I have a question. How do you know what side/angle to start with after the given? For example the first proof, you started with CD is congruent with BD. Why start with that specific one, AD is congruent to AD. Why wouldn't that be first since it's like the first part of the given proof? I'm getting so confused with all the videos because I don't know what angle/side to start with after the given. Help?

This channel should have been more well-known. I love this! Relearning these concepts because I need to take the SAT for senior year and you guys helped me out so much!
When giving reasons, our teacher makes us write out the definitions in If-Then form. We also have to reference the step we used to come to that conclusion.
I shared this video to m y whole class and we did better in the quiz we had than our activities. THANK YOU< NEVER STOP DOING VIDEOS AND SHARING YOUR KNOWLEDGE TO THE WORLD!! :)
+mervin manatad Aw thanks! Seriously, the fact that you and your classmates found the lesson helpful means a lot. If you have a sec, please subscribe to our channel-we could really use the support! -Anthony :)
+Daniel Yusupov That's awesome to hear! Please subscribe to our channel if you find our lessons helpful--we add new ones every week. Are you currently studying geometry?
IM SO COnfused cause theres a similar triangle on 2:49 but the answer to mine was SAS and there was only one symbol. I dDont get how people determine the theorem when theres no info
i am currently taking geometry two years early and have been confused about this topic. can you please make a video about how to learn the reasons better.
Once you show that the base angles of triangle EHJ are congruent, then you know that it must be an ISOSCELES triangle (by definition). Since the sides opposite the congruent angles in any isosceles triangle are also congruent, you know that EH and EJ must have the same length. Does this help? -Anthony :)
What if my geometry book doesn't have cpctc? Am I supposed to find another way to get there? Isn't there a master list of "reasons" that you can use universally despite what curriculum you're using? Thank you
I have a similar problem to the triangle at 3:20 but can't help find any examples! The givens are GE is congruent to FE, and angle GEJ is congruent to angle FEH. I need to prove that triangle GEH is congruent to FEJ. ahh help!
GE ≅ FE Given △GEF is isosceles ∠EGH ≅ ∠EFJ by base angle theorem ∠GEJ ≅ ∠FEH Given △GEJ ≅ △FEH by ASA ∠EJG ≅ ∠EHF by CPCTC ∠GHE ≅ ∠FJE by supplementary angle theorem △GEH ≅ △FEJ by AAS That should work, but there's no doubt a more elegant way of doing it.

"You're not just gonna get this over night"
Me : oh no... Tomorrow is my exam..
Hey I’m here at lunch.
@@lexwilson3175 same here
Same
how'd the exam go
Tbh this helped a ton. My teacher never explained anything so now here I am looking geometry videos up so I can pass my regents
Awesome! I'm so glad to hear that you found the lesson to be helpful and I hope that you can subscribe to our channel and share it with your friends and teachers--we could use the support! -Anthony :)
literally me rn, praying that I at least pass
@@samantha14843same i take mine in 4 days..

Its 1:30 am, I have a test over this today and these videos have helped so much!
I was failing every assignment during this unit, I’m retaking the test tomorrow and this has been very helpful
This was helpful. I was struggling with this in geometry class, but now I completely grasp the concept. Thank you so much! You are a lifesaver!
When giving reasons, our teacher makes us write out the definitions in If-Then form. We also have to reference the step we used to come to that conclusion.
Cool! There are many difference ways to do proofs like this! I hope that you can subscribe to our channel and give this video a thumbs up! -Anthony :)
Me reading the paper with this lesson doesnt understand me watching the video understands the lesson completely in one watch
absolutely... I use your videos all the time for my int math 1 classes and algebra 1 classes. About 171 total students thank you for your videos
+Charles W Thanks a lot, dude! Seriously, that is very encouraging to hear! Feel free to ask us questions or to share your thoughts any time! :)

When working on a proof, do you prefer to list the givens first, or add them as you use them?
+MashUp Math I usually have my students list all of the givens first and then check them off once they are finished using each one.
I like to use the givens first :)
givens first
Yeah given first
Thank you so much this was very helpful
+brooke Kraus Glad we were able to help! Hope you can subscribe to our channel and share it with your classmates! -Anthony :)
I have really struggled with proofs recently and I did the first one before getting the answer I got it right! Thanks Anthony
really Sir you explain better than our maths teacher...
Thank you so much!!! I understood these explanations more than the one my teacher gave me lol
Excellent Video !! came here to remember how to do the proofs. Really good tips :)
can you do more proofs for int math of solving proofs on triangle congruence and more geometric proofs involving interior angles?
+Charles W Of course! Stay tuned--we add new lessons every Monday-Thursday. Did you find this one helpful?
This is genius
Thanks it really helped

This is super helpful thx
Thanks for the comment, Alex! I'm so glad that you found the lesson to be helpful and I hope that you can subscribe to our channel! -Anthony :)
thank you soon much this really helped me😊
bro i have a exam tmrw and this helped so much thank you

Yeah this is way more helpful than my geometry teacher
very clear explanation. it really helped me a lot. thank you very much
IM SO COnfused cause theres a similar triangle on 2:49 but the answer to mine was SAS and there was only one symbol. I dDont get how people determine the theorem when theres no info
bro you helped me a lot tnx
Thank you for giving an idea for students 🥰
Thank you!
great videos! Nice animations, clearly explained!
Thank you Jesus!
Test tomorrow

the last one is pretty hard XD
i feel like my geometry teacher wants us to write a 3 page essay saying how a triangle is the same as the one next to it, so frustrating bruh
Thank youuu!! I'm in 8th grade lol
I am having a problem knowing which step come first or known the steps in order
umm its a right triangle is it suppose to be Hyl or LL congruence??
im so cooked
I have a test on this tomorrow :[
Hope it went well!! So do I lol
A video that was posted when I was 7 is helping me pass 9th grades final exam 🚬🗿
I always got the order wrong when listing proofs.
Anyone else think this math useless asf
Does it matter what order you do the proof?
nope, if they say it does, theyre js stupid. As long as the first and last statements are the same, it doesnt matter too much
I have a similar problem to the triangle at 3:20 but can't help find any examples! The givens are GE is congruent to FE, and angle GEJ is congruent to angle FEH. I need to prove that triangle GEH is congruent to FEJ. ahh help!
GE ≅ FE Given
△GEF is isosceles
∠EGH ≅ ∠EFJ by base angle theorem
∠GEJ ≅ ∠FEH Given
△GEJ ≅ △FEH by ASA
∠EJG ≅ ∠EHF by CPCTC
∠GHE ≅ ∠FJE by supplementary angle theorem
△GEH ≅ △FEJ by AAS
That should work, but there's no doubt a more elegant way of doing it.
Wait, so does anyone know what given means?
it’s just what ur given about the problem, hence the name given. :)
still struggling
Hi everyone
im so flippin screwed
ily
Jesus loves you
Wait for the first one could you have only used the first given to prove that angle c and b are congruent
Yes, you could, as it shows that △ABC is isosceles, and then use the base angle theorem to prove that ∠C ≅ ∠B
Guys pa help Kong paano gawin
I USED TO NOT KNOW WHAT CPCTC WAS LOL MATH PLS WHY
why dont i understand still, am i just stupid?
yeah that means ur stupid
Sup Anthony
Hey, what's up!?
+MashUp Math I really appreciate this video. My teacher will give me a kiss if I get an A on my quiz. He is really hot
I’m so stupid I still don’t get it 😑
literally samw😢
