My original X D-Arts figure broke the same arm as yours back then, and a few weeks ago I ordered this bootleg. Fortunately I could replace the broken arm successfully.

That neck is bugging me.
I just got mine in the mail today, not knowing it was a bootleg. It's better than nothing but I have all the same problems, especially the shoulder joints. I got his right shoulder rotated maybe like...15 degrees if that, and It now will not budge. I feel like if I force it, it's going to break. Too late for me lol but thank you for this PSA
The neck is always a dead giveaway. The bootleg boxes are also super obvious.

I've had my D arts X since 2011 and it still hasn't broke, thank goodness.
Can you review the MP-36 Megatron? They have some for around $22-$30 bucks on ebay and I think that they are bootlegs. Its based off of the g1 megatron.
Based on having tinkered with a handful of these, the faults with the shoulders are uniform throughout the bootleg run. Fortunately at least, a bit of cleaning the flash out of the joints plus some dish soap to help loosen and clear out some plastic junk from there tends to clean it up without too much hassle. Unfortunately the buster effects are not so easy to fix, as all X bootlegs are missing a small buster attachment with the hole in the center that would normally be slotted in to hold these effects properly.
So soak the shoulders in dish soap?? Or run dish soap and warm water through to clean the shoulder joints?
@@zanose219 I found a bit of both worked in the bootlegs I picked up and rigged for customization projects so far. I also recommend using a pointed edge or xacto carefully to clean out the excess plastic from casting issues that seems to be a common issue in the bootleg run, keeps things running smoother that way.
Ok.any other advance on repairs? Very much considering buying for my marvel vs capcom shelf and stop motion
@@zanose219 If my memory is correct, be very careful when trying to pop out the legs if you are trying armor switches should you have first armor X; the real pieces do not seem to fit very well in this case on the bootleg joints, and I find the left knee into boot joint is particularly badly fitted, making it prone to breakage if you try and pull it out without sufficient care and actually a bit of plastic trimming to reduce the lip on the back of the boot. If you wanted to paint the neck the correct color, it's actually made out of a softer, rubbery plastic which is easier to remove than you'd think, and with a bit of sanding around the sides to slim it up also allows for notably better range of motion than you get right out of the box here.
Actually the original has a separate buster piece without the gem to put the blast effect
My bootleg Megaman X has arrived yesterday and if you want to buy the same bootleg here is how i fixed mine(looks really close to the original as far as i can say from pictures and videos):
-Painted the neck black but keep in mind that neck is soft plastic so if your paint is not so dense your paint might not get applied and leak to your body and mess up the figure. Anyways second attempt was succesful but the paint started to fade a little so what i did was cover it with black electrical tape.
-For stuck arms i saw two methods. With dish detergant or hair dryer. I did both lol. Put a little dish detergent first but it was still stuck and too risky to force so after detergant i applied heat.Now it's not perfect but it moves okay.
-For falling off arm pieces, i didn't want to stick the buster completely so i just put a little bit of super glue and attach and remove the part repeatedly while it dries so that it won't stick completely.
-Neck piece still doesn't move lol. Althought the attachment joint between head and neck works so it can move up and down. However that attachment with head was a little too loose so i did what i did with arm pieces. So it's not stuck forever.
Please if you try anything i said and you didn't know these methods already.Make it on your own risk.

Will buy the same figure myself because original is extremely expensive. Will paint the neck and do some fixing for sure. But still better than marvel vs capcom 2 pack megaman x figure lol

Tannerj50 That's pretty good. Type 2 Zero Ero is the best looking Zero. I have no Megaman figures currently i am thinking of buying either this bootleg or megaman x vs iron man 3.75 inch 2 pack. They would be the same price with shipping. But one is original other is fake although Darts fig looks so much better.
I heard the 2 pack wasn't that good of quality but I haven't seen it in person ,maybe check reviews

This figure had a re-release and that one was fragile as fuck. I had both and the original is still in good condition while the re-release one has two busted arms like yours.
