Holy smokes😳 The consistent 120 fps on series X is insane… I am upgrading this Christmas from a 60hz tv and was expecting to maybe get 80-90 but the fact it is getting consistent 120 is sick

I have the series s and the series x. They are both amazing consoles. The series s is amazing for the price and size. A cheap, small little beast. At this point in time it handles all the games available and they look amazing. Not 4k but definitely a noticeable upgrade from the Xbox one. Now the series x…. It’s a beast. Better performance and graphics quality than any other console right now. Playing games on my 4k tv really blows my mind sometimes how amazing they look. Both are great consoles
@@mrpanther44 the series S usually does 1440p and can do 4k in some circumstances. So yes it’s a lot better than 1080p. the series X is 4k almost all the time even on the most demanding games. If you have a 4k tv the difference is noticeable yes, but for the price of a series S you can’t get a better value.

All these comparisons really make the Series S standout in a good way. $300 and you can run a gorgeous game like MW2 flawlessly. Better yet. You can run Flight Simulator better than some $1500 PCs

I bought the Series S during the holidays because it was $239 USD. For that price point, I have zero complaints. MW2 and Warzone run smoothly and look perfect. The console itself performs amazingly for how small it is (which is good because I can take it with me when I travel). I wish we had more storage but at this price I understand. 9/10 console for me and I am so happy I bought it.

Great video only complaint is that for the video clips for the x/s 120fps you just ran around and for the ps5 you where in the chopper the whole time which is gonna cause frame dropping wish you would have had the same sort of gameplay for all the consoles.

@@fjzia5384 For my experience, I love it, the console is powerful, loads a menu in no time, the quality is amazing, the only main difference would be that your game will be in 1080p to 1440p instead of 4K for the Xbox X and the storage can be very short if you play a lot of games at the same time... which is not my case, so if 4K and storage isn't an issue for you, I'd say go for it and you won't regret it

Purchased my series s for $131. I wanted the Xbox series x due to resolution but I play on a monitor 2k resolution and 145 hz so series doesn't make sense for me. I don't think I'll need the expansion card so won't be regretting getting the series x.

The purchase came with a $50 gift card, online shopping portal had $40 first purchase, my chase flex card gives me 5% cash back and then I transfer that to my chase sapphire reserve card for 1.5x multiplier. Also got an additional $30 dollar gift card from target for making 3 purchases that are more than 90.
It's a memory issue in this circumstance. I loaded into that exact area and the painting looks nowhere near that bad. Warzone is a buggy mess atm when it comes to textures.
Yeah, and the worst part is that PS even sends him things from what I see in his thumbnail, and he pays them with manking these comparisons making the Ps5 look worse almost everytime XD, and some people actually believes this guy, good thing that we have DF and a few other that make things properly
I will say that I think the PS5 wasn’t given a fair comparison on 120hz compared to the XSX. While vehicles are very gameplay demanding, helicopters are much more so than a car. *I noticed that there’s water in the background for PS5. Some old PC testing I did showed that water resulted in performance dips. Could be same issue. Cause my PS5 runs perfect in other environments.
Series x owner and I recently pulled out my og Xbox one to see if there was much of a difference and I am blown away by how well the og Xbox one is doing, I love all the new perks of the series X but wow was I surprised 😂
I would go for the series S if it werent for all the disks I own, so unfortunately when I upgrade from my one S I'll have to spend an extra $200 for a disk drive but eh the performance might make it worth 🗿
@@beepboopthemyth Bro what 🗿 Even the Xbox One S does at minimum 720p and averages 900p to 1080p. Series S stays at 1080p and in some games is capable of 1440p 🗿🗿🗿. The only time it goes below 1080p that I can think of is in Rocket League when set to performance mode because that game isn't well optimized due to its physics engine 🗿
I am curious about the draw distance of enemy players. I do long-range sniping in DMZ, at a certain distance players drop out of view. Go outside the draw distance, Do the higher-end gaming rigs have a longer draw distance, I am on Xbox One, If I play on the series X will the enemy or even AI players be visible at a longer distance and not be made invisible?

Performance Mode does absolutely nothing. It just set's the game mode in a game to the performance mode automaticaly. And this test here is shit because the PS5 is better than the Series X in the 120fps mode. Watch the new Digital Foundry video👍

SX has 565 gb/s fill rate... ill say again 565 gb/second not 420-440 ps5... 565.... so even though graphics are not heavily used on Emulation.. it helps overall, since cpu and gpu share the gpu memory... it matters slightly.... slightly..... basically it will not be the difference as per usual on X vs S (12.5 teraflops ~4ghz) vs (~4.5 teraflops ~3.7 ghz) since CPU is dominating for emulation it will be MUCH CLOSER than with regular gaming.. it will be like you are running a Series X with 10-15 percent only downgrade performance... its awesome on Series S and Series X emulation 4k. basically at SX I can go (7x resolution to 9x resolution+). on SS I can go ( 6x resolution to 7, 8 x resolution, some 9x resolution as well). @@JM-qn3tf Warzone isn't a very good way to compare frame rate. It's optimisation is insane, since it runs at 60fps on Xbox One and PS4. The Series S mostly runs games at a constant 30fps.

I will say it looks next gen almost on ps5... but it looks NEXT GEN on xbox series x no ARGUMENTS can be made... AND 120 fps nearly LOCKED versus 89-99 to 100 frames or even 80.00 frames versus 119-120 fps.. Bro… I’ve been a PC user for the last 3 years on a 3080 and 2070 super. If there is one thing I learned from ALWAYS seeing my exact framerate and obsessing over it- it’s that the frames will stutter in ALL games when you go above an open world map in a vehicle. The fact that you didn’t show series X gameplay in a helicopter to show it drop to 90hz as well is just COMICAL. Y’all some silly ass fanbois.

I have the rx 6900 xt and my frames are getting higher in a vehicule, same thing on my old rx 5700 xt. Those consoles are powered by amd so it won't be any different
@@geocruz7267 on the pc u need more power for 1440p. So maybe the ps5 can generate more fps in 1080p. So the main question is in which resolution is the ps5 rendering for 120hz. If he render it always 1080p it doesn't matter, but if he render it with 1440p, you should get less fps with 1440p.

PS has games Xbox dreams of having. Xbox is also cheaper overall but thats it.

You should have done a chopper fight in the Xbox series X 120hz test too. It’s more graphically demanding. In fact Digital Foundry has the PS5 ahead of the Xbox series X in the 120hz frame rate. I definitely trust their tests over anyone else’s.
Me llamó la atención el performance inestable de la ps5 en el modo 120HZ, la imagen en ps 5 parece un poco más nítida, será que esta seteada con algún setting más alto, lo que sumado a que el hardware de la X es un poco mejor hace esa diferencia? Bien por la series S, pero la diferencia en la calidad de imagen es bastante notoria, a veces esas pequeñas distorsiones te hacen perder el blanco en un juego como este.

Really cracks me up when everyone compares the leading consoles(comments). All comes down to being a fanboy because there is literally things that each do better than the other. If you were comparing graphics cards or CPU’s that’s a different story but to war against two consoles that have literally the same cpu/gpu with minor differences in clocking is a bit silly. Xbox series X has greater TFLOPS but that doesn’t always translate to better performance period. At this point it’s all about which ecosystem you prefer. Xbox series X coming in with higher tflops and ps5 coming in with way better load times. They are what and what. Put a game on for someone and don’t tell them what system they’re playing and they can not tell other than faster loading times on the PS5. The real MVP is the Series S, what you get for the money is just awesome. These videos are appreciated none the less and there is certainly a place for them.

Love my series S, picked up a refurbished unit with warranty for only £140 of gumtree not to long ago, best purchase i made.
I will say that I think the PS5 wasn’t given a fair comparison on 120hz compared to the XSX. While vehicles are very gameplay demanding, helicopters are much more so than a car.
*I noticed that there’s water in the background for PS5. Some old PC testing I did showed that water resulted in performance dips. Could be same issue. Cause my PS5 runs perfect in other environments.

Even the Xbox One S does at minimum 720p and averages 900p to 1080p. Series S stays at 1080p and in some games is capable of 1440p 🗿🗿🗿. The only time it goes below 1080p that I can think of is in Rocket League when set to performance mode because that game isn't well optimized due to its physics engine 🗿

SX has 565 gb/s fill rate... ill say again 565 gb/second not 420-440 ps5... 565.... so even though graphics are not heavily used on Emulation.. it helps overall, since cpu and gpu share the gpu memory... it matters slightly.... slightly..... basically it will not be the difference as per usual on X vs S (12.5 teraflops ~4ghz) vs (~4.5 teraflops ~3.7 ghz) since CPU is dominating for emulation it will be MUCH CLOSER than with regular gaming.. it will be like you are running a Series X with 10-15 percent only downgrade performance... its awesome on Series S and Series X emulation 4k. basically at SX I can go (7x resolution to 9x resolution+). on SS I can go ( 6x resolution to 7, 8 x resolution, some 9x resolution as well). Enjoy :D

Owned a xbox series x for awhile and just bought the ps5 couple days ago, and I must say they are both amazing consoles and graphics look the same and FANTASTIC
they don't really look the same here... we can say "slightly close" but look for yourself.. its much blurrier... I will say it looks next gen almost on ps5... but it looks NEXT GEN on xbox series x no ARGUMENTS can be made... AND 120 fps nearly LOCKED versus 89-99 to 100 frames or even 80.00 frames versus 119-120 fps.. OKAY I thought war zone was huge for people... better play it on the next gen console with most power. enjoy all your consoles man :D

Bro… I’ve been a PC user for the last 3 years on a 3080 and 2070 super. If there is one thing I learned from ALWAYS seeing my exact framerate and obsessing over it- it’s that the frames will stutter in ALL games when you go above an open world map in a vehicle. The fact that you didn’t show series X gameplay in a helicopter to show it drop to 90hz as well is just COMICAL.

You should have done a chopper fight in the Xbox series X 120hz test too. It’s more graphically demanding. In fact Digital Foundry has the PS5 ahead of the Xbox series X in the 120hz frame rate. I definitely trust their tests over anyone else’s.

Me llamó la atención el performance inestable de la ps5 en el modo 120HZ, la imagen en ps 5 parece un poco más nítida, será que esta seteada con algún setting más alto, lo que sumado a que el hardware de la X es un poco mejor hace esa diferencia? Bien por la series S, pero la diferencia en la calidad de imagen es bastante notoria, a veces esas pequeñas distorsiones te hacen perder el blanco en un juego como este.
Los pros de pc juegan con los graficos super bajos para mas fps, ose que si lo q quieres es fluides el warzone va mejor en series S

Por dios lo que hay que leer... Hay algunos juegos donde las low settings te dan alguna ventaja, otros donde bajar ciertas setting te dejan ver mejor algo, pero eso de que low settings = pro es de alguien que claramente no juega mucho a nada.

Yo tambien lo veo mal intencionado jaja, poner justo el clip en un helicóptero donde mas cosas se renderizan y peor aun en un juego que practicamente no esta terminado, bugs, mala optimización de jugabilidad, servidores y texturas, obviamente no dara los 120fps estables, pero si estas en una zona normal como corriendo por la ciudad o desierto son estables a 120fps

Really cracks me up when everyone compares the leading consoles(comments). All comes down to being a fanboy because there is literally things that each do better than the other. If you were comparing graphics cards or CPU’s that’s a different story but to war against two consoles that have literally the same cpu/gpu with minor differences in clocking is a bit silly. Xbox series X has greater TFLOPS but that doesn’t always translate to better performance period. At this point it’s all about which ecosystem you prefer. Xbox series X coming in with higher tflops and ps5 coming in with way better load times. They are what and what. Put a game on for someone and don’t tell them what system they’re playing and they can not tell other than faster loading times on the PS5. The real MVP is the Series S, what you get for the money is just awesome. These videos are appreciated none the less and there is certainly a place for them.
