Personally I prefer guns to be fairly light but muzzle heavy. Best of both worlds. Easy to carry and shoulder yet still has the controllable swing of a heavier gun. I want my best guns to be both usable in the field and on the range.

Tip of the YEAR re these budget guns (nothing wrong in that BTW, not everyone can afford a Beretta) is this, just FORGET 30 inch barrels, and get a 28 inch versions instead and suddenly you have a gun that actually shoots really bloody well. I am currently holding a 28 inch Koff 20 bore for a female friend of mine whilst she applies for her SGC and have tried it out on our shoot and my cartridge ratio is the equal of my 30 inch 695 (if not slightly better but lets not tell her that!). By chance the best shot in our syndicate just happened to purchase the exact same 20 bore for his son, also 28 inch and I have witnessed him bringing down seriously high birds with it, and now he cannot sing its praises enough. Folks, PLEASE just forget the snobbery and just appreciate that these so called "cheap" Turkish guns can bring home the bacon as long as you accept that all you need to do is alter your mindset by accepting that they are muzzle heavy and so you just buy them 2 inches shorter because after all, "2 extra inches doesn't matter as much as technique" as the actress said to the Bishop!

    • @Lethal_Intent

Or just buy a decent 2nd hand gun like a nikko, winchester etc the market is flooded with cheap guns at the moment its a buyers market you can even get something like an old 686 cheaper than a new kofs/yildiz. You'll save money and have something atleast half decent quality wise and designed for sporting and not a field gun and probably have a better trade in value should you decide to ever PX it in.
