Is there galaxy-eyes lore at all since it's a anime deck?
The reason the dark contracts are associated with the DD archetypes is because demons are associated with enticing mortals with contracts that seem amazing but they have costs and twists and loopholes that let the demons take advantage of the mortals
And just like some of the stories, the deck allows you (the mortal) to avoid paying the price of the contract in a few ways
@@UltimaXVI it is cool that divine king rage the card version of the original user makes you escape the cost meaning reiji found a way to cheat the demons
The contracts sap away your life over time as well

You forgot to mention that the Super Doom King extra deck monsters reference past antagonist from the previous Yu-Gi-Oh series. Purple Armageddon being Zorc and Nigthshroud, Bright Armageddon is Z-ONE, and Dark Armageddon is Don Thousand.

@@Varagon7403if you compare the art of Zorc from the Anime to purple Armageddon you can see the similarities like for example the tails are similar in Zorc and purple Armageddon. And for Bright Armageddon you can see the white mech arms in both Z-one and Bright Armageddon. There are much more similar aspects in the art when you look at them side by side.

I always liked how all the Contracts the D/D/D do are with other monsters or archetypes to "exploit" their particular abilities. And the life point cost is their "royalties" for those services.
Someone seriously needs to make a dark fantasy action RPG based off Yugioh lore. I just wanna explore the world that is in some of these cards.

@NMR Doesn't have to be. They could base the rpg off of the duel terminal lore in yugioh which has a set story, world, events, and characters.
In Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel they made up an entire Story around the World Legacy archetype, explaining the connections to Mekk-Knights and Crawlers
they already have if it’s a yugioh card a game or movie of it exists
Plot twist D/D/D actually stands for Dungeon Dice Dragons
And d/d/d/d and the inferior d.d.

3:20 Kaiser is based on Julius Ceasar, the roman general and proto-emperor. Kaiser is the germanised version of Ceasar, just like Czar is for russian
correction ceaser is the Anglicized version of kaiser in latin C's can't make an S sound and his real name was gaius iulius Caesar and it just got mutated over time
Wave king ceasar is based on Julius ceasar not Kaiser bro

This came at the right time as I just finished updating my D/D/D deck & trying to get the combos right

This is my favorite archetype and I'm very happy I got to learn all the name origins.
By far my favorite from Arc V, having access to most special summons is pretty sweet!

The ending of the video talking about dungeon and dragon , ironically enough yugioh was originally based on shadow games in the past till Pegasus made them in to cards so it’s probably like that
Even my favorite pendulum is Odd eyes, But when it comes to playing, DDD win hands down to me. You can summon different types of extra deck and yes, I prefer pure DDD than putting Bronne, Savage, Crystal wing, generic etc in it.

Once upon a time I was jokingly said to my friend that D/D is based on D&D (Dungeon and Dragons) and the D/D/D (Dungeon, Dragons, and Demons) is the extensions. It seems I was not too far off.

Yu gi oh should make a separate anime on the different insane lores of the cards
Even with everything updated, I strongly advise they make it so that the main format of Yu-Gi-Oh! Adds 5 additional slots for the Extra deck and 5 additional slots for the side deck so u can run at least one copy of these cool Extra Deck boss monsters plus what if we get new synchro & Link support!!

Wow I've been looking for a video like this. I've always wanted to know about the lore of the ddds
I like it has a variety of card types and various inspirations for monsters, each with a role: mythological monsters, scientists, historical and legendary leaders and rulers and apocalyptic beings
For monsters, the centaur, the minotaur, the merman, the satyr, the manticore, the harpy would be missing.
I think DDD is missing 2 Syncros, they are almost always groups of 3 like Genjis, Alexander and Caesar
One could be the paladin or champion of kings like Orlando or Lancelot
And the third evolution of Ragnarok is missing... a Synchro on the throne, Xerxes or Arthur
Instead of an evolution of Caesar they could have put Augustus, who was his heir

Hard to believe that even in 2024 there are still many D/D cards that never got a real world print.
You know, that last bit actually makes sense. It'd explain why one of the D/D cards depicts characters that have seemingly nothing to do with D/D/D at all

The Japanese name of the card is: *Go-D/D/D Divine Zero King, Zero God Reiji*

Yeah they are unrelated but it's ok cause mainly the original D.D. events mostly revolve around D.D. Warrior Lady who used to be Warrior Lady Of The Wasteland and Dai Grepher if I remember correctly. I love them but I was hoping they would explain seeker and D.D. Warrior after he got all Sasuke looking though.

That's the same "issue" happening in anime where "isekai" just literally means "another world" but it's treated like a genre when it's in fact a setting, and if you think about it, Digimon IS an isekai and it predates the likes of SAO...
Case in point I think he should have mentioned them and do a shameless to another video lol
