- Steins;gate 0 had an amazing set of tracks which really suited the show in general.
The dark atmosphere of steins;gate 0 prevailed right from the start of the show unlike Original steins;gate, where the start was funny and random which slowly turned extremely dark.
Steins;gate has been one of my favourite all time series. I regard it very highly not as a show, but as a milestone in the storylines of anime. This show, even with some flaws, grasped me in a way which not many shows have done.
Because I value this show so highly, I decided to rewatch the original steins;gate series before I continued with steins;gate 0. Just did not want to miss anything, and I am glad I did because unlike steins;gate, steins;gate 0 works on a pre-established plot. If one watches the show after like 2-3 years (or probably more) ( this is my opinion and might not match with others ), it is very much possible that the watcher would forget or might not be able to feel the original show as much as he/she did back when they first watched the original show. This would probably cause S;G 0 to not have that much impact on the watcher in the initial stages of the show, which basically portrays reluctance of the protagonist. Only once a watcher has connected to the original show, he/she would thoroughly understand the protagonist.
Anyway, enough blabbering about the show and my praise for it.
Coming to the track, This track absolutely blew me away right in the first episode. The track itself was soo intense, the last part of the first episode had me sitting straight up with eyes glued to the screen and no awareness of anything around me. The track was very intensely portraying the seriousness of the show's start, and its establishment of the initial plot.
"B-Messenger" immediately became the *second track I noticed in the show (yes there was another track which I first noticed and wanted). Also that track made me realize I am in for a wild ride now. Needless to say, this show immediately grasped me, making me want more. Glad I waited for the show to fully air before I watched it.
There isn't much I can say to describe this track. The melody of this track is just amazing for a show like steins;gate. But not only limiting it to Steins;gate, I say this track can suit quite a few other anime's as well, which such type of scenes and, say, surprise reveals and such.
As I said before, this track really just portrays an intense atmosphere really well.
Coming to the background and effects I used, this time, I did not go overboard. Main reason was, there just weren't any ideas I could come up with, until I just randomly watched the original steins;gate ED song (one of my fav btw). From there, I got the general picture of what I actually wanted and stuff just kept getting added on. the main background image is, again, from original steins;gate, and not from Steins;gate 0. Well the fact that I just could not find an image from s;g 0 collection that could suit this track, had a contribution in me selected this image, but also because the way the characters were shown in this image really, at least to me, displayed a sad/struggling atmosphere.
After that, the clockwork, gears, time and everything kept getting added on.
Overall result is not something ultra super epic, but I feel it does get the stuff done right.
The background itself is not a single image, but a culmination of images (except the moving parts). It took me quite a looooot of time to find out the background which could suit this.
Phew, the description went quite long this time, lets end it now with our regular end of the description now, shall we ?

Steins gate 0 is just a masterpiece
I totally agree with your statement that S;G 0 should be watched together with S;G. First time I watched S;G 0 was few years after I had watched the first season and it felt just ok. Some time ago I decided to rewatch the entire series and when going from S;G to S;G 0 I was so much more immersed in the story and actually cried a few times when Okabe was talking with Amadeus. During my second watch I missed Kurisu just as much as Okabe did. I believe that's the reason S;G 0 gets a lower score than S;G, because poeple don't watch them together and I think that's a great mistake.
If you mean "together" as in chronological order then no. You should not do that.
0 is lower rated simply because it's not as well written and the reaction reflects that.
@@quplet Agree. 0 doesn't have the right balance. The sorrow feel is so overplayed. Instead of feeling with Okabe like the original Serie, the audience was forced to feel for him. The thing is if he's that depressed he could have just killed himself. It's becoming annoying he's making everyone else suffer. We know it's about depression, but this supposed to be a story, not lesson.
Original series is both casual and natural in the flow of the story, yet the feel hit very hard when it needs to. However, 0 is watched doesn't change that it feels very off compare to the original.
Trust me the VN is even better

Just finished steins gate 0 after watching steins gate
While in steins gate I loved the characters and was amazed by how good the anime is
But in steins gate 0 I always felt sad due to kurisu missing I just felt so sad that there was a hole and it was empty
Most anime wouldnt dare to just cut a character due to the story but steins gate 0 is amazing due to how it stuck to following what happened in steins gate and not just bring kurisu back.
This is why I believe steins gate is so amazing.
Everyone wants a season 3 but I actually disagree.
Steins gate is amazing and I think that a third season would only hurt the series due to how the series ended
Okabe, suzuha and Mayuri sacrificed never seeing each other again and never reaching steins gate just so the past (OG steins gate) okabe would reach it.
A third season would only hurt the story and I think it's better off ending as one of the best series rather than a good series ruined by it's 3rd season.
There is a third Steins;Gate VN in the works btw.

Yeah, we're getting a spiritual sequel to S, a successor to say the least. Basically, be a new story, but with the same time travel focus as gate. It will also be a part of the Sci universe, which is the universe of the S worldline.

This Soundtrack is really awesome as sometimes I feel sad and sometimes I get energized.
But still I'll consider this music as a sad music because it always reminds me the Absence of Kurisu Makise in Steins;gate 0 which I felt so depressed that my tears suddenly comes out of nowhere.
Almost 4-5 days were required me to come out of depression..

Nvm. I read the description. This is it. I remember having chills and goosebumps as they were introducing Amadeus. The intense atmosphere along with this soundtrack got me hooked on the first ep.

@@pineapplelord2422 Not 24 episodes, at most like 3 OVAs. S;G: Linear Bounded phenogram and S;G: My darling's embrace are really good and are like 25+ hours of content. You also have the S;G Drama CDs, though those aren't always just them having fun. Darling's embrace fits your needs the most, it's not some fantasy where you ship yourself with the characters, it's a very funny slapstick comedy. Point is, there is a ton of content already out there.
The best way you could watch steins gate (spoiler-safe):
1. Watch season 1 till 22 episode
2. Watch "Missing link" episode
2. Start watching steins gate 0 and watch it till the end
3. Go back to G;S1 23 episode and watch till the end
4. Watch special 25 episode
5. Watch steins gate deja vu

Even tho I understand that, as it can be a bit confusing during watching. I think that the order of the plot is did like that on purpose. Even tho the actual ending of Steins;gate 0 is basically in ep 23 it's not the first time it happened there as basically ending of first season is included already in ep 1 when Kurisu says that she saw Okabe coming to her 15 min earlier and being really nervous.
It is kinda amazing for me how they did play with time there and that they used the ending to not be actual ending, but used it as explanation to what we already seen, kind of genius for me. So tho I totally understand your point, I'm really happy that I've watched everything in order as it really hit me when I realized how it actually was.
There are way too many Steins;Gate fans who hate this order, but I watched it this way and I think combining the original and 0 makes it the best anime of all time

I'll give it a second look to see if I can recreate it... I wouldn't keep hopes as my original thought was never that this would blow up so much and people would actually comment on wanting the background. I'll see if I can get the sources again.

In the visual novel re awake is played once, in the end, when Leskinen and his troups go to the roof and find that the time machine was gone.
Trust me, search "the end of a messanger" is played at the end of the bad ending and it's amazing
