Since its release, African Leather from Memo has been massively hyped and popular throughout the fragrance community.

My first niche fragrance. Bought a decant (thanks to Ash) and it was love at first sniff. Gets me compliments as well. I have 100 plus fragrances and none smell like it. Love it!

One of my fav Gerard, I can wear this more often weekly casually so that I can save sprays of my more expensive and similar scent profiles of Tauer L'DDM and A'CDD for special occasions.
There you go! I have decants of the Tauer and they are very similar.
This scent is really good. I let mine sit for a month. It reminds me of my CH Men Prive a bit.

Hahaha I never got that until this past year when he was jammed into everyone’s algo.
Never got this one because i like real leather like Falcon Leather. I do plan on getting a decant though. Cool review thanks for keeping it real. It’s funny in the fragrance industry where they say leather as a note and there is no leather.
So weird they do that hahaha!
African is awesome one. It's very sharp but unique. Love at the first sniff for me. Announcement ... there's 200ml bottle now.

Funny enough I really do enjoy saffron in fragrances, and I own quite a few fragraces with pretty prominent saffron in them, but African Leather I just cannot get down with. Something about it doesn't sit well with my nose, so to speak. I do love Korres Saffron Tobacco and Saffron Spices, though. They are great saffron fragrances for anyone who may be interested in the note.
This is a great observation saffron can be VERY polarizing especially when its front and center like it is here.

I do like 2 sprays only from inches away or it’s too overwhelming to me. I bump the wrists together to spread that one spray there, and the other behind my neck. Beautiful and enough.

I think it’s a clone of Spicebomb but they have like 3 or 4 different flankers and they all smell good. Gold, bronze, black, silver
This smells like Rochas Moustache/ tuxedo with a more masculine vibe from the leather,cumin and oud.
Interesting I never drew the connection.
It's really nice, but definitely not for everyone.

Hey man I just got a bottle of this and it smells a bit different and a lot less strong than the sample I got from the store, do you think that is because it was reformulated or do I just have to let it macerate for a while?
I've experienced the same thing with fragrances over the years. I don't think its a reformulation issue.
If you have the money, BUY THIS!! I don't, so I bought Maison Alhambra Afro Leather after sampling the real thing. Fellas, to me, the additional $120 extra you will pay for the real thing is ABSOLUTELY NOT worth paying! Afro Leather will get you 90% there and it performs basically on par with the original! GUUD NUFF FER ME!!

I’ve talked about it on the channel a good friend of the channel sent me a decant. I liked it.
@@gerardgeorge, as much as I love the smell of MAL, unfortunately, it doesn't last on my skin, 4 hours max. Xerjoff Ivory Route gives me a similar vibe with a monstrous performance. I'm currently wearing XIR (1 spray on each arm) and with Fedric Malle The Night (1 spray on the chest + 1 behind the neck). I'm getting whiffs of both scents and both are projecting very well since 8am, it's 2pm now. I wish XIR came in 100ml.
Thats pretty messed up how poor it performs for you. On skin it last me 8-10h and clothing not even directly spraying on, just from rubbing off around my neck last over night or longer.
