Right? For us old fans, we know exactly what this is and what it does, but for the new fans, they’re gonna rely on us to tell em, or just be perplexed until the movie hits. Either way, agree with you, it’s a fun toy! Thanks for watching
That silver part. Actually it is movie accurate. In the movie their are proton packs mounted in the mine to keep the ghost in the hole area. On the tip of the wand they have that silver addition
Best feature that wasn't mentioned is the ghost catching feature. It hums along until you hear a ghost and then you pull the trigger and it reacts like you're catching it. Each attachment has a couple different ghost catching experiences. My kid loves it!! You mentioned it should be more about the ghosts and that's the play feature and the reason it doesn't just shut off but makes background noise and then presents another ghost to catch.

I actually like the yellow attachment, which is called the Blast-&-Trap, 'cuz if don't already have a ghost trap & can't get one for whatever reason, you have a trap-device to attach to the Proton Blaster. Yeah, they don't actually have anything like that in the various Ghostbusters media, but just use your imagination.
No clue why my comment was deleted but I ordered and received the new kid’s proton pack and ghost whistle through Walmart’s website this past week. I haven’t seen this listed though. The new fright features figures are also listed but are out of stock currently. I’ll have to keep my eye out for this to complete the new proton pack. The wand and ghost whistle both attach to it.
If I Remember correctly, you don’t. The Darn thing turns off after a few minutes. Or before you pull your own hair out, you can remove the batteries. Pain either way
My son saw this today and wouldn’t leave the store without it. Unfortunately he’s afraid of the ghost sounds so I had to take the batteries out. I’ll give him a pass since he’s 3.
As a ghostbusters fan myself, I would say that its definetly something that we would modify to add more stuff from the movies. Perhaps Adding attachments from the movies or the Xbox 360 game. Maybe the slime blower or something.

I'm almost 40, and still very much a kid at heart. I just ordered one off amazon and it'll be here around January 6th. I missed my old kenner stuff.

Fantastic video. In theory you turn the grey attachment and the orange beam should come out a bit more. I saw a demonstration at a hasbro booth in NY

The shuts off is from the ghostbuster game which made the game a canon in the universe

To shut it off hold the trigger until you hear the "pack" vent. Same noise as in the video game. It will shut off after.

Might be silly question but how do you turn this off, can't find the off switch/kill switch. I'm forced to pull the batteries out

This is a fair review, but for me not having the ability to turn the gun off is unacceptable.
I agree. I’ve had several people write in saying, they just took the batteries out and gave it to the kid to play with. It’s an odd design choice
