- In this video I show you how I made my mini rock crusher from the START to FINISH, So if your wanting to build one an looking for ideas to start yours off look no further.
This crusher can crush a full bucket of material before having to turn off to empty it.

I like the little feed hooper. Might have to add something like that to my crusher.
Looks good, I have one sugestion is to chage your hammer mechinism a little bit. When your hammer chains wear out you will have to remove it and weld on some new chain links and round bar. I think you need to just have one link either side of the drive nut and then put on 2 x D shackles on the end of the chain links, this benifits you in two ways. First these shackles are hardened and they will wear out less often and the second benifit is they just unscrew fron the chain to make it easier for them to be replaced.
Yes thats exactly what I will be doing 👍. The end chains have already worn alot, So soon it will be time to grind them off an replace with hardened D shackles. 👌, I have upgraded a trap door on the hopper area where it feeds in also. From bits an pieces of scrap its turning into a great little crusher. An everyone's ideas are great an helps myself an others wanting to build one. 👍

Thanks. Hopefully its helpfull. I have changed the infeed. I added a cap on a hinge to close every time I put some samples in. It now puts out less dust. I do have other videos on my channel of it running with the new changes if you want to check it out. Cheers.
Add a cyclone onto it and a crushing mesh, see the Retsch ZM 200. Great ingenuity, very expensive rock crushing commercial machines. Eg rotary beater mill, jaw crushers are all mega £££££

@@justpanit9872 I really really like the video I was wondering if you could make me one for my wheel grinder that I have a big bundance of big lump coal that I want to crush down into smaller than rice coal for a home built G gauge steam locomotive that I'm building for coal firing I have so much coal I don't know what to do with and I don't want to spend hours with a hammer and chisel and crushing coal all day long by hand to size I needed to burn it in the locomotive I am building

I know you can purchase them from most prospecting shops here in Australia, I know reeds prospecting supplies sell them. (08) 92503388 they are W.A based im sure. Basically its a lawnmower engine turned into a crusher that sits onto of a 20-25 litre bucket. Search keene g-force rock crushers on CZcams an check them out. Good luck 😊

Keep an eye out for the materials it actually took me a few months in gathing bits an pieces up. But got there in the end.

Nice! is your circle case 8inches round? What's the depth...3inches?
If you add a hole in the top of your collection bucket, then attach a vacuum to that hole you wouldn't have that dust problem. I use a five gallon wet dry vacuum. Put a little water in the bucket and you end up with a fine slurry you can then process.
Good one mate. Can I suggest that you attach a hinged metal flap over the inlet hole. Then you can open, drop in a sample, shut the lid while it’s making a racket. Have it hinged close to your preferred standing position so that the flap protects you from anything trying to come back out
After its first use. An having to grab a rag. I thought the same. Its definitely an idea that needs to happen. 👍
Hey buddy just found ur channel love thus little hammer mill just a thought to make it a little better a piece of felt or leather in between your grinder and the backing plate will stop dust getting into your bearing other than that it's perfect

Would love to see you running say a cup full of stones in real time to see how long it takes to crush them
Not long thats for sure I put in 1 full handfull an it destroyed them in seconds also tried with blue metal stones an destroyed them to in seconds

What size are the holes you drilled .
How important to the function of the crusher is the chain length? Does the chain just barely contact the sides of the circle when stretched fully across the diameter? Or should it not touch the sides at all but be close? Thanks for the video! I'm going to make one to crush up mineral amendments for my farm.
Hi. Not touch the sides but close. Some people put a couple of welds inside to help the material bounce back up into the chains or D-shackles. Goodluck

I couldn't even tell you, as I had a bunch of rods given to me to burn up. But the ones I used on this seemed to be more like a stainless steel type rods. Probably not the correct type for the steel being used but I work with what I have. 👍

Round pipe - I found at a scrap steel shop. And square pipe is 2inch by 2inch.
But any size steel pipe thats similar in size should work. Good luck
