ABOUT ME:
I’m Jamie. I’m currently an emergency medicine resident doctor in NYC. I love making videos about my life and random stuff that I find interesting. I write about my thoughts and experience as a doctor on my blog: www.thestrivetofit.com
I just want to say thank you for walking us through the process from beginning to end, I’m getting induced in a week and this is my first baby and I’m absolutely clueless on what’s going to happen. I know everybody’s birthing experience is different but now I kind of get an idea of what to expect. ❤
The time passed really fast, seeing you as a medical student to now being a mom it's fascinating.
I've been following you since your med school and seeing you now giving birth, I kinda teared up a bit.
You've been an amazing person and you will be an amazing mom too.
May God bless you with immense love, peace, wealth and all that you desire.
Thank you for sharing you journey with us ❤❤❤.
Same here. I started watching Jamie since highschool. Now I'm a South Korean in medical school, and I finally understand the meaning behind her username. Excuse me for the profane profile pic and username.
It's so helpful to hear your story as both from the patient's perspective and the medical knowledge that you have as a doctor
This was so thorough and helpful! I'll be induced in 2 weeks and am a 1st time mom. This gave me a really good idea of what to expect. Congrats on your little blessing ❤️💖
Congrats Jamie! So happy to see you go through these major life milestones through all these years! Thanks for sharing with us
Awww so happy for you and your husband. Moms and dads are everything! 💟 Can’t wait to see you grow through the years as a family on CZcams.
Congratulations to you Doc ! Thanks for all you've done and are doing for the community . Grateful to got that baby came out healthy and you are fine as well
awwwwwwww ive been watching you since you were just a little med student studying and now youve got a BABYY thats crazy, i literally felt sentimental over watching this. youre doing so great!
I really think this is the beauty of vlogging and platforms like CZcams. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us from medical school to residency and now motherhood! This is beautiful to see; you're amazing Jamie!!
From watching you do the study vlogs as a student to you delivery vlog, omggggg this is just showing how life changes.. love you
How precious! Congratulations to you and your family! ☺️
Congratulations to the 3 of you!! I’ve been watching you since way back when and am beyond thrilled to have watched you grow into the amazing doctor, wife, and now mother you were destined to be. Congratulations🎉 🎈
wow, doc Jamie! congratulations. Watching you since your medical student era to residency and now being a mom. truly a life inspiration. the baby is so cutee🥰🥰
I follow you for soo long !!!! It is soooo emotional to see you being a mom !!❤️❤️❤️❤️ congrats!!!!
Congratulations!! I hope you all stay healthy and happy!
You were my long distance study buddy during med-school! I used to study while watching your study with me videos and I followed your journey all the way to residency and you’re married and watching you giving birth made me very teary! It’s like having my friend who’s going through med school with me and graduating with me and you’re a mother and a resident and I’m a fiancé and preping for my exams and applying for residency. It just feels wonderful to be able to share your life with someone online and feel very connected to them, yet you’ve never met them! God bless you and your family ❤
I loved watching you grow and have your own family over the years
Awwww congrats you two! She is darling! I have been watching you since you started your medical career and always look forward to your videos! 🎊💕
Congrats to your baby! 🌟
Congrats! Wish you and your baby the best!
Congratulations 💐... As an obgyn I'm so happy for your smooth labor n delivery process .. and thank you for making this video and explaining the same !
Congratulations on your sweet baby! Hope you are all doing well.
Our birthing experience is sooo similar! Congratulations to your smooth delivery and having your baby! 💕
Thanks for sharing! I had a very similar experience, and I was induced 1 day after you (4/13/22), no balloon but ended with a c-section due to my baby's heart rate dropping everytime I pushed, and ended up having my baby on 4/15/22, 37 hours after they started my induction. I was stuck at 5cm for a long time then once I hit 7cm it jumped to 10cm quickly. My first meal was an In-n-Out burger and it was the BEST thing ever, but same as you, I wanted sushi so badly but nothing was open at 8am lol! Congratulations on your baby!
Congratulations!
I cannot tell you how much I admire how well spoken you are. I hope to be that way in a few years! 😭
Nice to see you back. I’ve been missing you. 😻
Congratulations! So pleased to hear it all went well 😊
Congratulations🎊🎉
You are an inspiring physician🏅

I really appreciate how thorough this was! I’m scheduled for my induction in 8 days and this is my first kiddo…😮💨😮💨😮💨feeling a lot better after watching although I know every mama’s experience is different…praying for a smooth delivery!❤
How did your induction go? I’m scheduled soon am scared after some stuff I’ve read about Cytotec.
thanks for sharing this wonderful experience ❤️ I'll have my induction tomorrow. hope it gets as smooth as yours
congratulations! I'm so happy for you. Thank you for explaining all of these terms such as the medications and the entire birthing process in such clear ways. I've always wondered what certain medications did

Congratulations 🥰 Thank you for sharing ❤️ Your baby is so sweet!
Been watching your channel since you lived in Philly! Congratulations to the blessed parents! So happy for y'all and glad you ha da healthy baby!
This is the most informative and insightful induction vlog I’ve seen. Thank you for walking through the timeline and breaking down the processes. I’ll be going through it this week so this really helps. 🙏
I did not realise that you are the youtuber as I prepared for USMLE. now I am a resident and going to do induction delivery next week. happened to see you again. such a wonderful and experience from your vedio. excited for your baby.

Happy for you 🥹
Finally a thorough and very informative video that makes me feel at ease with what to expect! I am going in for an elective induction on the 31st with my first born! Feeling hopeful that things go smoothly and I have a positive experience like yours!
So happy for you guys 🥹🥹🥹🥹 Crying 😭😭😭 Wish all your family good good health and wellness 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’m a midwife in Australia and it’s really interesting to see how different the induction process is between Aus and the US! Congrats ❤️❤️❤️
Yeah, mine took 4 hours in Western Australia.
There's a reason the USA has the highest maternal mortality rate in the developed world. That's only going to go up with the overturning of Roe.
@@MargotHypnos we should be taking notes from Australia then. I really hope mine doesn’t last as long as they’re saying it will😅
My wife will be induced at 39wks. Thanks so much for the detailed walkthrough. Congratulations to you and your family.
Congrats Jaime!
congrats!!!!! missed seeing you!!!
Thank you for this ❤Really nice to be walked through the process as opposed to just hearing someone talk about it.
Thank you for sharing a positive induction experience. It’s refreshing to hear positive stories!!! Congratulations to you and your fam 🫶🏻
Thank you for watching!!! Hope it’s helpful!
Very helpful video. Thank you for sharing your experience with mention of timings and procedures done :)
Thank you for sharing a great day of your life with us ❤❤❤ all love to you and your family. I really can't tell or express my feelings while watching or being with you but I was happy to see your baby at the end 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Your story really gave me so much hope and less stress I'm going to be induced on July 18 2023 and watching how it went for you gave me so much hope you are strong and your husband is very supportive and your baby is beautiful congratulations 💐
I'm so glad! You got this!!!! Congratulations ☺️
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉. Continued blessings 💗😘❤️ You're a Mom!!!
Thank you, my daughter is being induced tomorrow and I'll be her sidekick. This video really helped.
Thank you for this video 🙏🏻🤍 I’m getting induced this week at 39 weeks and I definitely appreciate this video as I was super curious about the induction process.
Congratulations to both of you! X
I been waiting on a vlog you are one of my favorite CZcamsrs ❤️ don't know why I wasn't notified 🤔you uploaded.
Congrats! Beautiful Baby!
Congratulations 🍼. So happy for you and hubby and keeping the video low key. I can’t wait to find his name and how much he weighed. Hope your feeling well. Happy day to you and yours.
Congrats Dr Jamie ❤️🎉
Congratss doc!🎉💕
Big congratulations to you!
Congratulations on your beautiful new born :)
Wow, I have watched your videos since you were in med school (before I entered my school myself)...and now a baby! ❤️
Congrats
Thank you for this video, im getting inducted in 2 days and your positive experience gives me hope
Aww!!!! Best of luck!
Back in 2015, I started my labor at 7 AM, but despite induction nothing happened until 2 PM so the Pitocin was given and not even 30 mins later the baby was out :D so no epidural and it hurt a lot and I might have left teeth marks on the bed lol :D I was so bored during the day, had to pretend I need to pee just to get up and walk or sit somewhere :) You did amazing! Your husband is so loving and supportive it is so heartwarming
Thank you for sharing. I was worried and am now elated that all went well.
You seem so chilled geez I hope I’m like this
Video is made so interesting. Congratulations parents ! 🥰❤
I’m being induced at 39 weeks if baby doesn’t come sooner and I’m so nervous! Thank you for sharing your experience I’ve been watching tons of these videos to get a rough idea of what I can expect
Congratulations!!!
Im scheduled April 12th, too, at 7 pm, though. It's my second baby. After 10 years, I'm getting induced because my LO is measuring big. I'm kinda scared, but hopefully, it will go quick. Your video made me feel better, and also, now I know what I'm walking into. Thank you so much.
Congrats! 🎉
Congratulations 🧡
Congratulations 🎊❤️
Why iam crying Congratulations mama!
Thank you for this video…. I really needed to see this.
Omg so many memories working in those rooms. Lol I loved your late night first meal
Congrats!!!
Thank you for sharing this. I am high risk, scheduled for this in a little over a week. Last month my hospital had me hidden in labor and delivery because of a DV situation and the experience traumatized me a little. Hope this goes smoothly for me. It's my first and probably last baby, I am alone in the World and terrified something will go wrong.
I m soo happy for u been here since 2018
Ah you're so loved by Jesus! I have loved following your journey these couple of years!!
I’m Due Feb 22, 2024 and I have been thinking about induction or just natural birth but my pain levels have been killing me, sleepless nights. Thank you so much for sharing!
Congratulations!! :)
Congratulations🎉 Jamie
Omg congrats!!!!!
This was one of the most calming and informative induction videos. Its like, I know everything to expect but I’m so scared because it seems like you only see and hear the horror stories. Even nurses and providers and midwives online talk about how induction always leads to c-sections and long labor which isn’t very encouraging
congratulation~
So happy~
Stay healthy and safe all of you~
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for sharing! I love these videos. How many weeks were you when induced? And did you work right up until giving birth or did you take leave?
I'm already 4cm dilated with My 2nd and I call tomorrow to see if they can induce me and bring me in that day! I'll be 39 weeks. So ready to have this girl. I wasn't induced with My first so this is all knew to me. Thanks for sharing this video!
Good luck and congratulations!!!
congrats 😍
So calming 😊❤❤❤
