After months of painstaking work… I recreated the TOP GUN: MAVERICK trailer in Lego, one frame at a time. This was created 100% independently out of my love for Top Gun, cinema, and LEGO.

Absolutely epic, how could you not want a Lego Top Gun movie after this?
Due to copyright, it will never happen in your lifetime. Unless either the studio or Lego Group goes under, I don't see it ever happening.
If the movie producers can see a business case for it ($$$) they'll convince the studio and the director to be flexible this one time and allow it.
Not right away , but a year or two after the cinema release of the movie.

This is so well done, I sometimes forgot which one was real and which one was Lego. I even watched it a few times. The only reason I'm just posting this now, a year later. Is because I refused to look at anything Maverick before I saw the movie myself. So thank you, this was amazing. :)

Frankly I’m impressed that a major Hollywood studio has managed to replicate your trailer shot for shot almost perfectly although I think I spotted one mistake at 0:43 they didn’t represent the artificial horizon as well as you did (honestly for some reason this bit sells me every time :) ), seriously though this is outstanding.
This might come under the heading of "nit picking". Nevertheless, I can't WAIT to go see this movie without masking up, social distancing, or showing my 'shot card' to get in the front door. Go Texas and Mississippi!
From what I've seen an Artificial Horizon doesn't exist there :D

This man even synced the actor's eye blinks and head movement, and in the side by side mode, every single movement is the same, good job
This is amazing! The amount of Lego and time this would’ve taken to make this is unthinkable. All the camera shots line up, you even have them speaking and doing gestures. For 39K subscribers, this is so under-rated! I hope you blow up.

I wouldn't say better than the real thing, but rather looking a bit more unique and with a more timeless art style... Top Gun is such a 80s thing.
I’m 56 years old. Watching this reminded me of when I was a little kid playing with LEGO. Brilliant animation.
0:42 the standby ADI moving accurately really makes that so realistic. You can't see any instrumentation in the real video.

@@theos.1649 No, this guy does stop motion videos. Not CGI videos. This dude it also probably the best person when it comes to stop motion on CZcams. He works VERY hard on each video.
How could he make the mouths move? Or the smoke? A mix of stop motion and cgi?
When I saw the LEGO trailer, I thought it was amazing. I didn't realize how truly incredible it was until I saw this side by side comparison!!! Outstanding job!!!
