Uniformed Public Services: Annie and Angela

  • In this short video, Head Cadet Angela Vallely and Staff Leader Annie Lewis, tell a class of Uniformed Public Services students about their amazing activities in the Hammersmith and Fulham Volunteer Police Cadets, as well as the exciting opportunities it has given them.
    Angela is studying Uniformed Public Services Level 3 Extended and Annie completed the same qualification last year. Annie starts work with the Metropolitan Police Service in January 2021 and Angela hopes to do the same when she has finished her course.
    On a Public Services course you will grow your personal skills and academic knowledge in leadership, human behaviour and team working while developing the skills and knowledge required by employers in the uniformed public services.
    You will participate in team building activities, expeditions and real-life crisis management scenarios.
    Our courses are designed to prepare you for a career in a range of public services roles including the police, ambulance and fire services, the armed forces, prison and security services or local and central government such as HM Revenue and Customs.
    You will benefit from theory and practical sessions, learning skills that are in demand from a vast range of employers and universities, and are also valuable in their own right.
