Gary and his wife Joanne have seven children and six grandchildren. At the age of 25 Gary encountered the love of God the Father in a deeper way through his late brother-in-law Chris McGuiness. Consequently, Gary was Baptised in the Holy Spirit and became involved in Evangelisation and teaching the Catholic Faith. He spent 5 years in Australia working for the late Bishop Joe Grech as the National Coordinator of the Melbourne School of Evangelisation, delivering Evangelisation Programmes across Melbourne and other parts of Australia. Gary returned to England in 2007, beginning his relationship with Myles Dempsey and the Prince of Peace Community. On the memorial of St. Philip Neri (26th May 2018) after many months of prayer, discernment and discussion, Myles formally appointed Gary to be his successor and leader of the Prince of Peace Community and the New Dawn Conference.
