Every year from October to April, millions flock to the ever-popular Global Village. Launched in 1997 with a series of retail kiosks, the open-air destination has grown in leaps and bounds over the years and now serves as a staple treat on Dubai's winter calendar.
Whether you’re coming for the fun fair, the food, the nightly cultural entertainment or authentic shopping, Global Village has something for everyone. You’ll find more than 90 cultures showcasing their local products within 27 lavish pavilions and over 175 rides, games and attractions.
The entrance fee to Global Village starts at AED18 for tickets purchased online, while rates begin at AED20 when bought onsite. Tickets are priced higher for weekend visits, however, entry is always free for children under three, senior citizens and people of determination.
The best time to visit Global Village is perhaps during the early evening, when the sun is about to set and the inspiring lights of the sprawling destination come on. Traffic is bound to be less before 8pm and an evening spent at the open-air site with fun fairs and live shows makes for a memorable, colourful and relaxing time.
For those who plan to visit in the afternoon or late night, Global Village is open daily from 4pm to 12am, with closing times extended by an hour between Thursdays and Saturdays.
