    Hello, ladies and gentlemen,

    Then you have come to the right place! Welcome to the first of the series of tutorials named 1 Biome, 6 Different Enclosures, where I’ll try to show you six variations for each of the environments of Jurassic World Evolution 2, using environment-specific brushes, trees, textures, etc. We will be starting with the alpine biome (/taiga, honestly).

    Thank you! Finally my enclosures will no longer lack variety. Excited for you to make this in the desert biome! I think that's the most challenging biome to make unique enlosures.

      Thanks so much 🙂 yeah, the desert biome 😄 I also thought it would be the hardest, but surprisingly, when thinking about the concept of my next videos in this series (according to the parks I've build already), the temperate was the hardest to figure out 😅

    I just wanna throw it put there that, Alpine environments are defined as being cold, windy, and snowy, and characterized by low growing season temperatures and a very short frost-free period. Alpine biomes are found in mountain regions worldwide, including the Andes, Alps, and Rocky Mountains. Alpine plants occur in a tundra. But I understand that it just for decoration of habitat🤣🤣🤣 it makes a cool biome for a hybrid.
    Edit: I misread it😂😂😂😂 i though u said 6 different biomes 1 enclosure 😅😅😅😅 the biomes are absolutely Goergous👏👏 I'm getting an Evolution Square vibe🤣

    another thing you can do is a rock border, that way you don't see the curvy fence and can add trees to hide the rocks

    Okay, I'm convinced, snow is an acceptable biome brush. Always had a problem with dino's in the snow, cuz "Their world was warmer, even on the arctic!". But then A) all JP and JW dinosaurs were made with substitute DNA to fill up the gabs and the game is riddled with DNA modification so extra fat layers and better heat regulation aren't a stretch and B) if any Zoo can house pinguïns and polar bears on white painted concrete, then I guess so can we.
    PS. If crooked fences hurt too much, you can always cut out the part of the fence that runs across a hill ridge and replace it with a line of large rocks as a "semi-natural rock wall".

    • @JurassicTom
      @JurassicTom  Před 2 lety

      I think that we can play pretend any kind of scenario when it comes to the game, but I do understand where you're coming from, I also like to keep some amount of realism in my parks 😁 as to the rock wall, it's a perfect alternative to fences I think, and I usually do that in my parks, in some of them I even have more rock barriers than fences 😅 but in my tutorials I mostly use fences to save time 😉 and then laugh at myself and my OCD 😂

    I was a bit bitter when I first started JWE2 because my mind was still stuck in JWE1 and I didn’t really push the terrain tools as far as they can go when I first started JWE2. The last park I was able to give each enclosure a bit of personality and make each one different. The new terrain paints, rocks, and plants open a whole world of possibilities. The big thing that changed the game for me was bringing back placeable trees. I made a really cool looking Triceratops Savannah on Nublar. I need to finish up some of the Chaos Theory and Challenge maps.

    This is super random and I only just started playing myself so forgive my lack of direction but I noticed you said that there is no logs, which isn't entirely the case, one of the vegetation types, the one middle row, third option I'm pretty sure, I like to "spray" it all over a river, then pick away at it with the deforest tool and only leave behind the laying down logs
    Again sorry for crappy directions but Im sure you'll figure it out

    Btw how are you feeling this evening? Since you mentioned getting over being sick.

    • @JurassicTom
      @JurassicTom  Před 2 lety

      Qianzhou is the best when it comes to light blue, another one that comes in mind is Acro or Cryo, with sligthly darker shades of blue, or the Sino one from the video, but that's more purple 😅 also, surpsiringly, Carno has a blue skin (looks weird tho) and Penta has one of the best blue/green shades, Homalocephale can be blue/green too, and as for fliers, Tropeo has the best blue skin, along with Cearadactylus with light blue (used them in Yosemite)... if I think of some more, I'll let you know 😉 and thanks for asking, I'm feeling better now 😊 it was mostly allergy-related, but kinda grew into a regular cold/flu/something, I don't even know myself 😄 but I'm fine now

    How Big do you usually make your enclosures?

    • @JurassicTom
      @JurassicTom  Před 2 lety +1

      Depends, on so many factors, like how big the dino is that I want in there, how much space there is and how I want to use it and what the overall look should be... but I'd say that the overall average is 2 max fence lenghts times 3... but then again, rarely so squares like these in my regular parks 😄

  • @blablubb4553
    @blablubb4553 Před 2 lety

    Are you only building enclosures for dinosaurs with all needs deactivated? Because I didn't see you put the preferred vegetation for the herbivores anywhere in your enclosures.

    • @JurassicTom
      @JurassicTom  Před 2 lety

      Yes, all the builds on my channel are sandbow with the needs turned off 🙂 sorry, I keep forgetting to mention it and kinda take it as a given now 😅

    • @blablubb4553
      @blablubb4553 Před 2 lety

      @@JurassicTom Don't get me wrong, I find them aesthetically pleasing, and very inspiring for build ideas. I just prefer to build my enclosures so that they will actually fulfill the animals' needs. And also look somewhat realistic. Even when an enclosure touches the border of the map, and even if that border is not traversible for dinosaurs, I will still build a fence along that map border so that it surrounds my whole enclosure, as it should, if this park were reality. So we have very different ways of building in this game. I'm still grateful for the inspiring ideas you provide. Keep up the good work! :)

      @@blablubb4553 totally get what you mean, we all like to have our own styles 😊 I sometimes look at the giant hole between the fence and the map border and try to mask it with trees and rocks, then play pretend the fence continues, but it's just not visible 😆 anyway, thanks for the nice words 🙂 glad you like my content and consider it inspiring 😊
