You guys should be so happy with this man!! He is a tactical genius and a very good people manager. On top of that he respects his players a lot. Its crazy how good he always remembers matches in the past. As a feyenoord fan we miss him a lot. He really brought joy to the city

We now already miss u at Feyenoord. Liverpool i think u have the best trainer in this generation. At Feyenoord he was SlotForPresident. Legend, YNWA.
Love how he identified the problem in quansah and fixed it as soon as possible, That change made all the difference and allowed us to control the second half. These key decisions on the fly separate the best managers from the rest. Very promising sign for the future.
Quansah wasn’t the issue. He was the busiest defender whilst VVD stood and watched. Quansah even had to put a block in when VVD gave the ball away.
The reason we played better 2nd half was because our midfield started pushing forwards , taking the pressure of our defence. Konate hardly had to do anything.

In any case Konate, in my opinion should have started and should be ahead of Quansah, like it shouldn’t even be a debate. Not saying Quansah isn’t good or ‘busy’. He is not on Ibou’s level.

This is the first interview I've watched of his and I'm very impressed with his attitude. No excuses, defending the players as a team and not as individuals and calling it like it is.
Saw most all of his talks at Feyenoord and will keep following Slot for his examplary leadership, football know-how, humour and eloquence. Great to hear him talk English. Good pronunciation for a Dutchman, he clearly took some lessons. Also nice to see he lost quite a few pounds, he looks fitter than ever. Willing to bet he's gonna win the league within 3 years.
I like this coach. He trusts his intuition on making changes by half time if needed. Slot ball will be something to bestow! YNWA

First & foremost, great start to the new season for all Reds! But Premier League football clubs.. 2024… When, oh when will these people provide a decent sound for the room? It’s all good hearing answers, but it’d also be nice to hear the questions more clearly, to get full context. Costs almost nothing to get done.
If I was the owners and employed Slot I would back him massively in the transfer market.
Its good we did not sign anybody, the next transfer Window will be more important when other Clubs have empty pockets 😂. Remember we had no challenge when we signed VVD.

Noticed last season especially that we had become a second half team. Other teams realised this and would blast us in first half and that's why we conceded first and so early last season. 24 times I think. Old habits die hard but slot recognised the problem straight away and i hope we will turn into a 90 min team. May have a downside in that players will tire in second half but that is why we have 5 subs to use.

Still we need CDM that fits Arne Slot type of Football, so far we have Bajcetic ,Tyler Morton ,and macca,to play front the back through his double pivots.
I don’t know how true this is but we were in a taxi last night getting back from Ipswich and the driver reckons Nunez has to sort his English out (as well as his shooting!) Slot, wants them all on the same page as Pep L used to translate Klopp’s meetings to Diaz and Nunez…the driver was a red like…
Jota, Pool’s most important and efficient forward player. They desperately need to keep him fit if they’re to mount a serious title challenge. I remember last season saying to my brother the second Jota got that nasty injury, “that’s it. That’s the season done”. Because you could see how wasteful his teammates were becoming in front of goal just around that time. And that’s exactly when the psychological momentum started to turn in the wrong direction.

Liverpool won and that’s what matters. But I wonder if this is how Slot is going to keep the team playing🙄because it wasn’t very convincing. Mac Allister and Ryan as DMs is a problem. Jota is not really known for playing as a lone striker let alone as an effective one. Salah scored but you can tell he does better being deployed as a RWF.
This current squad of players isn’t good or known for being a productive team in a system such as this one.
Ideally it would be best to see Mac Allister playing in the 10 role so he can be as productive as possible. The same goes for everyone else.

@@junioradult6219 🤔I wouldn’t say they played fine because it was very clear that Ipswich were the better team in the first half. Liverpool are just lucky that they were facing a team such as Ipswich otherwise they would have gotten crushed.
Also it’s yet to be seen if Liverpool’s defense has gotten better because again it’s Ipswich can they do good against a team like Man City, we will have to wait and see.
