You say you hope we didn't find the video to be too long... Hardly. These are so enjoyable. I love the process and the scenery that comes from it.The entire world you are creating is wonderful.
agree, would actually like longer ones, fantastic build and detail
That Cafe and Apartment came out great Norm, that lit
Cafe sign was the cherry on top!! Awesome!!!
I’m totally blown away…words can’t describe the amazing modeling quality you have installed into this building. Outstanding!
Just fantastic. The interior of the diner really does look like an Edward Hopper painting. Thank you Norm.
Norm, great work as always. Every time I watch one of your videos it inspires me to work on my layout. It would be great to see how you use your 3d printer to make parts
I can almost smell the cheese burgers on the grill! It's always a treat when you post a video. Thank you.
Stellar, another fine build by Norm. I love the way you’re fleshing out the layout. Thanks for bringing us along. 👍🏻
Your attention to detail is incredible, and these videos showing the process are just captivating.
Great work, really fun build. Thanks again for these great videos. Masterclass stuff.
GENIUS! MAGNIFICENT WORK NORM
I love your building episodes. More of them please. 😊 Greetings from Germany.
Great video! Looking forward to next project x
Excellent vid Norm Thankyou! With the trains becoming so detailed it's only fitting the buildings and landscapes should follow. Yours makes the trains secondary. The dinner in "Nighthawks" was done by "Boomer Dioramas" on CZcams... another artist on a higher level. You people inspire us all to do better. Thanks again for all you do. 👍😃
Another wonderful tutorial, Norm! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your master modeler techniques with us.
Impressive artistical details and you’ve eliminated them wonderfully for viewing both “day and night”. I enjoyed every moment of this video, your creativity is never boring.
Another stunning interior, loved every minute of this video.
That building, and all you others look wonderful. I don't have the tools you have to work with, but I do some interior work on the buildings on my layout. This gave me some good ideas, thank you.
You are a detailing wizard! Awesome! 👍
You do beautiful work. Really enjoy your build videos.
I don't have the space for anything like this but these videos keep me sane while I'm working. Attention to detail is fantastic. Thank you 🙂
Best minis around!!! Thanks for the awesome content, Norm!
Your workmanship is outstanding. The video was not too long. I enjoyed every minute of it. You have done a very professional job on this entire layout.
Looks Fantastic Norm! Love the interior Retro details.
I love the building (I've got that DPM building ) You've done a great job . I think another smaller shelf with cups between the bathroom door and wall switch . Keep up the great work .
Ok, Norm - you've taken interior builds to the next level! Keep doing these clinics, and we'll all learn how to up our own build qualities. Great work, and thanks!
That just blows my mind. That is awesome
Truly admire all your hard work and time to "super detail" this DPM model structure ...
Wow... just wow! You've outdone yourself yet again! You continue to blow our minds with an unmatched level of detail. Truly appreciate you making these videos. They are so enjoyable! - Ryan
Excellent detail work.
This was great! I wish I had your talent and equipment!
Brilliant!! I always learn something. Thank you Norm......
Wonderful! It's great to see it coming together...so many lovely details...so realistic, thanks for sharing :)
Love the building. The faded painted fresh coffee billboard on the side is great. There’s a real building in my town. When they were stripping away the first layer of paint. They came across a billboard sign like that on the first layer. They left it and restored the rest of the building around it. Looks great. Your layout definitely has that old presence feel. Thanks for sharing. Ken
Norm, you do some GREAT STUFF! ALWAYS look forward to your videos and watch every second. Thankyou.👍
The video is not too long. I always enjoy watching your projects. You are very skillful and creative with all of your modeling.
Cool interiors i don't think you give yourself enough credit. Those are some of the best interiors i have seen very realistic and well thought out.
Absolutely love this video! I really enjoy watching you make the buildings and all the little interior pieces of furniture and all the accessories.
More of these please ❤
Brilliantly executed as usual!
Absolutely fantastic work
Love your videos! I wish you would show the process of each step. None the less, every detail nailed!
I'm with you, I like that residential holdout in the business district. It adds contrast and a sense of how things have changed over time, aka implying history. We had couple of those in my home town that lasted well into the 90's when some shady dealings made financing easier to get, and most were quickly torn down - though one did get relocated to a residential neighborhood. As for the video length, I don't usually have the time to watch something so long. But I really don't know how you could have cut the time down any more. Everything was so fascinating, I don't know how you could have left any of it out.
MAN!!! You outdid yourself on this one!!!!
Great video. You're an artist. I love your videos.
I remember saying in one of you videos that you just can't make a short video anymore! Well, some of these are more than short enough, I enjoy your videos so much I watch them over and over again!
The problem with you Norm is you don't know just how good you are. Clever beyond belief.
" He better not be at the train store tonight ...." 😂
Tremendous work! Structure looks amazing now!
Wow - insane work. Fantastic.
Absolutely beautiful. Work like this breathes new life into O scale.
I would love to see a video on your process of modeling objects to print. I struggle getting things the right size too lol
fantastic work.. great video..
Fantastic Norm!
Awesome as always, love it.
Great work❤
Outstanding and again the bar has been raised.
I envy your 3D ability. It is the one area I have yet to acquire any skills. Thx
I appreciate your videos on the buildings, it helps me get better ideas for my stuff. I really like tinkering with led lighting and am continuing to hone my skills, my big issue is getting wires small enough and getting them where I need them. I have a 3d printer but have a lot of learning to do on that as well. Thanks for the info!
If you check out my Northbrook Shops vids I showed the use of 32AWG magnet wire for connecting SMD LEDs.
Will do!
The rug really tied the room together
have not even clicked it yet, you make great video's. going to grab a beer and sit back. You are Professional 100%
Awesome video 👏
Excellent! 👍👍
Wow, incredible
Damn brother, that’s amazing work
Wow!!!!! Nice job!!!!!
mesmerized...
Very nice build !! Resin printers are such a game changer. I mostly do military modeling and dioramas, but what you can do is only limited by your imagination. Tinker CAD is such a quick and dirty program for the bulk of drawing up components but my goal is to get better at Fusion 360. You can detail out your parts so much better with soft edges radii and such. Well done sir !!!
I think I downloaded Fusion 360 but Tinkercad is so dang fast and easy!
@@normstrains yes it is. Exactly why I still haven’t mastered Fusion 🤣🤣
Great detail
that town looks like the perfect set for a 50's film noir--great stuff
AWESOME 😊
Amazing 👍🏼
That rug really ties the room together.
😂
Awesome been waiting for more videos
The world’s greatest modeler… 🙏🏻
WOW... Im speechless.....
You should put a flickering TV in the living room!
love your work. that kitchen needs a fridge
Its Norm!
Those building roofs are a little too clean. Some bird life would change that.
You have an amazing talent
Very cool 👍🤠👍
Thanks!
🤩
Ahh classic scale!
Great result, nice attention to details. May I suggest something?
Why not to make an abandoned builfing? maybe after fire. Like empty brick "box" with burned sealing and crumbled roof with loots of weed around.Every town always got some abandoned buildings and I didn't seen sny on dioramas)
Sorry for bad english.
as a wargamer you train guys have forgotten more than most of us will ever learn in terrain making
I love watching the war gamers and military modelers for their techniques. I’ve been using the ideas to step up my efforts.
Nice video norm!
lol can I rent out that top apartment?--greasy spoon burgers --cheap booze and beer in a dive bar----and the lady in red on the corner and of course trains
Where did you get the led lights? Great video!! So much details!!!
Amazon and eBay are good sources.
Great talent and video Norm. What is the green board in your shop with measurements and where could I find one?
Amazon or eBay, just look up self healing cutting mat.
Looks awesome 👌 👏 👍 🚂🚃🚃
Where’s the sand lot?!
Norm!
Okay I'll play, "How you doing Norm?"
Did you put ash trays on the diner’s tables? Really great work!
It’s the one thing I forgot 😢
Have you ever put the exterior stars for the upstairs band board ?
Love your build videos. What do you use for a power supply? Is it a dc buck and where can I get them?
I have been using the cheap-o LM317-based adjustable ones. I prefer the ones that take AC in so I can run them off my accessory bus. You can get these for less than $3 apiece on eBay, Amazon, etc.
Nice work Norm, what brand of LED’s are you using and what gauge wire? Great thought processing from inside to outside. Thanks for sharing.
No idea on the brand. I just search for 0402 SMD LED and go from there. I use 32awg magnet wire mostly.
@@normstrains Thank you!
12:13 wow!
Not sure how 7:49 got in there 😆I should fire my editor.
were you a Hollywood set designer?
Norm, could you do a video on building a coal load?
Maybe next time I run some hoppers through the shop!
@normstrains appreciate you, bro!! BTW, please stop downplaying the importance and value you add to the community. All of us love everything you provide to the community! I am building my 1st ever layout and I have watched all your videos! My wife and I love your content and the community loves it as well! Your rock! 💪🏾
Scale??
