I noticed that too. The keys' holding off half a beat on the first couple of lead-ins, combined with her beautiful super-wide vibrato singing, gives this things a really mysterious atmospheric. Some of the bass lines are just too too tasty too. I can't think of a track that is so utterly melancholy and depressing, yet totally uplifting too ... like you're shrugging off this huge weight and it's total bliss. At any rate both song and singer are simply over-the-top gorgeous!!
Syncopation. You count 4/4 as I E & A 2 E & A and so on. A lot of times the keys are hitting on the “E” and the “&” Instead of the down beat, which you naturally feel more. This is why hip-hop, and R&B feels the way it does. Same with reggae; the guitar strums on the “&”
This woman steals your heart. Its rare to see someone create something like this. Perfection. Beautiful. Talented. Charisma. Soul. I love Radiohead. She utterly makes this version hers.
Entrancing & mesmerizing. A performance with this combination of gravitas & fragility pulls us in and holds us, suspended, as we float from note to note.
This girl is a real gem, she was one of the support acts when Stevie Wonder headlined at Hyde Park a few summers ago,,,, she absolutely nailed it, head and shoulders above all the other acts 👏👏👏👏
Yet another captivating, unique Lianne La Havas performance of stunning power and intimacy -- a remarkable feat at the giant group grope that is Glastonbury -- and only underscores how special she is in her ability to consistently deliver a shot of love to the soul.
Woah everything about this performance is amazing but i have to highlight the amazing audio quality and the nice camera work idk i didn't expect the video quality to be this good
This got me emotional in a level that I can't put in words. Great job from Lianne and her staff on making such an absolutely amazing song even better, and, c'mon, BBC has also made one of the best captions of audio and video ever.
This has to be one of the most universally loved Radiohead songs. Covers come in from absolutely every direction and musical niche. Powerful music has no boundaries, exists everywhere, is indivisible and completely immutable.
Eu amo essa versão. Radiohead always had a special place in my heart. And years ago when I heard her singing Weird Fishes, I fell in love. It opened a door to discovering her work, and it was incredible. I couldn't stop listening to her records.
Phenomenal performance. Love the studio version as well. I usually don’t really ever give Radiohead covers a chance, But this one gets a rightful exception for all the right reasons.
This has got to be some of the clearest live audio ever.
Yeah most of this Glastonbury footage and sound coming out this year is the best I've ever heard
@@DJ-IronMike exactly what came to my mind
Right? That drumsound, and the vocals!
Ummm apparently you’ve never heard me drunk recording myself on my cell phone
Probably recorded straight from the soundboard.
This is what covers should be. The original with a unique spin, not just a carbon copy. Amazing.
I came here to complain it’s different but you’re right actually
Isnt a cover isnt?
cover but remixed
The keys holding off half a beat here and there is dope. And of course, the whole performance is amazing. Great cover. Way to make it their own.
Pretty sure that's why he played the original drum beat for the first bar, so he and the rest of the band could lock into it. What a great cover.
Yeah, I noticed that the drummer started off with the OG beat. It also helps the audience get a frame of reference.
@@DrunkChimp good spot

Sometimes CZcams offers up real gems that you've never heard of before. This is one of those times. What a great find.
This is a cover of a Radiohead song, not sure if you've heard it but if you haven't, be sure to check it out.
The silence in the crowd when she sings "wierd fishes... Wierd fishes" I can't deal with this girl ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Incredible. I've never seen a crowd so mesmerised by a performance. Stunning.
the silence!!!!!
@@simoncarswell3515 never?! It is awesome but, my man, you need more gigs 😘
It's simply not mixed in until the end. You can hear the slider going up at 5:24 :P
Love Lianne, love Radiohead - this is an absolutely brilliant, beautifully arranged cover of a brilliant song.
Everything you say it's true... ☺️🙌🔥♥️
Totally agree for the same whole reasons !! 🤘
Those harmonies are so subtle and so effective. This is up there with the in basement. Actually living legend.
😳
That (vocal) vibrato is so delicious
Thinking the same thing, it’s so slow and delicious!
This woman steals your heart. Its rare to see someone create something like this. Perfection. Beautiful. Talented. Charisma. Soul. I love Radiohead. She utterly makes this version hers.
The minimalist solo after the break was lit tho. So far the best cover of this song.
Very few people can cover Radiohead and Lianne is definitely one of them. I love it.
i wanna live in this video.
yup

This is an awesome cover!! CZcams algorithm delivered on this one. :)
Why everyone uses this stupid algorithm comment?
she goo
@@tweedpenguin712 just how it works CZcams shows you stuff it thinks you might like. Same with all social media. Nothing stupid about it.

The bassist is on fire
YUP. Wish there was some video of those fingers on fire!!
Lianne covering Radiohead is always a treat!
She's cool!. I like what she is wearing. Especially the hat. Such a high standard of acts at this year's festival 2022.
Saw her in Sydney Aus opening for ColdPlay and she was delightful. Always loved this version of Weird Fishes, she made it so romantic.
Now that was a moment. Beautiful song with a beautiful delivery. One of the rare justified covers
that is one of the best covers I have ever heard... She adds so much feel!!!
Weird fishes is one of the my favorite songs of all time and she killed it. Favorite cover of this song
Entrancing & mesmerizing. A performance with this combination of gravitas & fragility pulls us in and holds us, suspended, as we float from note to note.
Notice it's called "Weird Fishes" with no "Arpeggi" because they took the arpeggios out.
Whoa, how did I just only now find this? A hard song to cover and they nailed it.
Such an amazing singer and musician, thank the gods the music industry has not sucked out all her talent and turned her into a product.
She blessed us AGAIN!? At the same festival, YEARS LATER?! What a gem! 😩❤️😍
This girl is a real gem, she was one of the support acts when Stevie Wonder headlined at Hyde Park a few summers ago,,,, she absolutely nailed it, head and shoulders above all the other acts 👏👏👏👏

After pressing play and as a few moments pass and way before the song ends, I am covered in goosebumps. Breathtaking. 🎶
The outro is something else entirely... Such a powerful moment.
Voices of Angels, and a song by some weird geniuses! So good! Extraordinary cover!
Yep, exactly
Summer of 2021, in the middle of the pandemic. The NPR introduced me to this fabulous artist on a Saturday evening, covering my favorite band. 😍
Woah everything about this performance is amazing but i have to highlight the amazing audio quality and the nice camera work idk i didn't expect the video quality to be this good
Glastonbury recorded every show but it’s only available for uk and I’m guessing this is the version from their website
This got me emotional in a level that I can't put in words. Great job from Lianne and her staff on making such an absolutely amazing song even better, and, c'mon, BBC has also made one of the best captions of audio and video ever.
her voice makes me melt, so glad i discovered her through this video
FULL BODY chills at the end
This has to be one of the most universally loved Radiohead songs. Covers come in from absolutely every direction and musical niche. Powerful music has no boundaries, exists everywhere, is indivisible and completely immutable.
I will always love this woman. She’s just absolutely phenomenal, as is her band.
Phenomenal. So much substance to this rendition. It feels so original while maintaining the etherealness of the song.
Amazing singer composer and band
my favorite rendition, so lovely and such a special song
This cover is amazing! especially 4:40 just wowww
What a perfect find for chilling on a Saturday!
Weird Fishes. I didn't know Lianne La Havas actually held the last word on this song. This is magnificent.
Shaking the lemons is such a nice touch lol
