i think its normal, as you go faster, the wind blowing much harder through the radiator which make it cooler
Idk what others told you but this isn't normal. I used to drive my 2014 c250 and it would be around 85-90 range and then at some point that started to happen and sometimes it droped to 60c. Just replace my thermostat and I'm back to steady 85-90 range no problem

I often have my temp level at 90 whenever I have my Ac on. And most times it's lower when the Ac is off, is this normal????

Mines runs at 90 degrees with the ac on. I just got it so I haven’t noticed how it runs without the ac. I’m going to see now. I am a mechanic so I will definitely let you know. Also I’m hoping it’s because someone filled it up with water. I’m changing to OEM antifreeze. Hopefully it levels out
Not normal at all! Oil temp needs to run over 100 degrees to burn off any contaminants in your oil… thermostats should open at around 97 degrees oil temp. Nowhere near 80
This is not a problem. The engine temp is changing dynamicly if you throttle hard, to prevent overheating. Normal engine temp is 100 degrees and on hard throttle it drops to 80 degrees. Your cat is perfectly fine

Hi there, I have a MB C180 and I have the same thermostat problem; I checked it out with scanner and the program does not show any problem. The technician told me it is normal. I will wait if I can notice any else about it

На помпе клапан управляется вакуумным приводом , он прикрывает поток , служит для быстрого прогрева ,по сути второй термостат . Плохо когда он клинит в закрытом положении , лучше когда проходимисть через каналы двс полная . Это из -за него ,шток управляющий "краном" помпы подкис . Выдвинутое состояние - полностью открыт. Если открыт не страшно . Хорошо видно если снять защиту с помпы

Today I had this issue, with the car owner was shocked and scared, that he said I went to the dealership, and they says it's dangerous driving this car,then he came my garage, and been explained him it's fine,normal thing in German cars,especially BMW,and,Mercedes. Hi I have got a class mercedes a180 2014 w176 petrol engine sport 1.6 I replaced the waterpump and thermostat and expansion tank on the dashboard temperature shows 95 or something and when opening the hood or bonnet the engine feels to hot 🔥?

My 2014 C300 Does this also, Mercedes Said its normal, Thermostat opens around 87 and closes at 80, It happens more on the freeway, But nothing is wrong though, no error codes, no over heating etc.

Hello, what should the fluid temperature be? I have a new thermostat, I use the car scanner application while driving and the temperature oscillates between 95-107 degrees, the fan will turn on at 107 degrees, isn't that too much? the analog clock shows the temperature 10-12 degrees lower

Between 80 to 95 is good apparently for the W204.
Ok here’s your choices on that replace the thermostat or coolant Sensor or do all and the flush or just take it to a Mercedes specialist and let them take care of it

Иногда такая проблема может быть, если чип тюнинговали мерс. Так как термостат элетроуправляемый большой круг может открываться и при низкой температуре , если ‘мозги’ получают сигнал, что скоро будет нагрузка повышаться и температура двигателя увеличиться. Так называемое превентивное охлаждение. Снимите термостат и проверьте его в тазике с горячей водой сначала, потом может надо продуть сильфон. Если сам термоэлемент в порядке, то скорее всего это программное.

I have a 2012 eclass 350. The temp intermittently drops to zero, thus engaging all the cooling fans. Switch off ignition then back on, problem goes. The engine check light comes on after this happens about 6 times. I have a diagnostic tool to turn off light. Changed the temp sender, still does it. Can anybody help?
Might have a coolant leak and air gets in the system.

I am having the same problem. No leaks, plenty of antifreeze but began blowing some cool air out of both inner vents. 2000 E 320. My 7th day driving it.
I have same issue and changed almost everything and tested everything and still have same problem.
@@MrCoolvibeztv8079 There is nothing wrong with it, it’s just the way it’s made. I read the manual, you can turn off that Activated Charcoal Filter, close vents during the Winter and set your temperature to 79-HI. I just keep the temperature off on a decent day. In a nutshell the Activated Charcoal Sensor kicks on when the outside temperature is 45 degrees. A few mechanics told me it normal for the temperature gauge to rise. 1 said, “it can go up to 120”. Long as it doesn’t hit the red you are alright. The thermostat opens at about 87 then will go back down to about 80 after it does.
@Marvin barksdale my issue is the temperature gauge drop to 40° then my fan comes on and won't go off unless I switch the engine off and start again, I scanned it and it says temperature sensor malfunction so I changed the Thermostat and temperature sensor and I am having the same problem, I went ahead and check the ohms of the sensor and its reading the correct ohms.. I also checked for any short to grounds or any of the circuit and nothing comes up ..
@@MrCoolvibeztv8079 It might be the fan. In general I read a comment about there’s a software issue that can be updated at your local Mercedes Dealer free: regarding the fluctuation of the needle. That needle going up and down scared me because I had just got rid of a van for overheating. I had never had a vehicle’s temperature gauge go over 80 without an issue.

Hi, this is not normal, this issue can damage your DPF filter. After updated SW in Mercedes dealer (for free) problem solved. I have the same car w212.

For all the guys wondering i work at a car garage every mercedes does this and this isnt a problem the thermostat opens at c87/90 just like every other car their design is just very anoying but every merc from the last (atleast 10 years) does this because idk but this sadly is normal and anoying design

Термостат. Не помогло - промой радиатор,не помогло, меняй помпу. Если нет смотреть вспомогательный насос если такой есть или подогрев от egr если такой тоже есть.
100% не термостат. Радиатор тоже не причем так как при этом должен был закипеть. Помпа не знаю. Но не вариант что при большой скорости снижается температура? Так как на 100-120км/ч все ок. Как думайте? Просто многие сказали что у них тоже так
@@AmazingRoad это термостат нада оригинал wehler такая фирма, не оригиналная не работает.... Кагда машина деЛает так бензин заходит в масло , паетаму цеп и вануси умирает, check запах масло

@@AmazingRoad i still wonder why other other M274 very stable as fix at 92oC. My car fluctuate and little sound may be from y133. The sound is similar when actual y133 in xentry. Whenever temp drop, i turn on y133 (value is 0%) then the temp increase.
How about the vacuum pump. Electronic part of y133 is good however the cacuum not enough to forces it close?

This will sound strange but my car was like this and i fix my problem with just simple instrumental cluster update. It cost me 20 euro in mercedes shop. Just tell them to remove the old software and install new one. Well problem is not solved by 100% but problem is less visible. In my case i only have it once for a month. I can live with that. Before that it was every day. So you can trie it its not expensive solution.
У меня также.заменил термостат на пробеге 110 тыс первый раз,греется быстро,до нормы,но когда еду по трассе надавлю то она вот также плывет вниз до 80 и даже до 70 иногда если очень холодно затем очень быстро поднимается до 90 град.незнаю что это,дилер смотрел все впорядке ошибок никаких нет,на днях был у знакомого в часном сервисе МБ они думают что это датчик ож,но электронно ошибок никаких нет.уже незнаю что думать.у вас в чем дело было?у меня м274 мотор.все ваши проблемы у меня тоже всплывают так совпадает очень странно.

I see there no Problem. The Temperature was made cooler at higher Power and higher if there is low Power on the Engine. There is an electrical heating in the Thermostat for this.

That’s not a problem is normal for mercedes! If u are diving on motorway the pemperature should be around 70-90 and in the city 80-90 ! I been told by one very good mechanic! My Mercedes does same thing! If temperature stays between 40-65 for long time than you have problem! Or more then 90

I did this and still have the same issue 😕 temperature gauge still drops below -40 then fan stays on till I switch the engine off and restart again then it's fine for a couple hours then back to square one..

@@user-cf1zs4jk6o у меня тоже сначала вниз падала температура а сейчас после зимы выехал и она по трассе как сксконула резко до 120 и сработал вентилятор я испугался остановился и открыл бочек антифриза а не кипит ничего шланги нормальные по городу когда еду нормально а по трассе скачет до 120 не знаю что делать 🤷♂️

Не термостат 100%. Рано утром завожу и после 1 минуты езжу на 80-100 вода сразу 90 градусов, что не возможно если термостат не закрывает. Также радиатор холодный. Так что я знаю где термостат и как проверить
Have the same issue temp drops and hot air comes out the ac until temp evens out most likely thermostat failing replacing mine today and fyi this is not normal at all had my c300 for 3 years and this is definitely a problem and mind you I live in Az anyone telling you this is normal is an idiot
