It has been two years since this interview but some reason here I am in 2020 drawn to this having heard of Junior Byles's exploits by some of our own citizens. I feel the pain because we are all related despite being near or far. However, if there is in the music fraternity exists a foundation to assist our people even to the point rehabilitating them from unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances for which they have no control, I am willing to support in kind. Also much respect for featuring this human being who had done much to uplift the joy in the hearts of many including myself with inspiration. One Love ❤.

This elder I know used to tell me about Jr Byles when I knew nothing about him, and now I see tjis, I'm happy that people still remember him. Junior Byles is a legend of the reggae music, and if you don't know, it's the Justice system that destroyed this man, police used to beat Junior Byles just for being a Rasta.

My heart feel sick to watch this man, never knew him before , but I know the song. We have to take care of people who bring joy and laugher to our lives, music is such a big part of life, yet the people who made it possible end up like this right under our nose, come on Jamaicans look out for the people , keep them under your wings.

Union dues will be paid Quarterly,those monies will be invested in some sought of high yield escrow account to support the artists when and if they need it. True. But some old artist like to diss the newer ones saying their music is rubbish and none a dem better than old artist. Dem fe low the new artist to do dem thing unless dem a offer positive advice. The thing is, music has changed, the world has changed. If old artist want respect they need to respect and guide the young instead of breaking them down. I grew up on 80s and 90s music and I heard good and bad songs. Likewise, the new artists have good and bad songs.

The 1st time I ever heard of Junior Byles is when I went to Chapotle on my lunch break at work and they played him china 'Rasta Naw Pick Pocket' and I asked them who it was and they went to wear the mp3 player was and told me the name of the artiste and I purchased the song on iTunes as soon as I cam home from work

The reggae music industry is just like the old American music industry back in 1940's-1980's where if the label wasn't robbing you it was your managment..Its sad to see at this day in age these artist and musicians do not have a real union to recoup some of there losses over the years.....
