This box definitely got me outside of my comfort zone!!! I thought it was really well curated.
Do you have any good ideas for fixatives? I always hesitate before sinking lots of time into pastel pieces because I inevitably ruin them by touching them! I'd love to hear your ideas!

This is one of the most well thought out and curated boxes from Sketchbox! Those Derwent drawing pencils look so good, but that white pen looks incredible. Hard to find a good white pen that goes over stuff.... and this looks to do just that. Love the campfire. Thanks for sharing!

I hate hate hate charcoal and pastels normally (texture ick), but something about these rembrandt are.. actually okay? The coating on the outside made them fine to hold, I had fun with a pastel. I love this box so much for that. Also the Derwent drawing pencils are gorgeous to use, I wish they weren't so pricey for a set.
I agree about these Rembrandt pastels! They weren't bad! If I ever bought a full set of pastels I'd consider these for sure!
When I bought my Derwent drawing pencils I got the set of 24 for $40 which at the time was an ok deal but now would be a STEAL! They do go on sale on Amazon from time to time, if I ever see them on sale I'll make sure to post it in the community tab!

Try some hair spray for the fixative.

Great box. You can use an aerosol hair spray as a fixative for pastel art you aren’t selling. It works great!

I use hair spray as a fixative. It works! That's what I used with the blue charcoal Sketchbox last year.

I am a pastel artist. Don't us any fixative, they darken paintings and hairspray is not archival. My recommendation is to put in a plastic sleeve or put tracing paper or glacine paper over.
