This is how I'm going to make all my steel from now on.
@justan idiot cool name dude 😎
@@AutodidactEngineer yea lol
How else were you planning on doing it? You colossal fool
bro
aaah a fellow schmelter I see
Came for the soothing industrial animation stayed for the techno-beat
Best combination
It's pretty good, nice bass hehe
We are glad that you enjoyed it!
so sweet
Watch at 1.25 playback speed lmao
I love that it comes with optional DRI and HBI bleeding.
It’s a bit of a splurge, but so worth it.
You don't bleed them, you FEED THEM. FEEEEED MEEEEEEE.
Ill upvote, cause I don't know if yall are serious or just fucken around xD
Hard to believe, I know. Truly a sign of the times
Optional Turbo Encabulator for those wanting to constrain magneto torque waves.
Fully automated process including fully automated techno-beat music; the future?
Can't have high technology and automation without Darude Sandstorm playing...
Nothing but the best.
You would if you had robot ears.
Shit, now I'm imagining the workers wearing mandatory PPE, helmet, safety glasses, ear plugs, heat gloves, and glow sticks.
Frfr
Note to algorithm: I would watch more videos like this
don't worry, it knows
Excellent. You should check out our other videos czcams.com/users/PrimetalsTechnologiesplaylists
The fact the CZcams algorithm new I would watch this the whole way through is honestly kind of scary
Watch kurzgesagt ?
Facts
The music is, as the kids say, "slapp'n".
That's exactly why it was presented to you, because it has a viewer retention rate. That is a content quality metric
Not scary, in some sense you educated the algorithm and in turn he got to know you. I like very much when I got to discover some channel that produces quality content that otherwise would never watch if not for the algorithm
Ah yes, good thing I'm in the market for a new steel factory.
What makes you think this video is for you?
@@TDesil5000 the YT algorithm never lies.
How did the algorithm know I'm writing a scifi story that includes smelting the steel for a city in space? Since it will be beyond patent jurisdiction (by 100k years and 100k miles) I can safely harvest ideas.
Pretty sure most steel factories use more than one of these devices.
@@OneBiasedOpinionUsually 3 or more per steelshop and most steel factories have at least 2 of these steelshops
The owners job is standing with his arms crossed, sunglasses on, and listening to this music on loop. He just lowers the sunglasses every time it dumps in scrap, then re-crosses his arms.
The principals were describe perfectly through your animation, great job.
principles*
And the best part is that with this process, the steel plant sounds like a EDM nightclub instead of the usual industrial noises.
I should be sleeping.....but nope , I'm watching this shit for some odd ass reason.
Yes !
Yep
stay curious!
You wouldn't understand because this is boy stuff, go back to sleep.
Never know when you want to get a loan for a billion dollars and get into the business of industrial scrapping, amirite?
It feels like someone is trying to sell me a steel factory, and maybe I’ve found something to fill that factory shaped hole in my heart.
Why the hell did i get this in my recommendations?
Its not like i am planning to buy a steel factory.
Not yet you are
Don't discount that Secret Santa...
Yet....
You're lucky, i have a lot of advertising for fast gamma particles detectors.
I plan to buy a bicycle.
They say the algorithm knows stuff before you do, so don't expect to not own a steel factory before the end of the year.
Not entirely sure why this ended up in my recommended but it was fascinating regardless. Something to think about if I’m ever in a situation where I want to buy a steel mill I guess.
If you want to don't hesitate to contact us ; ) www.primetals.com/
I’m buying one of these furnaces for my basement for winter heating! Good idea or nah? If not oh well already bought it
@@mikeschulte4271 Say hello to multi-million dollar electricity bills.
Oh don’t worry I already found a solution! I bought a nuclear reactor power this thing for years that way I don’t have to pay for electric I can make my own so that way it’s not million dollar bills it’s pay for the reactor and this which is already done since I have billions and billions of dollars so I’m set! Lol hope ur doing well and ur family is as well.
I’m going to watch terminator now
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
And?

I'll be back!
I love that movie
I didn’t know that steel working was just like one big techno party the whole time, cause the song is tight.

You've never been to The Anvil?
@@CaptainBangoEVERYBODY DANCE NOW
Quantum Furnace is super cool! From the looks of it, you've increased electrical efficiency by preheating scrap thus decreasing heat to charge temperature differential, decreasing tap-to-tap times by "priming" the next charge, and greatly reduced times to change vessels. Really fascinating work!
In a nutshell.
I ran a furnace like this for years. It's a maintenance nightmare. The preheated scrap is constantly dripping in the bath, changing the temp and chemistry. Pieces occasionally fall in break electrodes. Long story short, the company ended up ditching the shaft and running it old school.
@@noneyabidness7226 what's the old school method?
Maybe a coke fired furnace? Or maybe gas because they are not smelting?
I just mean they ditched the shaft and started dropping scrap straight in the furnace.
Steel manufacturing RAVE party! What a groove!
Great 3D work!
Thank you for your message Michael!
We are happy you enjoy it
2.44 The 3D gremlins gotcha! 'Do I want to re-render this?...No one will ever notice.' WRONG!
It is nice 3D though.
I am in awe of this animation and how complex the rendering and modeling is.
One of the videos that you learn something you never knew before, will never have the opportunity to apply this knowledge, but glad you know any way.
We are using this technology in GPH Ispat, Bangladesh from 2019. It’s the most energy saving, time saving technology. We are producing clean and pure steel by this...
Interesting video to get recommended, low-key the music slaps.
Exactly how the myans did it
The Mayans? I read somewhere that they used spacecraft exhaust, not electric arc.
I'm not sure how the Mayans did it, other than it likely involved human sacrifice to their steel god.
Lol mayan didn't have access for iron yet. It was aztec, but even then, their technology was still at infancy. They made use of iron's magnetic characteristics to induce controlled ferroresonance, which in turn cause the molecules to line up into specific orientation. Then by exciting the synchronized protons, they forced each adjacent atoms to recombine into higher order. While interesting, this method was inefficient, and even creates final waste in the form of gold. That's why they quicky exhausted their ore supplies. By the time conquestadors came, the aztecs no longer posses iron but tons of scrap gold
Many thanks to the author for making such works, which make my friend more intuitive
Thank you for your message Cui Sara!
We are happy you enjoy the video too
Now I'm working inthis technology from Bangladesh at GPH ispat. It’s Great and good plant in our country . Thanks for primetails technology .
Have had mine for two years now. It works perfectly every time. Recommend it!
This would be perfect, right beside the ship breaking yard in Port Colborne!
Preheating the scrap makes a lot of sense. Drives off all the crap that could cause explosions, and also recovers quite a bit of waste heat from the process that would otherwise be used in heating the scrap charge.
Scrap is/was always preheated in any arc furnace, though.
The guys who made this presentation / animation did an amazing job.
i like how this video is labeled Steelmaking when in fact its not. This is steel recycling not primary steel production.
Check out Nucor steel darlington. This is how they make their production steel. Pretty good product, their steel was used to rebuild the trade center tower. Not as fancy as this, but same concept.
It absolutely is primary steel making, just from scrap instead of ore.
Sleel is made from combo of scrap and iron. This seems to be always the case, though, not an expert.
Helps paint a very clear picture!
Wow... Fantastic Video! Thank you!
Nice video. Clear and complete. Thanks. Ricardo
Great work, a well done video. Graphics and music blend interest into attention holding fun.
Thank you for your message Jonathan!

@@s.r.clinkz3712 Probably company policy to not disclose to the public. You would probably have to get a quote, but they would do it only if you were a company, and serious.
Why was this recommended and why can't I stop watching
Not sure why this was recommended to me, but that was a pretty fascinating video to watch. I like your concepts!
They show how they tap the iron but how do they get rid of the slag in the furnace?
I think the part at the end they show they can change out the whole main vessel super fast so I guess that?
There is an empty lot next to some low income housing where, at night when people are asleep, the robots discretely dump it. Hope that helps!
When raw materiale melts impuritie floare over the moeten metal .
Slag is lighter than liquid metal it floats it is drained next to the tap hole which is high er than tap hole.
Half hour before tap ,drainage hole is openen and slag is removed
Don’t be a dick Sam Anderson.
? There is another video that shows - constant deslagging -
I totally appreciate your hard work on this video project it's best 👍👍👍
very clear video and perfect display, hope to know more about each other
This was incredibly helpful and very well done! Thank you for making such an amazing video
Helpful? How did it help you. Planning on buying one?
@@jamesbizs I just wanted to understand the process of electric steelmaking. I plan on covering steel sector equities so an understanding for manufacturing process for necessary at high level. Then I plan to understand individual companies and their processes, so this helped me understand the process in general.
3D work so clean
The level of detail and simulation is mind blowing.
Well done, Maestro
I wish my company had such detailed digital models of their production facilities.

Dawg they are THIRSTING for you 💀
Amazing animation. Well done
I loved all the little details in the animation
Great to know that Toscelik has ordered one together with a Slab Caster. We are exited to hear user experiences.
what a great presentation .....well done
We are happy you enjoy the video!
not just automation , precision is tip top
Thanks CZcams Recommendations. Next time I have.. 50 million euros spare this is the first company I will look to buy my steel recycling plant from. Joking aside, this was an intersting insight in to this process. Thank you.
Oh my God if I can subscribe a thousand times I would!
Amazing animations absolutely impressive...
Love the flexibility in scrap quality.
I've got all kind of metal shit that I always had to bring to the recycling facility here.
With this electrical steel mill, I can recycle it myself!
high flexibility in scrap is key.....
I worked several years in on a prototype steal oven. Most of what was shown in this video was done by hand. Nope never again. I learned a lot but that is why I appreciate my desk job today even more.
You should treat yourself to an EAF Quantum instead. I did :)
great animation quality!
Thank you for your message Floodo1!
We are happy you enjoy the video too
Nice video. I understand a bit more about electric furnaces.
Digging the disco music! Even the molten steel is dancing to it> 1:43
beautiful visuals
Gostei demais do video, espetacular o processo e automatização
That was fascinating but now I have questions!
why is the track so bomb?
This next Factorio mod looks sick
I love how they slap the word quantum to anything they don't understand!
Today I put a quantum sticker onto my mug! 🍺 😄
Reading the comments of niche product ads is always the best ^^ Although I feel sorry for the product owner, because that is probably not the target group he aimed for :D
Just looking at Arc furnaces and this shows up. Pretty tight animation work and design right there, but the music really sells it.
Glad to hear that!
Cool Desing, I can't tell but it doesn't look like there capturing their waste heat from the waste gasses and using it to generate power.
Plot twist: This was actually a music video for the track.
i want to know about the energy efficiencies and the waste management, share some?
Hi Leaf, Here is more information about energy efficiency: www.primetals.com/portfolio/eco-solutions/energy-efficiency
I liked the video. Really nice minimal techno too. I love the thumbnail picture and pictures like it.reminds me an old book I loaned from library. It had star wars ships cut to pieces and you could see inside and it had various descriptions of items... Next time I need a fully automated smelter, I'll definetly contact yoy guys!
ME : looking at rocket stoves
CZcams : how about EAF Quantum - New Electric Steelmaking
Amazing!
Excellent animation friend.
I can imagine the water cooled hopper will spring a leak eventually with all the scrap thrown into it. However the vessel exchange using the ladle car is really clever.
How are you taking care of ladle break out during tapping or on ladle transfer car ?
Excellent video, I remember the days of blue prints and imagination. This is brilliant
Sounds great more fully automated, I'm sure steelworkers will love this. Now you just need robots to maintain it.
You had me at the slag free tapping! I'll take 5 plants please
Great graphics with such detail! Thank you.
Everything automated....What could go wrong?
Awesome! Who hadn't noticed the decline of Old Electric Steelmaking. I mean, it was clear to all his best days was behind him. Primetals just had to step up one of those days, circulate some fresh air through the mill and evolve the Electrical Steel industry. Much compliment for greatly randomized selection, Algorithm! And that while it's _waaay_ past bedtime...
Oh, how I long for wonderful moments like these when Algorithm puts on his knitted sweater, lights his pipe, and starts reading us stories about Belarussian Steelfactory's slack removal railroad trajectory, the importance of Culverts and shows pictures of Amazing Modern technology machines Inter-drain pipe plow while we gather round the tube with a cup of hot chocolate! Truly special to be able to have such an intense bond with Algorithm.
amazing name for the company and an amazing piece of tech.
This shop has two living souls, a dog and a man. The man feeds the dog and the dog keeps the man away from the machines.

Nice work :-))
At the start, why have a crane that picks up the scrap and lowers it into a bin, then have the bin go up a slope and unload it... just have the crane do it. Why have 2 jaw like teeth above the furnace when a sliding floor (still with holes for venting/heating) is much simpler and stronger?
Thank goddess they included a fully automated tapping feature
Why not have the hopper dump straight onto the preheater instead of into the charge bucket that rides up the ramp?
😮 amazing video
Well when ever I end up buying a steel smelting plant, For sure buying this thing. Sold me
Sounds promising, feel free to get in touch with us ;-)
Really nice
How is high levels of rust mitigated so that the bound O2 doesn't cause a flash when dumped in? Does the pre-heat "burn off" the rust somewhat?
that's very impressive
Jesus this modeling and animation must have taken such a long time.
Glad those recommendation give me stuff I can use in story writing, trying to justify production facilities driven by AI only can be quite tricky, looks autonomous enough to be used as such
You'd likely have humans for supervision and slag reduction/proportioning
Not a steel engineer, but I do forgery in my backyard and that steel escape via tilting by 4 degrees is cool.
I know what I want for Christmas next year
This Factorio update is wild.
Came for the steel, stayed for the beat
