So glad you found this video, as the flutes have been bringing me through a deep time of loss and also recovery from strokes. Try if you can to just pick up a flute and hold it in your hands. Perhaps you might want to play just one note. Just start with one note... then see if anything from deep inside you wants to speak through the flute after that. Let the flute help you. @RobynBellospirito What a great remembrance. As a couple of people have said, your father’s flute is an early, mid to late 1990s, High Spirits flute made by Odel Borg. As said, it can be repaired and would certainly be worth it for you to be able to play your father’s flute again. I have one of these early Odel Borg flutes and it is one of my favorites. It is a shame High Spirits doesn’t still sell a version of these. Happy fluting.

I did buy this flute from Blue Bear Flutes. It's such a lovely sound. I am very much a beginner in playing this glorious instrument. Practice makes perfect. I am super grateful for all the work that Charlie and his family do in making flutes. 😊

I see your new flute is just plain wood with no varnish or no Native American design . Did you ask for it like that ? Or do they all come in just plain wood ? What Key is that in may i ask ?
