Ah, it would make me happy if she is reborn, on a few different ways. That episode was quite sad. Still, better to keep it at that "yeah we know and it's ok" level and to try to avoid any possible unnecessary drama.
That phoenix talk also made me think that Polka would have worked really well as a phoenix character, but if that past is true, it would have gone into too obvious territory. Maybe next gen.

That nickname is kinda appropiate all things considered, but no way Pekora was that clever. Apparently she didnt even know what a phoenix is.
I can kinda see where she got it from. It sounds like a genuine lapse in memory where she wanted to say Fennec but Phoenix came out, and phonetically they're not too far a part. Enough to misremember what animal someone is.
Sometimes she is smarter than we all know tho.

@@yoursonisold8743 That's because in Japanese a Phoenix is known as 鳳凰 (pronounced Ho Oh like the pokemon). I'm sure she probably came across that word in a fantasy setting (hence why she knows the word) but her mind couldn't link that word to the mythological creature or it slipped her mind. It's definitely not uncommon for this to happen to since she's mentioned multiple times that her english isn't good. Think of it this way, I'm sure many people wouldn't know the pokemon Ho-Oh literally means phoenix in japanese.
