I just got into this game today and love it. Picked up the starter decks and hope to keep using the Vader deck for a little while. Idk if it’s still competitive in the meta but it was really fun to play today
Nice deck tech- very similar to my Vader ramp list. I ultimately cut jango fett and replaced him with one copy of Kylo Ren - Kylo can be ECL’d and, with his buff, ambush in for 8. That 8 damage taking out enemy leaders had been so so valuable. Also, I’d run at least one emperor Palpatine - his ability to blast the board for 6 can really be useful against Sabine/aggro decks. In space, I’m trying Kyo’s silencer and black sun star fighters - so far I have been happy with them. The silencer’s stats trade favorably and it can be hit off a vader unit ability (same as the Star fighter). Excited to see how your deck evolves - I think Vader green is gonna be one of the established meta decks for sure!
Wookie Skid: Since this tournament, I have actually made the additions with Kylo and the Kylo silences and it feels REALLY good. Honestly, I was sleeping on the Kylo unit, so shout out to you! Hoping to get some more playtesting in with the edits but could post an updated list in the future.
@@teamgarage1089as someone who can’t afford Kylo ties but has krayt dragon and Kylo legendary units is running the tie fighters still okay? I know silencer trades really well. But 90$ for 3 3/2 2 cost vanillas seems crazy when other cards in the deck do so much more for the deck. My build has 2 Kylo and 2 krayt dragon for mid to late game and then my build is almost exactly like yours in this video. The only difference is I have 2 jango mainly because of his stat line. For 4 he’s really good at surviving most things. And with price on your head. Giving him 6/6 overwhelm is game turning sometimes and it ramps you to Vader faster too.
Sabine(maybe Han) is this decks ONLY difficult matchup. Here are tips in no particular order to deal with Sabine. 1. Don't get greedy 2. Time removal before units attack 3. Target buffed units for cards like Traitorous 4. Don't forget about the Vader ping option early game 5. Always go for the disrespect 6. Ramp and get to late game faster
Wookie Cookie: With Sabine ECL and most aggro-style decks, I typically move away from trying to ramp and try to get as many of the control cards in my deck. I am typically using my ECL turn 2 to eliminate whatever they played turn 1 (A-Wing, Sabine) to hopefully fizzle their turn two play (Wing Leader / Fleet Lt.) from there I try to play as much of a control style as I can to get to the flip turn and start retaliating with damage. @maravitch

How do you deal with sabine/ecl?
