Huge difference. You definitely improved the appearance of the entire street. I'm surprised the neighbors haven't complained. I know back yards don't always count in violations but that back yard looks like a breeding place for critters. Great job working in the heat! It's 95 degrees where I am today.

I am glad i live where i do. We take pride in the neighborhood. For about 10 years I cut half of my elderly neighbors lawn front and back and the folks on the other side cut that half. We did this until she went into a home for seniors and the place was sold. If the property had not sold, we would have continued to do the lawn This kept our property values up and the whole neighborhood looked great.
It seems you are a somewhat rare in that you actually care and do something to help others. Congratulations .

Once I crossed the street to a neighbor's empty house and started just clipping the vastly overgrown sidewalk hedge. Got it about 2/3 done and then the house was sold. 😃 They finished it.
More recently my next door neighbor left his house, and I started mowing the front lawn. My first riding lawn mower!
Babysitting wasn't interesting when I was a kid, I made money doing yard work, had a bright idea and called a realtor on a house for sale that was way overgrown. YES, they said, clean it up. Made $40, big money in the '60s.

Pretty sure it's more of a hassle for you to bag the grass, but I really think that's the best way to mow a lawn with that many weeds and that overgrown. I'm glad you did it. Yeah, not my yard, but I'm a bit OCD about that. Looks great by the way!
