- beadaholique.com - This video shows you how to use a wire gauge tool to determine the thickness of the wire you are working with. Very easy to use and handy to have around. The tool not only shows the gauge but also its corresponding mm size.

Lol, this whole time I've been trying to fit the wire into the circular hole. Your video just demystified all my concerns and confusion. Thank you.
Just ordered one of these off ebay and you explained this perfectly
Thank you..
Thank you Julie thats all I needed to know about the gauge, clear and straight to the point.
Good to see this in practice. It is quicker if you find the slot that does not fit the material, then go up to the next larger slot.
Agreed. She didn't think it through. Also the light wire for the example was not useful. A much better example would be to use 12 ga since that is so common.
Hi, Sorry for any confusion. We use this tool to determine the gauge which is on the the one side of the tool, and this does correspond to our headpins and wire that we sell. You are correct, the backside is giving SWP which are British measurements, unfortunately (for us in the States) this is how the tool is made.
Thank you for the very important information
Glad to help!
Hi! If you know the gauge size then you can find the diameter of the wire on the Wire Gauge Guide chart listed in the video description underneath this video. Then you can look at the descriptions of the beads you are interested in and often times they will list the hole diameter. By comparing your wire diameter to the bead hole diameter, you can figure out if the bead will work in your project.
Zoinks! I was using the hole to measure. This might explain why the wire I order isn't matching up.
Great demonstration video ma'am!
Very God video. Tells me what I needed about the gauge of wire I need
Great article, I posted it to my Wire Guard distributor's FB page for our customers to check out!
Thank you
GREAT VIDEO AND NICE JOB !!!
Yes, one of these in AWG would be better. I was going to get this one which would be handy also, but an AWG one could compliment this it.
Dear would you please tell me what is Difference between AWG and gauge
thank you, that was very helpful! God bless.
thanks
Glad to help!
Thanks for this video! But I agree it is a bit confusing that this tool measures with the British gauge measuring system, when it appears that the wire and headpins you sell are measured in AWG. Or perhaps not? Can you please clarify?
Hi Julie:
Useful video. However knowing guage number how we will be actually using it in our project. Lets say, I have 22 guage wires, I don't know which beads I should buy to work on the project using 22 gauge wire. So is there any way we can find out the bead size from guage number?
Thanks!
Nice!Thank you!
Where can i buy this measurement tool disc?
We sell the wire gauge disc on our site here: beadaholique.com/products/stainless-steel-wire-gauge-measures-both-standard-and-metric
when we have wire which is covered by insulators, in that case how do we measure?
Amrut Katigar splice an end out
Thanks
Amazing! U didn't know those existed! I'm ignorant!
I could be wrong . . . but, that gauge is marked S.W.G. That is the British measure. For it to give an accurate measure of the wires used in the USA, it needs to be an A.W.G. gauge. From experience - I bought one of those (elsewhere) and what I knew to be 20 gauge wire did not fit in the "20" slot. That seems to be a common misconception. Went to a bead show on Sun & asked a vendor what size wire the headpins were, and he took out his S.W.G. gauge, which doesn't give an accurate measure.
Where can you buy that !!!! I am tried of buying head pins to weak or too strong for the job I live in Australia

That's pretty cool :)
Good
how gauge affects the current?
Our channel focuses on wire for jewelry making so we're not electrical experts, but I think to find out how the gauge effects the current you can search for "voltage drop calculator" on Google. The thicker the gauge of wire and the shorter the length the less voltage you'll lose. An online voltage drop calculator can help you figure out the exact numbers.

Market mein uski price Kya hogi
At the moment the price is $9.19 plus tax & shipping: beadaholique.com/products/stainless-steel-wire-gauge-measures-both-standard-and-metric
to be fair, thats not exactly the technical process for determining wire gauge, but its probably close enough to be perfect.

First view and first comment
if it wouldn't fit into the 24gg slot why would you try the smaller 25gg?? unless you thought the gauge was broken?
you lost all credibility when you did that. the instrument is an ok tool but you are NOT the brightest tool on the bench!
@Mountain Grown Nomad - Is your video comprehension poor or are you just a total asshat? It DID fit into the 24 gauge slot. Watch the video again before you call people out and tell them they've lost credibility.
Thanks
