3 Months passed and still performance overlay/metrics do not work, enabling UAC loop, and we send many bug report from adrenaline, post stuff on amd community forum but looks like AMD dont even read that, and also reddit. And AMD support is a joke for last message guy from support dont even replay and he insist that bug in drivers/adrnealine is manufacturer problem like sapphire powercolor and others thats nuts.
For a long time with the AMD drivers I have had not even minor issues or bugs. I think it's been close to two years.
The last major one was the grey screen stuff but that has disappeared as the references to corruption have disappeared from the release notes.
I had a few problems with my 7900xt, but all of them were quick fixes. Usually I had to manually add the game to get overlay to work other times I had to force close the software because it wasn't launching.

@AncientGameplays Doesn't fit 100% into the topic of drivers but...
There is probably information on Reddit and the German PCGH that Ghost of Tsushima uses a preliminary version of FSR 3.1 in collaboration with AMD. The corresponding version files have probably been found here. Which would explain that the game with upscaling performs well in the first visual impression and that the decoupled FG is used. PCGH mentions a significantly better handling of disocclusion, for FSR conditions.

There was a question I wanted to ask.
When I record from Adrenalin, the colors of the recorded video are different from the original. When I record from Obs, it gets the colors correctly. Is AMD looking for a solution to this?
When you recorded from Adrenalin collors look yellowish.

Hey Fabio, thx again for your work! I've installed this driver and bought Ghost of Tsushima today and I've got this intermittent white flashes during gameplay. Is this a driver related issue or a game related issue? I'm reading on steam community that other AMD users have the same problem. Btw it seems to be more frequent with XeGTAO on.

The problem you mentioned at 14:40 is the same issue i have been facing for the last 2 months, in march i made my new pc with 7800x3d and 7900xt and set up the uv profile for gpu according to your videos. But when i wanted to update the drivers next month, the drivers were updated, i loaded my profile, it would work but after a shutdown, it would stop using my profile and the adrenaline software would stop opening, so i reverted to march drivers again. Will now update the drivers and create a new profile for this driver and report the results. Hopefully it goes smoothly. Great video as always though. 👍

I have used pytorch as a dependency of open alpr(automatic licence plate recognition) project once as a dependency library. it asked for gpu acceleration before using it in the linux terminal. so i think they optimised this driver for that kind of workload.
One more thing pytorch is required to run trained ai models and in my case it was open alpr to extract texts from the image of a car's licence plate.
Sadly the supposed fix to flashing rainbow lights in Forbidden west that they mentioned in 24.4.1 still doesn't fix anything... This is quite annoying.

@AncientGameplays - Sorry if this is a stupid question, but.. I have a Radeon RX 570 Series GPU and downloaded the 24.5.1 (May) install files from AMD and I did a clean install (with Factory Reset and everything), after using DDU and being on Safe Mode (Windows 11, 64 bit), but still the software shows the 24.3.1 (March) version installed (and up to date, when you click to check for updates).. Does this mean I still have the March version and NOT the May that I've just (theoretically) installed?

The new driver has given me a serious FPS boost in helldivers2. Up to almost 30 extra frames depending on the scenario🤷🏻🤷🏻 7800XT. The overlay is still broken tho 😂😂
The boost was presented in the previous drivers too
This driver actually fixed Helldivers completely rejecting the OC/UV on my 7800XT. I can play many operations with no crash now.
Hello Fabio, great content as always. How should i overclock the 7700 non X to reach multicore levels near those of the 7700X ? With Wraith Prism stock cooler on high fan setting. I am curious, because to my knowledge a PPT of 120W is maybe all you need for a 5.1-5.2 all core steady boost clock. I am a newbie though, so if you could make a video about altering power limits etc. I ofc watched your static oc video the other day, but maybe ppt/edc etc is better (?)

@@AncientGameplays Be sure to include an Nvidia card. I believe you can use dlss upscaling with fsr 3 frame gen. It would be cool to compare how frame gen works with AMD vs Nvidia.
@@Godmode_ON24 fsr3 FG always works better with AMD cards (frame pacing wise)
What I noticed right away is when you set a custom game profile, it really is a custom profile whereas before everything starts with a hidden Use Global Settings option. For example if you turned on image sharpening in one game, it would say custom profile, but if you go to your global settings and turn on antilag, it would affect the game with the custom profile if antilag was not changed before. If that sounds confusing, that's because it is; now it's simple, a custom profile is now completely separated. I would have preferred a third option for each setting that reads "use global setting" but this is good enough.
I installed them this afternoon for my 6800xt, so far happy, I did not have time to test them much, but in Dbd did not give me any stuttering shader compilation as always happens when you change Driver, and in Diablo 2 resurrected I still no crashes in Shenk as in the previous driver. So for me it's perfect for the moment. I was waiting for the video, thanks!
DBD is now on UE5 which compiles shaders when you log in.

I will say though I am a bit disappointed with 24.5.1, mostly because they still haven't fixed a few nitpicks I've been having with the past few drivers. One being Discord flashing when minimized, the notification bar slowing down when clearing notifications on Windows 11, and fixes that they still haven't addressed in the Known Issues section.
Sounds like they are just sitting on the back burner instead of making sure the drivers keep up with fixes that have been due for months, Than they wonder why they are losing revenue in the gpu space 🤣
@jasonvors169 That's one thing AMD really needs to improve on with their drivers. Recently, yeah, like you said, they've just been putting stuff in the back burner and keep delaying fixes again and again for months. They need to be more consistent with their fixes
I think their gpus will be fine, but if this does continue it will make for some bad press imo

@@mehemynxm6974 how did u find out your ram is broken ? idk how to troubleshoot, but whenever i play other games like valorant, cs2, dota2, honkai star rail, genshin impact and the witcher 3, i never experience crash
@@zenmetsuo8422 sorry notifs messed up. If you can swap out your ram with another that's the easiest way. There is some software that can test ram like memtest. It's not guarenteed to be your ram either. It could also be an issue with the new driver, if it's just ghost of tsushima

Coming from 24.3.1 I see no difference in my old Battlefields I play (and didn't expect it) on my 5600xt. I saved one oc profile and the settings profile (that creates a .zip). The Oc profile worked, the other profile did most of the in driver settings but forgot some per game settings and my custom settings (texture set to fastest , image sharpening and tesselation set to off). So for the most part saving settings works and helps.

My adrenalin no longer showing cpu metrics except utilization. How do I fix that? Tried uninstalling/reinstalling adrenalin and also amdd chipset driver but it's still the same.

They work on things thst aren't on the known issues. Also, you might have an older monitor wirh an old freesync version too

The increase in 1 percent lows in Ghosts of Tsushima are freaking nice on the 7800xt. Curious to see what bump my 7900XT got. Haven't installed these yet. I've learned to wait and see.
This is off optic but im new to pc and see you also have a 7 7700x is it ok for it to be running at 70c when im just in desktop with adrenalin software open? I see alot of people saying its ok and some saying it causes faster ware and tare, what should i do?
If u r getting low framerates, check your frctc limit. I had it reset to 60 fps and I was tearing my hair trying to figure out the cause for it.

15:00 i had the same issue since 24.3.1, and i fixed it when 24.4.1 came out. Just firstly delete driver with amd cleaner then instantly run DDU uninstall. So i got some kind of clean install that helped me. I don't use hdr, but this problem caught me that time.
I disabled hardware acceleration in the browser (edge) and the flickering was fixed, the next day I had to activate it again, I forgot I had done it, but I have not seen the brightness flashing happen again . I guess it's fixed haha
I also had some problems with the OC profiles i saved manually. It’s super irritating. I hope its fixed now
The 24.3.1 drivers were extremely good for the 6000 series. Would you say these are better or stick with 24.3.1

new driver works fine for me. oc/game profiles, too. hdr mode on my lg oled tv, too. so all fine.

Good Driver overall, no issues. Good Video from you as always. :) AMD must push Anti-Lag + Return or bring a other Feature for Significant latency reduction. It takes to long.
We need the feature for FSR3, especially AFMF, but apart from that we finally need a competing feature for Reflex. At least some information about the development status would be desirable.

Hello again fabio, a few days ago i faced a problem on my 7900xtx, the card was literally crashing at default settings, is this normal? I had to put the core at 2500 max and min at 2400, and it solved the problem. More people complain about this issue online but nothing was fixed. Thanks for this video 💯👍

Found it. It's the Service called AMD External Events Utility. Disabling it cuts 40 seconds off the logon time. Doing that breaks FreeSync a little though.

Logo após isso, o brilho na tela oscila sempre que vou mudar a resolução de um vídeo no CZcams e também ocrrem alguns 'flickerings' no navegador. I want to point out an issue i've been facing with some games, the issue seems to be in every driver sincer 23.12.1. Playing while having rivatuner stats in games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Forza Horizon 4 the memory frequency suddenly shows 0 mhz. While in Forza Horizon there is no performance impact (old game, maxing out my 165hz monitor) in Red Dead Redemption 2 there is a drop of around 20 fps after this happens. For now the only fix i found was to change the refresh rate to 120hz, it still happens when using 144hz. It's not only in rivatuner because Radeon Software also reports 0mhz. Also, changing the refresh rate to 144hz and back to 165 seems to fix it temporarly but it comes back after some time in the games mentioned.

The alt tab problem was annoying with 24.4.1 and i couldn't take screenshots with Radeon software on my rx5700xt but now its fixed again
So far this year the only drivers I didn't have issues with on chrome/games was the 24.4.1. Kind of scared to update it to 25.5.1 guess I should wait a bit.

Ive had the alt tab issue and i thought my pc was just dying or having a problem with hardware or maybe i pushed my tune too far but i guess now i know it was the damn drivers all along 💀
Overwatch 2 shader cache every start of the game is still there. Have to launch practice range first for 5 min. The fun part when you enter practice range, first 30 sec game runs normal, but after goes unplayable stutter fest for ~2-3 min. And only when you could play the game normally. so annoying. Rx7600
so far Ghost of Tsushima on 7900xtx on the 24.5.1 is running like a dream. native FSR AA with frame gen at 4k everything maxed has great image quality. FSR 3.1 with a ultra quality mode across many games is my sort after offer from amd with this expensive card I had bought from them. Did notice some of the textures when zoomed in looked a bit low res but very much in the minority cases, when actually playing the game it looks stunning.
"Native FSR" has no meaning for me.

I have a question, I have rx 6800 and my qpu is never at 100% utilisation. When I play Gta 5 it’s doesn’t go past 60% and my fps is at 110 max when not in main screen or cinematic. I’m playing at high-highest settings. I have this issue with other games like helldivers 2 it’s doesn’t go past 80%
My AMD's Ryzen 7 5800H's integrated Radeon graphics is still showing 24.3.1 as latest drivers, this also happens in older AMD Ryzen 3200U's Radeon Vega gfx
Do you know why my msi afterburner is still showing AMD software: Adrenaline 24.3.1 ? I am using a laptop, SO I have two GPU, my integrated Redeon grafhics and my RX 6800M
Having a 7900x with a 7900xt, 32 gb ram. During the last couple of drivers, having two monitor setup, the primary would go to standby in use, gaming or otherwise and only by disconnecting the DP lead and reconnecting would it reactivate, yes I did DDU when it happened, but it did not solve it. Hasn't happened on these drivers YET.
Did you check AMD Frame Generation in Ghost of Tsushima? I'm getting about 25 to 30% Stuttering (Radeon Overlay metric) when using it without upscaling. The solution is to enable Vsync, but it should not be needed. A game implementation or driver (24.5.1) bug?

A while ago I installed the new driver for Ghost of Tsushima but I got an error that the drivers are not compatible and it crashes out of the game by itself, I had to put back the previous ones.
I'm grateful to these drivers, better stability and performance boost.
For example, Jedi survivor (1440p with rx7600 and ryzen 5600) now has less or almost non stutter compared to the previous drivers. The game goes smooth and also with better temperatures.
And of course, the alt tab stutter has gone at least for what I've seen.

@spremutadisucco9728 Nope, I'm not cpu limited. Of course, with a better cpu, I'll probably achieve like 5 FPS more or something like that, but for gaming at 1080p and some cases at 1440p is a really good combo.
the pytorch support should be good considering I've had many issues running machine learning code on AMD which is why I used google colab, although I'd hope they also extend it to 6000 series because there's no reason why they should be left out
No Chance for extended Support for RX6000 with AI Stuff. Only RX7000 has AI Cores.
I wish someone would make a custom driver for the 5700XT to make it compatible with Panda3D engine again. AMD broke its compatability about a year into the driver updates, and I haven't been able to play childhood classics on that PC for ~4 years now. Haven't tried on my new PC yet, but it's a shame when things like that get overlooked by the official drivers.

Me too, it's so frustrating that AMD didn't release ROCm HIP for most of the RX 6000 cards. It's because of things like this that AMD isn't taken seriously in the AI community, which has made Nvidia a multi-trillion dollar company today. You can't even run Tensorflow or PyTorch in those cards because of it.
@AncientGameplays Thanks as always Fabio! From what I have been observing from various benchmark results on this driver, temperatures appear to be significantly higher on the GPU and marginally higher on CPU and with a very slight if any increase in performane. I personally am using a gaming laptop with a 6800m, and I simply cannot afford to incure what appears to be a 5c-6c degrees increase in GPU temps for no benefit i.e. if I am not playing those 3 new games or being impacted by one of the major fixes. Maybe I am crazy because nobody else has mentioned this yet..although I suppose it's not a big issue for desktop users....it still does seem to be step backwards though.

@@AncientGameplays Hmmm I know it's a small sample and the 7600 XT ressults look similar if even a bit better for the new driver but both of your 7800 XT results here in this video are +6c to 7c...which seems to be outside the margin of error...better 1% lows.
I have very annoying bug when turning off my monitor and turning it back on again, because if it unplugs it self after turning it back on i have a do not disturb bug, which re enables it self even after turned off by dragging a Window between screens, which i may have found a work around for restarting explorer.exe now in the process seeing if i can make an automatic script that restarts explorer.exe upon monitor wake up.
HDR is not supported not even tonemaping to SDR when recording or streaming, when using relive, OBS does though, when configured correctly, surprised how many users still try to use relive with HDR enabled, as well as users not reading release notes.

I have an issue with this driver when playing Ghost of Tsushima the game crash randomly and say that it's from my amd driver and at the same time the amd report file open. I have a RX 7800 XT, i dont want to go back on the old driver to play this game wich run with no lag except crashing.
