Our girls’ catholic high school made up the chorus in our hometown. The principals were townspeople-mostly working class as it was an industrial town, largely French Canadian. Marvelous voices.
I just learned about this. Our schola is practicing it for a future TLM. I really like it.

This is such a wonderful performance. I think that maybe it is very hard for this Korean choir to read and sing this in Latin as it is so literally foreign to their own language. Beautifully done. thanks.

St. Gertrude wanted a relic of the Holy Cross. Our Lord appeared to her and said that it would please him more than any relic that she should write down the last seven words that He spoke from the cross. She was invited to spread this message.. This performance perfectly captures that same spirit and is as valuable as any relic to be venerated in the spirit of the cross and the sacrifice of Our Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation.
To God all glory. Could I have a copy of the orchestral grid? I really wanted to do with my orchestra and choir next year.

The translator does not give the correct information on this video. The name of this cantata is The Seven Last Words of Christ, by J. Theodore Dubois. Its wonderful the choir can sing it all from memory. Very good performance.
Très grande qualité d' interprétation, la diction latine est parfaite ce qui représente pour eux un travail phénoménal surtout sans partition pour les choristes et l'œuvre de Dubois très intéressante.. Bravo !
La obra es muy buena, pero seamos sinceros: la interpretación no lo es. Muchos fallos de coordinación entre unos instrumentos y otros, a veces también descoordinación del coro, y si entramos ya a analizar la letra no acabamos. Hay que poner más cuidado con la pronunciación, y no me refiero al acento típico de cada país sino a fallos flagrantes. Un ejemplo en la séptima palabra: No es "hora sexia" sino "hora sexta" 18:50
Superbe oeuvre, Mais cela ne vaut pas la version excellentisime de l'Ensemble vocal de la Cambre.
