So funny, Kayla, that you have never seen bubble lights🙂 We had them when I was a child in the 1950's and every year it was a "thing" to see if they would bubble again. They might have lasted longer if my mom didn't store them in a hot attic? Anyhow I was so excited to see that they were being made again several years ago!! Found them at Walmart. I bought some, put them in night lights and I'm still enjoying them. Hope they still make them! I do remember learning that you can't sell them online. It will be interesting to see if they are still available in 2023!

Since I started watching your videos, I’ve started going to yard sales again (I usually only go to estate sales) and picking up items I never would have! I got a new Nest camera for $30 that just sold for $160 and a new in box sprinkler controller (which I normally wouldn’t have touched) for $10 that just sold for $126! So thank you for opening my eyes to selling things I never would have before!

I think you are learning alot from Kayla. Noticed several times now you picking up silverware and pots. Kayla is looking at hats gloves and other things she just would pass bye before. You 2 pick well together. I am learning so much.
We had whole strings of bubble lights on our Christmas Tree back in the day. They were normal tree ornaments back in the 50s when I was little. They were beautiful and it was fascinating to lay under the tree and watch them. 🎅
Early in the video I laughed out loud when Kayla asked what something was and you answered “I don’t know,” but you were putting it in your pile. True picker instincts there dude. 😄👍🏻

I am highly disappointed in Kayla for never seeing bubble lights! I was JUST thinking about those a few episodes back when you found the blue clear glitter candle sticks and the cupcake topper things. I am SO glad i got to see yall come across these. fun video.... if you ever get a lamp that has a cool shade, I have shipped with shade before, best way is to do two boxes with separate shipping labels. its gotta be a cool shade that makes the lamp though.
You can tell the older 'bubble lights' by their cord and plugs ( older are generally a darker green cord and socket/plug). They still maker newer light sets. Even some of the fairly older ones (say 25 to 30 yrs) can still bring decent money if they work, of course.🙂

The newer ones can be sold online. Maybe not Ebay due to their stricter rules. Amazon is A-OK with them ( newer versions). The old ones basically had alcohol in them that when heated by the light made them bubble.🙂

I watch all the garage sale channels and yours is by far my favorite! It inspired me to start doing my own ebay selling and it's been a really fun experience. My Grandparents used to have those bubble lights in their picture window when I was growing up. Thank you for that memory, I lost my Grandma last month and it’s always nice to think of her. They are really cool lights.
