funny to see people smoking at the ballpark. new comiskey park was very mediocre compared to the other new stadiums in the 90's.

It's funny hearing them talk about it so glowingly too...considering that. It's pretty plain by today's standards. Also was interesting to hear it talked about as becoming a hitter's park during this broadcast, when it's pretty much became known for being as such in the years since.

New Comiskey was more like the last of the 1960s/70s ballparks. It’s more reminiscent of Kauffman Stadium, Dodger Stadium, Refurbished Yankee Stadium, and Anaheim Stadium. Camden Yards was the first “retro” ballpark

I actually really like “New Comiskey” As a Tigers fan I would much rather have had this park than Comerica Park which is a terrible park from the fan perspective. Seats are all too far from the field and there is almost no shelter from the sun because the stands face the southern sky. It’s like sitting in a frying pan. They thought more about the view of Downtown Detroit than they did about how comfortable the fans would be

Absolutely correct. Comerica Park is an awful place to see baseball. Tiger Stadium was infinitely better. I wish I had been able to see baseball at old Comiskey I was 15 when they moved.Skydome opened in Toronto in 89, Comiskey here in 91, Camden in Baltimore in 92. So this place probably did look great to George Kell and Al Kaline, the 2 Hall of Famers announcing this great telecast

I see you uploaded a video about Lakewood basketball a couple weeks ago. Do you have any more from Lakewood . And where do you find these

That's the only Lakewood basketball video I have. I *MIGHT* have one more from that season. I was a student at Lakewood in the 80s and that was our best basketball team during that time so I recorded some of the times they were on the news that year.
