I've heard that if you reduce the size of the rear sprocket it will increase its top speed. Make it bigger increases its acceleration. Idk if its true or not. Someone correct me if i'm wrong!

Yes it's true. You can also buy a pinion with +1 tooth for the top speed. 2/3 tooth of rear sprocket is equal to 1 tooth of pignon!
