Take control of a mining operation run by moose. They mine and sell the gems. You need to decide where to spend the profits. Hire more miners and upgrade their gear. Buy new rails and minecarts to get deeper into the mine. The deeper you get the more valuable gems you will find.

Immediately after recording this episode, played for several more hours off-camera.

That game name could be "kill YT video compression 2024" and I would beleive it hahaha
There might be a few things at play with how the video came out. Could be the recording software did not like the fps of the game. There are new in game settings I used for second video in this series and that one seems to have turned out better.
CZcams is also experimenting with restricting higher framerate videos to people who pay for CZcams premium. That could be a bummer, since gaming videos tend to have a lot of motion in them.

Years ago, when someone showed me my first idle game on their phone, I was like "why would anyone want to play a game like that?"
Since then, I've found several that I truly enjoy. 😸
Moose Miners is silly in many ways, but there's something about it that can really pull you in. I actually kept playing for several more hours immediately after recording this video.

You have no idea how good it is to see your comment!! I have many struggles with the audio for my voice so I'm glad to hear it's currently sounding good.
I have the same voice and same microphone as always.
I have separate software for my microphone, for recording, and for editing. Then, CZcams does it's own squirrely processing. When any one of those software applications gets updated, occasionally my audio will go wonky and I have to reconfigure a bunch of settings to get it right again.
@@Glidercat I was really looking for a bigger playthrough of this game and stumbled upon your channel again.
I'd recommend Balatro if you've never checked that game, it's on version 1.0.1 but it has so much replayability. Tho it's very different to the games you normally play.

There was an early demo, where the end game was to chew up all the gems. There weren't any trees in the game back then and the map was much, much smaller. I was able to clear all the gems in that early version, but I don't think I could do it now. 😺

I played the demo and it's true addicting... but then I love idler games and clicker games
here's hoping they add the group system to the rails and stuff.
love the idea of blocking it so overflow isn't possible....but some overflow is needed I think.
I don't really see a downside to the overflow functionality.

You gotta do the saw damage upgrade i think, for the higher level of gems and trees, also u can place 10 miners together, button on the top

1:58 Nope.. Not even near 10mil or 100mil. As dev said earlier, there over 64trillion of gems(and trees oO). Game grid is somwhere near 32000x2billion(maybe shorter now) :)

Why don't you make 2 control groups, 1 for gems, 1 for trees so they spread evenly across the mining zone?

this game REALY needs propper unit managment, trying to swap 1 or more moose, from one controll group to the next is close to impossible when you get up in the numbers.
It makes wanting to min-max any efficiency, or make things look neat, a horrendous time.
It needs a command: Move from command group to another command group
The command groups are very useful, but I agree they need some Quality of Life improvements.
The moose don't always seem to go after the closest deposits which makes things a bit hard to manage.
This looks like phone game clicker trash that survives off of watching ads
Not the most exciting of gameplay;) Just s a time waster.
It's a different category of game, that's for sure. I never thought I would like the idler genre, but there have been a few of these games that have surprisingly caught my interest and have turned out to be a lot of fun.
