin, but the kind of life it offers you to experience.

U might be interested in what's called solar tubes. Gives u more light without skylight window. It's just a reflective tube you can put on roof and route inside. Looks like a light fixture instead of a skylight and way cheaper. I have 1 in my living room its dark because we have enclosed porch but the solar tube in day lights up the room without any electricity but looks like it's a ceiling light. Great for winter especially

The way that you live, and where you live is great! I'm 68 yes old, and I live in a cabin on a lake in Pa. Most of my everyday stuff is a little more accessible than yours. Keep up the fir burning and have fun.

I love the stories behind your floor, ceiling & walls! My family has a big cabin, but there are no stories behind the materials like this, just that it was built by many loved ones so there was room to stay together during hunting season.

about ten minutes ago i was reading my psychology textbook and there was a sentence in a section about persuasion and advertising, "Short of secluding ourselves in an isolated cabin in the woods, we can hardly avoid persuasive appeals" (Nevid 2016). and then I got curious, and here I am. this is pretty cool.

I like how you celebrate your family history here & respect this historical home! 💙 Love decorating & can picture red blackwatch plaids or any of the English plaids for adding to your place with a pillow or valances etc. PS. Pychopaths will never own a cat (as they cannot control them). You have a conscience & empathy.
I love it and would live in it forever or when I croak off I mean after all, we all do eventually! It’s wonderfully cozy and homey not to mention your heat stove! I’m hoping you have a hot plate (maybe just use the top of your wood stove) and a counter top oven which would be perfect there for you! But then again you could use the ol wood stove! I don’t see a bathroom so I’m assuming it’s the outhouse or a “ports potty” type deal. Or in the old days a chamber pot eww. Whatever works right?! Anyways, I absolutely am in love with your cozy cabin and your electric bedding! Being from MI going Up North a lot those electric heating pads are fantastic! My brother always heated strictly by wood for 40+years but with his health etc he finally broke down and installed a furnace thank gawd! But, still has a small wood stove for setting a pot of chili on or some delicious biscuits in the morning. I’ve gone too long. Have a great day in your cozy home.

Your video seemed simultaneously reminiscent of Thoreau's literary classic, "Walden" and something completely fresh and original. It was beautiful in it's simplicity and not a hint of pretentiousness! Well, I just wanted to encourage you because, as a fellow writer, I find kind words sometimes hard to come by... and that would be a shame in your case, for a talent that shines so bright.

Cabins are my dream home, when I finish studies, a cabin will be one of my first few things to save up for when I get a job. I love your dog and cat as well they’re adorbs!! Your dog’s (I forgot what her name was) breed, the German Shepard is one of my favourite breeds of dogs with Main Coons being my favourite cat breeds so I want to save up to get pets as well…but anyways I blabber on. Your home, pets and the flora and fauna surrounding your home is just beautiful! Almost something you’d see in a photograph or on a stamp!

I'm putting up cabin at my moms for when we visit. I like the amount of space you have just around woodstove. Is that space maybe 5-6ft wide counting your cabinets? How big is your cabin? Super cute. That's all the room I need, I'd just make mine a bit bigger so I can put in a bunk for my kids. And we homeschool so some kind of table or desk space they can all fit at. We will have access to my mom whole house and kitchen and everything but need enough to stay cozy in bad weather in the cabin like fridge and microwave and tv. But my main focus is woodstove 🧡 I'm biased too. I'm having my husband install wood stove and coal stove in our other house just so I can fire them up in winter and cook on them. We live in the city but I grew up in wilderness and prefer my own heat source over our furnace and I like to cook with wood.
HAHA you own that accent! Love it! Up here in Good ol Canada we seem to talk fairly close to that then EH

Cabin is nice. If you put mineral oil on the floor and and let it soak in it will bring back a good look. Try a piece of wood.
