Respect to Julie for jumping in that cold and muddy water
She is such a trooper! Smile is contagious as well!
She’s a Rock Star!
Women rule!
And Dave too, both had to do it
Julie is fearless, she has a great personality.
Tie a float around the pond end of the pipe so you can find it easier. Also a screen around the end will keep out the bigger contaminates. Very exciting find
This is a great idea!
Was just coming down to suggest this too
@@LGJM83 Yes, some kind of buoy attached to the water intake. And a screen of some sort to keep larger debris out.
Exactly👍👍
Intake screen filter, float, and a foot valve to turn on and off at source.
Already having water piping to the ruin seems like a real bonus.
How couldn’t you love these people!
@@benny1975 They are living our dreams. (i know it's not all as romantic as presented in the videos and the winters are cold and the summers are very hot there.) I applaud them for having the guts to leave stuff behind and take such step in life and trying to do the good thing.
@@KneppaH 100%
I've wondered what the large ruin actually was intended as. Next to the pipe it appears there is a water trough, so maybe for (dairy) cattle or (less likely) goats?
I can see Julie in 3 to 5 years time heading up her own project Kamp, as she seems to be an all round individual, clearly administrated to all roles thrown her way.
Yeah when the shit hits the fan you want her on your side not the other way around, thats for sure
If you put ceramic fiber cloth around the door and the chimney on the pizza oven, it'll take up the expansion of the metal rather than it fracturing the clay
I was thinking of the same stuff here. Kaowool is a product I'd run into while researching how to forge metals at home.
I've got corporate job that recently got very hard and I'm stressed that I might loose my job and I won't be able to support my family. Somehow those videos let me get rid of the tension. There's something about building everything from scratch, community that makes me believe that even if I got fired I'll be able to make it. Thank you for that.
Hey I’m sending good thoughts, that sounds really tough, I hope you can find a way to look after yourself and let your family support you as much as you’re supporting them, I hope things turn around!
You got this man! We're rooting for you!
Don't give up.
You will get through this we believe in you!
I have exact same feelings like you
Same for me, buy actually I got fired from my job 1 month ago, so it a quite journey but I'm okay thanks to my family
Colline is quickly becoming my favourite kamper, she has suchva fun energy and I'm so glad shes back again from last year!❤
i lost it when she said "if you're knotty" ahahahahhaha
You should put a filter box inside the lake, ideally floating just below the surface (so it picks up neither sediment nor surface grime) with a valve right next to the pond, so that you can open and close the valve without having to get wet. This also gives you a very easy spot to tie into in case you ever add another source of water (like a second pond)
Amazing... next on the channel: while digging for carrots, Project Kamp finds the Lost Inca gold.
🤣
If at least they had planted carrots... maybe next year 😅
😂
LOL
@@r3fuG4d0 True that. With so much fertile land, and looking at the farms of neighbours, I would expect by this season to see more planting, farming, harvesting of vegetables, corn, and so on...
For the rope that you use in the end for the bridge :
If you put the whole rope in water (for like 15-30 min.)before making the bonding, it will be stronger afterwards and more durable.
The reason herefore is: If it is wet the rope gets loose. When you bond it while it is wet, the rope can dry after you finished and the bonding will be even stronger, even If it rains. (I commenly use this for benches, or similar things where you dont need nails or bolts, in German Forrests for hikers & Tourists)
Was it a jute rope? It looked very strong
In English (at least in my area) we call this technique 'lashing.' I lashed some wild cane together to make a really nice privacy screen in a very similar way to how you all put the bridge together. Love watching your material!
Poor Julie, always "volunteering" for the messy jobs 😄
It's a sign of her legendary status :)
Adrien is still dry, missed opportunity for a group Hug! 🤣🤣🤘👍
I don't see anyone saying this but in my humble opinion the filming and editing is superb this season! On the other note i want to say Julie is the mvp and Jules is great hope to see him again.
Can't wait for the digger !!!!!!
Completely agree - the show flow is better and Julie rules.
28 minutes?! You guys must love us as much as we love you!
I would love longer episodes like last season
@@blimaYT same
I really enjoyed this video, Jules' path and bridge was great and the nose on the oven was a fun touch
It looked nice, but those stairs are a bit impractical with wheeled tools like but not limited to wheelbarrows (already shown in the video). And I wonder how long that rope in the bridge will last, especially in the middle.
i hope we will see the infrastructure he builds on the drone footage soon :D Like a city building game but in real life
Have you thought about using old crushed roof tiles for pathways? It would use up a product on the land already and reduce mud.
They're ceramic so they tend to shatter in such a way that you get some sharp pieces, might be more trouble than it's worth with all the people in sandals and the like.
@@chriskieta8725 They aren't ceramic, they are terra cotta which doesn't break with the same sharp edges as ceramic. Terracotta is fired at a much lower temperature than ceramic, it isn't vitrified which is what gives ceramics sharper edges when broken.
you can youse also concreat mixer and ad roof tiles inside with rocks and turn it on with watger and it will make them not sharp
Jules using wooden pegs to secure the bridge was extremely satisfying to see.
9:13 JULIE is a Rock Star🤩!!!! standing there shivering 💪🏾💪🏾while Yay-ing the cold water she was just in👏🏾👏🏾
Hey good people, I have a couple of suggestions for you. Since you have a lot of firewood, I think it would be good to make a rocket stove for cooking. It consumes little fuel and gives a good temperature, it can even be with an oven. You can use the material for it you can also find it at a place where metal is recycled. And for heating water, you can make a couple of solar collectors, for example from old refrigerators.
Greetings from Serbia✌️
Yes, rocket stoves for tea, coffee, cooking every time, quick and efficient.
For showers, larger quantities etc, I made a short narrow trench and lit a very small fire there, long sticks poking out, push/pull for more/less heat. Stand a big metal dustbin across the trench in the morning, fill with hose water, and soon you'll have the equivalent of a domestic hot water cylinder running all day. Insulate at night. Minimal effort. Just dip a bucket when you need some. No unsightly plastic.
I loved Jules' section, it was so satisfying watching the path be built and also the bridge.
Julie is such a natural on camera ❤ love to see her more and respect to her for jumping into that cold water 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
you should get a metal detector and search the land, maybe some pipe, maybe some old treasure, for the pipe in the lake attach the head to an old boe so its easy to pick up
A neighbour might have one they can borrow!
everything about the water pipe was so much fun lol
I look from the beginning three years ago all episodes of „Project Kamp“. All episodes were very interesting, but I love this and the last video particularly 😊! I think these two episodes have more structure, than the older ones. You tell us very interesting and humorous stories and the introduction of new participant of Project Kamp is very nice and informative!
Thank you very much ❤!
That lake-pipe stuff was really cool. Potentially very useful in the future. This is the most extreme way of recycling. Not only above the ground bus also underneath. I very much enjoy your videos every time. Keep up the good work. You all have the guts to leave your normal life behind and live and build your dream. impressive.
The knots and rope work at the end, in English the X knot she started with is called a Clove Hitch and the rest is called Lashing.
I like this new guy. Making paths, trenches and brigdes? Hell yeah!
The pizza oven and it's update with new compartments is so charming 😂
watching this community putting so much love into improving things makes me so happy
The ditch to keep the water away from the path is functionally going against the concept of the swale slowing and capturing water. You will end up with erosion there, causing issues to that apple tree. If you wish to keep the ditch, fill it with a gravel-like material -or more woodchips - to slow the water.
"weapon of choice ✨️ThE SpOOn✨️" is gold lmaoo
Julie is such a good sport and team player ❤️ Always willing to do the harder things like land clearing 👍🏻
What a great video! I loved every minute of it and wished it were longer. Editing is outstanding this season, and the Kampers introducing themselves is good to see.
love the introduction to the new candidates, makes you get to understand them better, also the bread link is reaaly interesting
You guys should look into putting in "natural swimming pool" type water circulation and filtration systems in the lake/pond. Gonna be a crazy mosquito breeding place if not eh.
Wow! The pizza box looks terrific! Kudos to the designers and fabricators!
your starting knot on the bridge was a clove hitch and you were lashing.
I was taught that the type of lashing used is a square lashing.
Looking for the water pipe feels like a treasure hunt xD
Much love from Canada.
Julien is my new fav. 👍😉
love the new box for the pizza oven ! everything at one place seems to be really efficient :) love you all, have a great season !
This looks incredibly fun, the work to find the water pipes, this is just my kind of outside work!!! Adventurous, messy and a celebratory when you succeed :D
Video number 4 asking for "spikey bushes" merch.
The stuff with the ropes/strings and sticks is called "lashing" in english.
Also add a hand rail to the bridge please! It'll help you use it when you're tired or its dark outside!
i was shocked they hadn't thought of that already
Also, those gaps in the 'ends' of the bridge do make me anxious, one could easily trip there.
Yep - lashing - that's the right word, and you beat me to posting the answer. The bridge reminds me of earning my Pioneering merit badge.
Be very careful with flour so close to the heat, if the flour gets aerosolized it can cause a fireball.
Correct, but not much danger with a (usually) closed container.
Good job on refurbishing the pizza oven! I'm a little worried about the paint on the oven door, as you painted it (on the inside). it may release toxic chemicals when baking. which is not ideal for your bread and pizzas.
some recommendations:
1. Pizza owen - use different ratio of sand to the clay.
Use for next time also liquid glass to the mixture for more durability. You can use fiber glass to fix broken area or chicken wire under plasters. But crack which you opened must be also bended on sides between crack sides ( inside plaster).
If you want better quality of plasters use several layers and keep them dry first between every of other layers.
Best idea for fixing is put chicken wire on the top and put layer of plaster again and on the top optional is broken roof tiles or bathroom tiles like decoration and for streangth.
In the connection area of the owen and chimney you miss the connection piece. it has connection piece in the middle wider aprox 2-3 cm all around. it will fix the chimney pipe and also there is fire proof rope on lower part which fill gaps. and last think add the piece of the metal on the top of the door frame to keep smoke out of clay and go directly up not touching owen from outside.
2. the paths are nice, but is better to put wood pieces to lindseed oil, especially parts which will be under the ground and aprox 5 cm on the top of ground. the closer wood is to the ground faster rotten will be. Better is to charing it in the fire. Charcoal make it water proof and more durrable. And last thing, good is that the bridge is on the stones, but better will be charing that parts because they will be most of the year wet where are connections. Lindseed oil is good also like preservation, but better before construction than after. Especially the rope will not last long like this. better to put rope inside lindseed oil, squeez it and after do work for next time. The moisture will destroy rope fast.
. Bem, tenho o mesmo forno á 30 ANOS!
loooove the edition and music. excelent jon Jules!!!!!❤❤❤
Happy with the new update, here is my like and comment to support engagementscore for the algorithm.
Julie rocks! But Dave.. you forgot to tell her about the alligators in that water! :-D
8:58 now that is the picture to put on a T-shirt !!! 😁😁😁
Looking at this just gives me peace, I always love the new updates and I'd love to be there one day!
Always loved Coleen bright personality. Gosh, that girl is so adorable
Always fun to see how resourceful people solve problems in a cheerful and positive way. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!
you definitly need a "Kota", a finnish firehut for the winterseason.
I just love all the different accents and the positive personalities! I'm addicted to your channel after binge watching everything. Could you put people's name when they first appear on the screen?
Hello love watching you from Northeast India 🇮🇳
We call it "Lashing" in english at least here in the US. (wrapping the rope around the bridge spans @26:49 )
Yes, Lashing. That specific starting knot is commonly called a Clove Hitch in English. There was actually no need for all those dowels, as proper lashing will do the job just fine. Good video!
Julie has a fantastic attitude to any job just jump in and have a go. a real star learning a new language prickly bushes is now on my list 😅 I’ve watched all your videos 😊
Special hero merch suggestion: 'Julie celebrating with snorkel' T shirt and any other 'Go Julie!' prints. Thank you.
(And then when you show it to her, you can make a viral second line of 'Embarrassed but happy Julie' prints!)
The Pipe diving with Julie and Dave was hilarious!😂🤣👍👍I just always look forward to all the New unexpexted Tasks. You All are an Inspiration to humanity. God Bless🙏🙏
The roofing tiles that you don’t want to use no more can be crushed up and used for pathing
It could also be used as a border to
Great video! All good segments. I am glad it seems that Spring has been kind to you all!
Good job on everything. Love the knotting system.
I love how simple all this is.. just living and working on the land. during spring time in Europe....
Hi! There is a lot of pressure. You could be interested in some "ram pump". I use it for gardening almost 3yrs. The first prototype of the ram pump invented at my country was about year 1920. Pretty clever and easy solution how to transport water even above the level of the pond. Use just kynetict energy of water itself 😊 Hope to see some project about it in the future 😉
That's enough pressure for a microhydro system. You could be generating 1-2kwh continuously with that water for sure, out of a recycled washing machine or any number of recycled parts.
probably enough pressure, but I think the pond doesn't have enough refill capacity to let it run all the time.
I love ALL Project Kamp videos!
Great video quality to the editor! Love the path making. As someone with a lot of mixed mobility friends, I'd like to see what solutions you can add in long term for extra accessibility. After all, long term community building means addressing the needs of the elderly too
I loved that update, very cool energy from the new campers this season, keep going guys ❤
So cool that you found the pipes
Julie is cute, brave and smart. ❤❤❤
ep 111! can’t wait to see what the camp will look like at ep 222 ! I don’t write comments alot on videos but I adore these vids, and I love to see all the solutions you make and things you build ! I especially love the storage fix for the oven in this ep, good job #^__^# !!! Hope you’re staying well-rested out there in the heat of work ❤
These videos are so helpful. Thank you Mr Dave and your team.
Great episode. What an all round fantastic team!
Those steps look fine, much better than the slippery slope. Good job at fixing the oven for this season! I still think building a new pizza/bread oven next to fixing the old one was the best solution. 2 ovens! More pizza, more bread and more dry working/hanging out places for the increased number of campers during the summer.
This episode made me laugh out loud multiple times, I love getting to see the kampers personalities! Thank you all for bringing joy to my day!!
Nice episode! Nice way of storytelling, more of this please :)
Great video, good working group, very funny, please all stay safe.
Great finds on your land . Bread looked delicious 😋 😊
love from kenya ☕
thanks for thecontent its really entertaining and calming
Alaa! nilikua nadhani I'm the only Kenyan who watches this.Kumbe kuna fans.
Loved the music in the building of the bread supply organizer. I would love to hear more jazzy beats in the future :)
VERY cool watching that oven repair!
Great video. Lots of progress
the oven looks amazing now
Congrats, Julie! You're the Employee of the Week!
Putting flower next to an area with embers/fire is very dangerous. You should keep that very far away from the oven.
Bonjour. Daniel
Don't know why, but this was the funniest god damn project kamp video that I've seen; each of the kampers in this update were incredible
Looooveeeee. I'd love to learn more about your organisational and decision making structures.
This seazon already on fiiiree 😃😃😍 soo good to see more than one project in one video! well done guyyys
Very interesting update, finding the pipes was very cool.
Been watching your vids since day 1 brother !!! You are the man.... I hope you find some land that you can build on straight up it felt like I was apart of your journey.... looking forward to whT the future holds for you mate...
Watching your videos makes me feel good!
You might want to store your bowls upside down on the shelf, so that no mice fall into it or bugs or dust. Then all you have to do is give the bowl a quick wipe when you want to use it.
Always love seeing thr mamosa trees get more use than just fire since theres so much of it
Very useful for irrigation and huge gardens.
You can use old concrete pipes as water culvert and level above the pipe with natural soil, that bridge looks fun, good job
@10:52 Colline's energy is so contagious. Thank you for sharing.
Would be amazing to see the new fountain become part of an overflow permaculture stream/pond system. Awesome find!
How exciting you found the piping!!
