As a kid, when I discovered this show, I couldn’t believe it was connected at all to Ed, Edd n Eddy thanks to its creator. It’s so stylistically different from Ed, Edd n Eddy
I like the concept of The Brothers Grunt; I like the grotesque art style and wanting to have some lore behind all the nonsense and randomness. Sadly, it ended up being a somewhat boring cartoon.
For me, it's one of those shows where you get more enjoyment by watching a couple of short clips on CZcams rather than watching an entire episode by itself.
I remember seeing Pan Pizza/Rebel Taxi briefly talk about this in a top ten video and describing it as “Ed, Edd n Eddy meets Oddworld”.
After becoming a huge fan of Oddworld back in 2017, I now find that comparison to be a massive insult to Oddworld.

There's a sign in the movie that says "Uncle Stumpy's Animal Park", referencing the episode "If I Could Grunt to the Animals"
okay but I'm actually really mad that only half of a really lore heavy episode is available, I will forever be stuck on a cliffhanger due to MTV never putting it out anywhere. (the episode is "the stench of grunts" please prove me wrong if there's more)
This show is one of the most visually amazing things I've ever seen, what's wrong with the internet
I grew up with old school MTV animation and I miss it I loved liquid television and cartoon sushi

Eh, The Brothers Grunt has plenty of disgusting moments, but the show isn't that awful.
I would say that Beavis and Butt-Head, Daria, Undergrads, Downtown, Clone High, Good Vibes, and 3-South are better than The Brothers Grunt.
Clone High is so criminally underrated.

I loved the Borthers Grunt. Though, must admit their attepts at a story line was pretty bad.

i actually didn't mind at all watching this show. i mean sure over exaggerated animation isn't for everyone (i. E. The Wacky World Of Tex Avery, Ren & stimpy, Ripping Friends, Rockos Modern Life Etc.) but what i think really turned people off (i could be wrong who knows) is its context it was kinda all over the place, probably one of the reasons why it didn't fair well.

I will never forget when this first aired on Liquid Television. To be honest, I hated most of Liquid Television other than Beavis & Butthead and the pilot for Ren & Stimpy, obviously. Most of it was garbage like this or "The Head" or "Aeon Flux" that were so self-consciously weird and pretentious and "different" that I rolled my eyes. This was the worst offender. It kind of just exists being disgusting. Back in '91, it seemed subversive maybe. Like something you shouldn't be watching. But seeing your review, it's probably just bad.

It shouldn't be, problem is that a bunch of terminally ill children who worship a youtuber known as"Mr Enter" judge the show on a "writing" criteria than actually appreciating animation

I think they are both better shorts than the Brothers Grunt, I like some aspects of the Brothers Grunt but it is too focused on being gross and disgusting. Nothing against this humor but of all you got is that It gets boring really fast
Even tho I'm not a big fan of the show I still find the Brothers Grunt interesting, it can be gross but it has that 90s charm, and it is very experimental, I don't think it deserves the title of one of the worst tv show ever I saw worse stuff, like Disaster Movie is still to this day one of the worst thing I've ever watched

It was a drug induced (the creators were clearly on something making this), acid washed, fever dream, of animation wrapped up tightly in LAZY writing!

Honestly I love the animation and how grotesque the characters look.
same, it takes a lot of creativity to make characters that uniquely off-putting. antonucci is a damn good artist/character designer

Personally in my opion the show has gross visuals, but if you gave it a chance it is a pretty okay show.

I gotta be honest here... This entire video the only part I cares about was the brief mention of League Of Super Evil you made.
The brothers grunt is just so... Nothing. Even if you give it a few positives there's still basically nothing there. It's kind of like complimenting a turd. Sure you can talk about its size, shape, look but nothing can change the fact that it's a turd. Good video, glad you gave it a chance but... It's hard to really care about a show like this in any sense, bad or good.

Ehh, even if you’re not put off by the design and animation, there’s just really not much to this show. Lots of wacky, fun animation but with little to no substance. It’s one of those shows that’s banking on being shocking in order to draw an audience in, which is disappointing.
Reportedly MTV showed it to Mike Judge and he said it was the worst crap he'd ever seen.

Yeah, I still think The Brothers Grunt is the worst piece of animation garbage to ever be aired. But I still think this train wreck of a show is hilarious because of how empty headed and asinine it is. That's why I like it.
