We're entering a new era where the Gen Z shenanigans we witnessed for the last decade, will be considered as "boomeric". I am truly terrified of what's to become.
No, it's called getting old. It will happen to every single human that has ever and will ever lived. You are in an elder stage of life.
@@harrisbrown6800 ITS ALREADY HAPPENING, YOUR ONE OF THEM! 😨😨
pretty much every other generation thought that about the generation that came after them, IT'S A VICIOUS CYCLE.
Ima gen Z and I’m terrified of gen alphas now
@@Cool_Coder709 Coping with this unfortunate fact or actually thoughtless.
Gen Z, who made most of those words:
“What have I done”
Yeah exactly lol, we can't just shaft all the responsibility onto the literal children, we brought this upon ourselves. XD
Most of them have always been annoying, even when we were saying them.
When the hell did we create these "words"? I don't remember being a part of that meeting. I never even heard of most of these except poggers and cope until recently.
@@SpeedyBlur2000 They've just gradually been created through the same course as internet lingo, memes, trends, and whatever other dumb internet stuff usually do, though there are a lot of different "factions" on the internet now that are kinda separated, thus when some of these come from one faction/sphere, people not in that particular one are completely unaware of their creation until they take off.
A lot of these I believe came from TikTok trends, at least some like "rizz" did I think (which basically means romantic charisma, aka ability to "get a girl"). "Sigma" comes from the whole "Alpha male vs. Beta male" crowd that started getting a lot of attention. The "Ohio" stuff is just a dumb meme like any other typical meme that's from at least a year ago and supposedly died months ago yet for some reason some people are still clinging on to a semblance of it. I don't know when "gyatt" came to be but I'm guessing it also comes from TikTok. Skibidi comes from some song that was used as part of a meme that started getting associated with the Ohio memes, and then it got used in a series of SFM crapposts called "Skibidi Toilet" made by a guy who's been doing goofy SFM animations for years, and for whatever reason Skibidi Toilet specifically blew up and now that's what the term "Skibidi" is usually referencing, and I could go on but you get the picture.
It's internet lingo originating from different random corners and trends, exactly like older slang terms, not much point in continuing to go through even more of them. The gist of the origin of these is just some random people come up with them (in the case of these words, such people are mainly specific individuals/groups in Gen Z and sometimes Millennials), other people also start using it, or it comes from some popular trend, and then it starts catching on so much that it spreads and people like you who had nothing to do with its creation end up hearing about it, and then young children also start hearing it and start parroting it and overusing the heck out of it, and then you get this whole mess.
poggers has been here for years and we didnt even invent cope, we just use it a lot

"SKIBIDI TOILET WILL BE MINE YEAH"🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm just gonna say this.
The reason why Gen Alpha is so messed up is because of the fact that many kids today are being raised off a screen, and that comes with some really nasty side effects.
The first is short attention span. Due to the massive success of short-form content like TikTok and CZcams Shorts, they'd often scroll there for hours and hours instead of actually watching a movie or TV show.
Cocomelon can make a good example of another thing that causes this problem. The constant jumping from scene to scene every 5 seconds puts little kids in a deep trance, causing them to freak out for it to come back on when it's over. I've seen the show get compared to DRUGS because of this whole problem.
The second is the fact they're entirely unsupervised. What if some kid looks up the name of their favorite character only to find mass loads of rule 34 or DeviantArt fetish art? Will they think it's normal? They'll also implement such stuff in Elsagate videos, I've seen literal fetish drawings of the Girlfriend from FNF that were censored with pop-its show up in ads for sketchy game websites. Reporting such ads definitely didn't help at all.
We need to stop this. If you're ever considering having kids, definitely be sure to limit screentime in moderation. And when they get TV time, instead of playing Cocomelon, show them preschool programs that actually teach children morals and values, like Bluey or many programs from PBS Kids. That channel exists for a reason, and it's to help teach children a variety of things that'll help come in handy later in life.
We can fight back. Most are just too lazy to see the consequences.
My guy, nothing you said is anything that hasn't been said before. Boomers said the same thing about millennials, millennials say the same thing about Gen Z, and now Gen Z is already saying the same things about Gen A. You're overreacting. This isn't anything new whatsoever. Kids are smarter than they get credit for. They'll be fine.

The silent generation was the generation that grew up largely during WW2 and the depression, but were too young to fight, and became adults during the 1950's-60's.
The silent generation watched the boomers (who didn't experience a major war or significant economic change until Vietnam) come in to power very young and we're the first generation to grow up being catered to by pop culture.
My small age group are the last to remember 9/11 and be able to understand and watch the effects of it and the wars that came with it, we experienced the effects of the recession but were too young to work.
We were the last to experience analog media and have a culture that developed with it as it transitioned to digital.
Post-2000 gen Z had the potential to grow up tablet in hand even more than we did, and they experienced an internet that was shaping itself to cater more and more to them.
It's just a parallel to the silents and the boomers.
Gen Alpha is probably the least smartest generation *at the moment*. Of course that they have a ton of time to grow, and make mistakes, and try their best to learn from them, and try not to become toxic narcissists and bring that hell over to their families, if they choose to start one or not, but I feel that YOUNG Gen Zers were so much smarter than YOUNG Gen Alphas. Now I understand what my parents heard when I showed them what music I listen to
It's not that this music is just different. It's completely incomprehensible.
@@SpeedyBlur2000 Inane ramblings :skull:
Listen to good rock. I got some bad-ass suggestions to start, if you're interested:
The Struts - 'Roll Up'
Night Riots - 'Nothing Personal'
The Haxans - 'Dirty Magic'
@@SpeedyBlur2000it’s actually somewhat comprehensible if you analyze the slang and fill in the blanks a bit. It basically means “Sticking out your ass for the charismatic, you’re so hot, I just want to be your (sigma, basically a loner alpha) male, freaking come here, pay attention to me”
@Amleth-un7vz Wait, “skibidi” means hot???
Brainrotted me more than excessive stress, lack of sleep, unhealthy lifestyle habits, information overload, and prolonged multitasking combined.
The scene is actually fucking crazy.
Fuck I'm scared and I'm Gen Z. At least our words made sense when we explained it. Some of it Didn't need explanations. It was literally shortened versions of words. Sus is somehow a Gen Z word and it means suspicious. We literally shortened the word. As far as Gen Alpha. I have no clue what the hell they're saying.

Bruh they're kids 💀
man, gen z really changed nothing
All of those old 60s broadcasts warning the end of the world because god forbid the beatles didnt tell the youth to kill black people or whatever the old folk of the time wanted at that exact second does not look much different
Stop crying about it
By doing so youre actively chosing to become old
Well the reason that most people may not get it is because you have to follow semi niche part of the internet to understand what it means and since most gen alphas have a screen and unsupervised internet access it’s pretty easy for them to do that
What next? Is Gen A gonna start Speaking Martian?
As a representative of late gen alpha I can say for sure that song is a war crime

Okay hear me out the sticking out your gyattt for the rizzler piano version is kinda dope!
time really repeats itself doesn't it. People tend to forget that they sounded just like this when they were younger.
fr
No.. no I didn't.. nothing like this.. we had simple pig Latin.. when I was 12.. and even then it was amongst friends.
Lol no we didn't. We spoke relatively normally.
Indeed. And the people who are saying "No, we spoke normally back then" are just lying to themselves and aren't introspective enough.
yeah lol like gen z wasn't fawning over MLG compilations 10 years ago
A century from now, I wonder how Gen-Sigma will be like...
Nah your just gonna hear hieroglyphs at this point
Was talking to a younger friend the other day and straight up broke into a “Back in my day speech” and I am now henceforth known as “Old man” to him. I was just describing the early 2010’s wtf.
You see that cliff over there? Yeah, so do I. YEET!
This is like Minecraft Parodies we all listened to at some point in the early 2010s (they were all over) but this is the equivalent of smashing your head into a wall from sheer brain rot
WE GETTING BRAINROT WITH THIS ONE🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I CANT WITH THIS LMFAOOOOOOOO
We need to go back to when dubstep was the punching bag music man.. 2001 kid
Now you get to feel what your parents felt about you.
yeah, but dw like all things they'll grow out of it and in a few years when they're a bit older I get the feeling that we might even miss it a little
more like older siblings
@@Bucko_Bill entirely possible, but no previous generation has been exposed to the internet from infancy, we literally can't predict this. iphones didn't exist when i was born; my cousin's 2 year old daughter has her own ipad. it's not only possible, but LIKELY exposure to screens and unsupervized internet access from an extremely young age can cause severe developmental issues. we haven't done the research to find out either, because again, we literally have no precedent to research. these ipad kids are basically unwilling participants in a society wide experiment.
Eh well idk how it will effect them but the ways they'll be affected its still in its infancy, they're watching brainrot contnet ironically I think. But soon they'll find something new, whether it be content that gets the to think critically, content that dumbs them down, or just phases through them, its only the beginning and tbh I don't think it will hurt them that bad. Its just a different way of developing.@@DumplingDoodle
@@Bucko_Bill it's not just a different way, and content is not life.
As a young millennial I’m just gonna sit in the back, sip my wine and watch. GenZ is now going to know how we felt lol
Ikkkkr I was gonna say the same
Pfft "sio my wine and watch" as if this whole thing is a movie. Well your not gonna be doing that for long.
and it's terrible
We know, we hate our own generation just like you
as an older millennial, this is facts lol tho tbf the boomers were watching gen x do weird stuff and then gen x were watching us do weird stuff. this is just the nature of things lol millennials cant act high and mighty when were planking and using rage comics in every conversation lol

@@ethor7676 no, gen alpha is somehow worse . I probably relate most to gen x
I knew that eventually we would become the "boomers", when gen alpha gets their turn to say "new generations are lost", then we will truly be.

Ahh crap! Now I have a severe headache
Never let gen alpha cook ever again.
I'm gen alpha and these kids cook like the chef Remy from ratatouille had to control
The oldest are 10 they can’t even use stoves and ovens so they should not be allowed to cook.
Man, the future generations are probably doomed if this is what gen alpha looks like
