- Hey guys! First off, some of you have been asking for a voiceover type of video for a while now, so your wish is granted! In this video, I head over to the Wright Brothers National Memorial located in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina where Wilbur and Orville Wright first built and successfully tested the world's first powered airplane. The Outer Banks is a prime location for testing aircraft as it's always windy and has large sand dunes, which is what attracted the Wright Brothers to this particular spot. It sure is amazing what their accomplishment did to the world and how we travel today with ease in hours compared to days if not months. Seeing various replicas of the Wright Flyer and their gliders is quite an interesting experience as you read about them in history books a lot but never really see the real thing in real life. I'd highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area, no matter if you're an aviation enthusiast or just someone who's interested in history. It'll definitely be worth your time. Hope you guys enjoy!

This was very enjoyable. They did a great job with museum. You did a good job presenting it to us. Yeah too bad about the restrictions keeping portions of it closed. You’ll have to come back again one day when it’s fully open/functional.
Thank you so much for showing this video, Chris!!! Now want to go there!! Awesome!!!
Great video Chris. It was good to hear your voice as you showed us around the site. If I have 1 suggestion about your flight videos it's this. Hearing you talk makes the information and experiences more personal. Can you add some narration to future flight videos? They're very interesting, but your talking makes them even better. Thanks for all of your hard work on all that you do!
Terrific videos! The Wright brothers used to work in a bike shop.
Awesome video as per usual TJG13! I really like the voice over and you did amazing and this place seems really cool! Just curious, would you consider making a video like this about the incline transit system that goes up the hill in Pittsburgh?😸😻😸
Thanks bro! And maybe!
@@thejazzguy13 thanks!
You are a true gift to me. All of your videos are well beyond outstanding, but this video is truly the most well-done video I have ever watched. This video reminds of an extremely high quality documentary on PBS. You should earn a medal for the effort you put into this video.
I completely agree with everything you just typed!😸
@@ryanfrisby7389 I am glad you agree. Chris is just so diligent with his videos.
@@crazycoollady Really, who couldn’t like him?
@@ryanfrisby7389 I know, right? He has too many likable traits to count.
I visited there - from the UK - a couple of years ago. It was really interesting. I then drove to Cape Hatteras. A memorable day...
Wow! I’d love to visit the UK someday!
@@ryanfrisby7389 Well I really hope you get to travel here one day Ryan! London is great but, like NYC (for example) it isn't representative of the UK. Get out of London and you'll have a lovely time I'm sure...good luck!
@@LazyDaisyDay88 Thanks and agreed! When coming to the US, I always encourage people to start at cities like Boston or Chicago and once they have a feel, visit LA and NYC!
Super quality video once again. Amazing to think that up to 20/25 years ago, these events and the birth of flight took place within somebody's lifetime. Obviously I've heard of the Wright brothers and the location but this is the first time I've seen it on film. Nice to see you digressing from your usual fayre while remaining with aviation themed videos. Nice one!
This is really interesting! Great video.
Agreed
Awesome! I want to go so bad!
Me too
Same here
Just think about it: the Wright brothers made it possible for you to make these flight videos
Exactly
That's true.
I haven’t visited there yet sweet where will he go next find out in the next episode of dragon ball z
Lol
I’ve been to the outer banks and saw what he saw
Wow! Is it as cool in person as it is on video?
Yes
So not flight ✈️ filming?
Correct
Did the wright brothers die or something?
Yes. They were born in the 1800s
And flew on 1903: long gone buddy
Omg, He talks
