you can also just do 5x3+1=16 to get the correct term

I noticed something on the first problem. In the factors for 3 and 5, you have 3 and 1, and for the factors of 5, you have 5 and 1. Multiplying 3 by the factors of 5 will get 16. This may help when solving for the 16x.

For (5x+2)(x+1) I got 5x^2+2x+2, but you said 5x+2x=7x. 5x^2+2x is not the same as 7x so did you make a mistake or did I?
Let x be 2 - x^2 is 4, multiplied by 5 is 20. 5x^2=20. 2x is 24. Added together gives 44.
7x on the other hand is 28.
