I kind of disagree about language learning becoming easier after your first foreign language. English is my second language, but I didn't really "learn " it I was just watching a bunch of YT videos, as well as being exposed to it onse in a while through out my life and I became (almost) fluent. My relatives think I have some kind of talent for language learning but the truth is that I tried learning other languages and it doesn't work. I don't even know where to begin!

Iirc the reason the US celebrates Cinco de Mayo is that the War against the French took place parallel the American Civil War.
