Rachel Ratke every time I kennel my pup she isn’t herself when she’s back with me it’s nerves & change 😅 I’m sure 💖 glad she bounced back that’s normally how my pup does it’s normal for pups mine is 3 years old and still happens. Doesn’t happen at camp or when she gets groomed I think the overnight gets them way stressed 🤕

oh no please get her food with grain!! I am a vet tech golden retrievers need grain in their diets for their hearts! The poodle side of her won’t be effected too much but I know she’s mostly retriever!

I have a very high anxiety dog and she has never gotten sick out of the blue like that from being stressed out, only when she has gotten into something that she shouldn't have! I hope poor Winnie gets better soon and she didn't actually get into anything at daycare! Also my family has always given our dogs cooked hamburger mixed with white rice when they are sick like that and it always helps them not throw up or anything afterwards. Give small portions though and not the full amount that she would normally eat. I am not a vet or anything these are just things that I have picked up from my own dogs!
Be careful with the grain-free food! I know its all the rage in doggy food brands but it is linked to fatal heart disease in dogs. Both my golden and golden-doodle are on Purina Pro lamb and rice and they love it!

No offense but purina is like junk food, there are way more high quality foods she can try
mk there are different “levels” of purina obviously the kibble is not good but purina one and even better pro plan are actually scientifically tailored for certain health needs and benefits. Hills science diet is a great one too.
Maddy Stallworth Agreed! My dog is a hunting dog and he does strenuous work in the field, he has to have a high quality dog food to nourish himself. Basically like a protein powder. We use Pro Plan and love it!
I have been wary about taking my puppy to a doggie day care because kennel cough is going around really bad even if they have had the shots! So glad Winnie is okay ❤️

Yeah it can be like that often. My dog first lived for day care then he began to be anxious overnight in a new environment with other nervous dog energy. Hopefully she adapts. Mine just stays home with a care service bc he has bad anxiety and getting older so i dont want him to be stressed

omg when my goldendoodles were still puppies they both would get sick after they stayed with other families or at the vet- like the exact same thing happened!! usually they wouldnt eat too for a day or 2 then start getting better

Are the lines only when the lights are on? When I filmed inside a store, I got the same lines! But when I was else where, I didn’t get them. I get how frustrating it is!! Hope you figured it out! It looked great in this vlog. 🤍
She probably has fun going to the place for the day since she gets to play and then go home! But staying overnight is like a little kid’s first sleepover away from home - can be scary and stressful. Glad to see she’s doing better since then though!
Whenever my shih-poo is separated from us and our home , he gets that way. He gets major anxiety and stressed out. We’ve had him for three years and he does it every time we have to leave him anywhere(which isn’t much) ! He wears a weighted shirt when he is away.

We used to use that brand for our dogs and switched it because of the reviews of the grain free . Probably should look into that . Get better Winnie !!!
Rachel...I am a golden mom too and my Vet says grain free is not good ...you may want to research so Winnie will have a healthy heart. ❤
Rachel, I’m a teacher and when I had to go back to school after 6 months of being with my Boykin EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. she developed an ulcer in her stomach from stress of me leaving her and going back to school. She was using the bathroom accidentally and throwing up a lot. That may have happened to Winnie too.

My boyfriends dog gets super sick every time she stays over night at the kennel/doggie daycare and the vet said it is because she probably has high separation anxiety! They said not to feed her for a whole day after you pick her up, anytime she stays overnight. Hope this helps!

She may be sick if you changed the flavor of her food! I noticed in the vlog you got her food but not sure if it’s a different flavor than she’s used to just trying to help Incase it is ☺️ Loved this vlog
Find a dog park nearby to take her! There's even Facebook groups for people to make doggy playdates.
I would suggest Orijen or Acana food
Just be careful with doggie daycares and stuff. Maybe look into getting her a bordetella shot to protect against kennel cough. This is good to get if she's around other dogs a lot.

if Winnie is stressed you should try to give her CBD ! my dog gets anxious and stressed sometimes so we bought her CBD peanut butter and it works wonders for her!!
I also just remembered!!!! when my pup is feeling sick we make her chicken soup! works for dogs just like it does for us when we're under the weatherI guess ! we just don't add any spices or anything just chicken stock, chicken, carrots and potatoes ! hope this helps girl ♥️
