As a Swede I'll try to explain this briefly:
Rasmus Paludan (Danish politician, who also has a Swedish citizenship) decided to burn the Quran. This is allowed in Sweden because we have - as you said - freedom of expression. While it may seem provocative and unnecessary to burn something that is "holy" to others (note that it was his Quran, lol), the muslim community proves his point with their actions: they don't accept or respect Swedish law. And furthermore, they're willing to break the law to prevent others from exercising their freedom of expression.
