Moab (/ˈmoʊ.æb/ ⓘ) is the largest city and county seat of Grand County in eastern Utah in the western United States, known for its dramatic scenery. The population was 5,366 at the 2020 census. Moab attracts many tourists annually, mostly visitors to the nearby Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The town is a popular base for mountain bikers who ride the extensive network of trails including the Slickrock Trail, and for off-roaders who come for the annual Moab Jeep Safari.
Moab is home to one of the nine regional campuses of Utah State University.
Mike, you’re lucky; NO TRAFFIC!! I’ve driven through Moab on a summer weekend and took 45 minutes to go the two miles through town; insane!! I’ve also driven through when it was slowing there, and down to 4-corners and into New Mexico; amazingly beautiful!! Thanks!!

Now was US-160 still 30 miles afterwards I-70 Utah. NB and SB only ways!
Was US 160; now US 191, still 30 miles south of US 6/50/I-70. Arches National Park nearby, and this is the adjacent tourist trap. Most of the amenities are available, and there's apparently some high-toned real estate (wouldn't have a Sotheby's office for the mobile home parks). Gotta have those modern amenities. The scenery is, well, Rockies-oriented. US 160 returns in Colorado and is the highway at the Four Corners monument further south.
Yeah still need to get out to Four Corners. Such a remote area.
