Congratulations. In your first week you have been introduced to (and reacted to…so thank you) the most talented band this 63 year old has ever heard. They have a catalogue of 60 songs and *EVERY ONE* is of this standard, not only but *ESPECIALLY* live! The video was from an online launch party held on the 21st February, the day before the album launch. Clockwise, top left, Asami. Vocalist with no metal background (mainly chorus and RnB) who is the most underrated and under respected vocalist of this era. Middle, Fami, aged 20. Bass prodigy. Self taught. Only recently joined after the former bassist and founder left 18 months ago. Right, Midori. Unbelievably fast, technically proficient yet beautifully melodic guitarist. Centre lower, Miyako. Classically trained virtuoso pianist who taught herself to play guitar aged 18. Musical scholar, in the sense that her classical training means her composition is always musically tight, inventive and very melodic. That was the classical influence you heard, as she composed the song. And finally all four foot nine inches of Haruna, known affectionately as Harupi or “The Little Big Engine”. As you heard, her drumming will stand comparison with anyone you care to name. Coming from a man with Neil Peart’s name tattooed on his left wrist that should tell how highly I regard Haruna. Fami aside, the band are either just about, or just past 30 years old. They are the best thing to happen to the type of music I prefer (guitar rock, of any description) in my lifetime. And the video of them having fun sharing their newest songs with their fans is one of the reasons they have such a devoted fan base. Their lyrics are 95% positive, they engage with their fans, and are the most friendly, down to earth and the least egotistical people you could wish to know. I’m proud to be a fan, an active supporter and cheerleader of them because they deserve all the praise they get. And more.

This band encapsulates flawless perfection. They just released their fourth album (this song is the closer) and in all four albums all songs are from amazing to incredible masterpieces. They are phenomenal band and phenomenal people. You have to check them out live. You will be amazed.

By the way, you will see lots of mentions about the Wolfpack. It’s the nickname of the international fan base , because the band’s symbol is the wolf, the girls on stage are dressed in white and in Japan they call them White Wolves.

Great reaction, Lovebites are a fantastic band and they reached new heights with their latest album. All their music is really intricate and highly technical.
I think people should recommend the official upload over this one though, at least for an analysis. First of all simply because it is official and contributes views to the Lovebites channel, but also because seeing the ladies, as lovely as they are, can almost be a bit distracting. There is so much happening on this track that I would rather focus on the music alone at first listen. But that's just my opinion, others may disagree.

Lovebites is a phenomenal band, one of the best heavy metal bands to come along in quite some time. They are a bit older than they look though. The bass player is only 20, but the vocalist and the two guitarists are 30-32 years old. This band is even more impressive to see them play live. FYI - a six minute song is not long for Lovebites, it is actually about average. They usually play at this fast pace and will keep this up for an entire 90-120 minute concert, except for a small handful of slower songs.
This Album doesn’t have a bad track and is my running for album of the year. All musicians here are absolutely amazing and every song is a banger imho. Top tracks for me are Judgment Day, Wicked Witch and Dissonance. Soldier is the perfect album closer and it was a joy to watch your reaction. I suggest Stand and Deliver for your next Lovebites reaction. Thanks for the upload great stuff!

Best metal band I've ever heard since I first heard Zeppelin in 1971. No distortion which means you hear pure unfiltered virtuoso level talent. Haruna is a hugely underrated drummer (lower left). Asami's vocals (top left) are powerful. Fami the new bassist (top middle) at 20 is an amazing technical bassist. Miyako (black hair) and Midori (blonde) are the best dual guitar leads I've ever heard. They modernize their influences to perfection.
The drummer Haruna is only 4ft 9in tall and is 27 years old. The band's nickname for her is "the little big engine" fans sometimes call her "the pocket nuke".

Haruna is a cross between Neil Peart and Keith Moon. IMO some of her best work is Swan Song, Glory to the World, Winds of Transylvania, and Break the Wall. The studio version of Addicted has one of the most impactful drum entrances ever. First 8 count is like knocking on the door then she blasts it open. Live the singer screams during it and minimizes the impact. Her kick drum endurance and creativity are a thing of beauty, she uses china cymbals and a Z bell more than any other drummer I can think of.
I would say I haven't heard any band as good as this!!!!🎸🔥🎸⭐😎✌️

You haven't really experienced this band till you watch them LIVE. Flawless perfection and better LIVE than the studio versions (IMHO). Best new band to come along in many years. They are influenced by the great metal bands of old but they blend those influences, often in one song, with Classical touches and elevate it to the insane talent level in this band. The drummer Haruna is a 4' 9" dynamo who is a double kick beast, her following is rabid so beware any negative comments or they will find you and beat you like she does her kit (LOL). The guitars are the best dual leads anywhere today despite being polar opposites and when they harmonize it is unbelievable. Petite women who wear their femininity proudly but can outplay any other band especially LIVE. There are many great bands but there is only one Lovebites.

Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Thank you for not getting all shocked that women play like this--Japan is bursting with female metal bands, and Lovebites are at the apex. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song, “Judgement Day” on December 22. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet).
Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing.
In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They recently announced their new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” czcams.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/video.html
The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."

Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. You asked for background/influences: Lovebites formed in late summer of 2016 by bassist Miho and Drummer Haruna after the band they were in broke up. Miho's desire was to replicate/update the sound of 80's-90's UK Metal bands. Influences: Miho - Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest. Haruna (low left) - Helloween. Midori (Upper Rt) - Angra, Dokken, Nuno Bettencourt. Miyako (lower Mid) - Dimebag, Brian May, Gary Moore. Asami (up left) - never sang metal before Lovebites audition. She was a Soul and R&B lounge singer. Miho left for personal reasons in 2021. New bassist Fami is a 20yo phenom who joined Lovebites Oct of last year. Her CZcams channel has over 670K subs. Famous for slapping, but she is adjusting her style for Lovebites. She actually used a lot of Slap in the Title tack for Judgement Day - and it was awesome. 🤘🐺🤘
You can definitely hear a lot of these influences. Which is great. I'm sure Lovebites will inspire many people as well.
Japanese metal bands are very diversified and high-level. Aside Lovebites who is an unearthly-talented power-thrash band, We have "Nemophila", with five monsters on stage, "Maximum the hormone" a great punk-metalcore group, and, of course, Babymetal, the leader of Kawai metal.

As for "Soldier Stands Solitarily", I had a demo of it when I was working on the "Glory, Glory, to the World" EP (2021).
It had a completely different shape than this one, except for the chorus.
The chorus was punchy and had a good melody, so I wasn't satisfied with it as it was.
This time, I restructured it and reincarnated it.
In Miyako's mind, she thought the BPM was too fast, so Miyako said in her mind to Haruna(Dr), "I'm sorry," "If you lower this BPM, it will feel different!" she said.
So in Miyako's mind, Miyako said, "Haruna can play at this BPM," and"If you don't play like this, it won't sound cool!"
With that in mind, Miyako entered the bass line into the software.
Japanese women and children hold up the index fingers of both hands and place them on either side of their head in a "demon" or "ogre" pose, making a "I'm so angry!" and make a kawaii expression.
"Demon" or "ogre" is the Japanese word for "oni".("oni"="鬼"👹).
At an album presentation at her home, Miyako said, "Asami & Haruna, I'm sorry! and wrote it down and projected it on the screen.
The belt Miyako requested for Asami was too high and the BPM Miyako requested for Haruna was too fast, so I think Miyako lovingly apologized to Asami and Haruna with a handwritten message panel on the screen.
LOVEBITES has about 60 songs.

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won 'BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.
"Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated.
On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.
Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's 'Love Bites', which gave the band their name.
I participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".
And Asami of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm Download Festival UK 2019, singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites" again after Japan.
LOVEBITES join DragonForce on UK tour 2019(Nov. 2-14).
On 2 December 2019, LOVEBITES was the support act for the Tokyo leg of Halestorm's Japan tour.

The remaining girls organised an audition for a new bassist from around the world and recruited a new bassist called Fami(Ba).
Fami is a five-string bassist who can dance, sing and play and has 678,000 CZcams subscribers.
