yeah... but the thing is, that Connor is a natural - he certainly exaggerates his persona - but he's just being him... while Colby invented this character and has to act this character every time he's in front of the public eye. He has to get himself in the role and be careful not to break character... His "insults" are also premeditated, made up before had... they aren't off-hand remarks constructed i the moment and it is obvious. He probably thinks about trash tak in advance and has friends other people around him helping him with ideas etc... McGregor on the other hand improvises and has excellent skills as far as word play and trolling goes...

He is for sure. But also, during some of his interviews he's cutting weight (I can hear the dehydration in his voice) which makes it more difficult to think of good responses.

This is a refreshing interview; well done Adam! After seeing the interview yesterday, which was filled some so many antics (not answering the questions, "reading a book", etc), this interview gives me more appreciation about who Colby is and what his PR strategy is. Good for him to play this role in the UFC; much of it is an act. He's just executing his business in a sport to "entertain". Best wishes to him this weekend.

I knew his whole act was a big gimmick. Unfortunately UFC has turned into a circus show since Conor McGregor hit the scene. It's no longer about the sport and your skills alone, it's only about who has the loudest mouth and most controversy. I remeber back in the late 90's when Dana White used to talk about the best fighting the best and the rank system. MMA was a sport not corrupted like the sport of boxing, now it's turned into the sport of boxing, rank system doesn't matter its all about money fights and dramatic build ups to sell PPV's. Dana needs to step down to save the sport.

When Usman was coming up guys like Colby ducked him so giving him a challenge was good but Usman winning was greater.
