My marriage is 27 years this year, I was in Mercy's position for 10 years,I prayed, fasted, I also did not confront him but after 10 years of terrible storms, violence and an an attack on my life...i moved on...I am not divorced, I just moved on with the children so I can have the sanity to raise the children. ...to the glory of God, I am a woman helped by God...

In as much as I love to love this film (of course what's not to love its an EVOM movie) and the major character in this movie, I also think there is a need to clarify some things here. I believe the major lesson everyone should take from this movie is that God is the commander of our battles and He only can give us a winning strategy for our own battles. One person's strategy will not always work for the other person. I do not recommend that everyone should take mercy's strategy and literally make it theirs. Mercy's strategy worked because according to the movie that's what God told her to do; someone might try it and develop a heart attack, hypertension, get STD or just die in the course of waiting it out even though they are as much of a Christian as mercy.
I love the movie for one because it encourages us to cast all our cares on the Holy- Spirit and also let him guide us in the battles of life HOWEVER it does not mean that this approach will always be the solution to solving infidelity in the home.
What happened to church leaders/spiritual fathers holding their sons accountable, that daddy in the Lord could have easily followed mercy to Towela's house to establish the truth and confront him as a father to son, for some other people, and without God's express guidance Mercy silence could have been an endorsing and enabler of her husband's secret life; she knew she was mismanaging church funds and said or did nothing to confront and expose the evil works of darkness. If that happens in certain parts of the world, she may very well be on her way to jail with him for misappropriation of funds especially if she held a fiduciary role at the church as well. Church money is not ours to spend because we built it together its meant to be spent to expand the kingdom of God on the earth as that's what people donated it for.
He could have died in his sins, I believe as spouses God allows us to know certain intimate things about our spouse so that we can help call their attention to it in addition to praying for them. Again except God tells you otherwise as in mercy's case, I do not believe this movie is the blueprint for dealing with adultery in a Christian home and even a Pastor at that? What example is mercy laying to those children for 8 years? That it's okay to be hypocritical and that you can still go ahead doing ministry even as an adulterer. As much as God is a merciful and gracious God he is also a consuming fire. He says that if anyone will cause any of these little ones to sin, it's better to cast a mill around his neck and throw him into the sea. In 8 years, I am sure not just Bande (who turned out to be an accomplice) followed this Pastor's adulterous life, many others would have been innocently misled by this man's double life. In as much as every problem has a spiritual dimension, there is also the free will part and making people take responsibility and face the repercussion of their actions. So if he never had that Towela was deceiving him he wouldn't have ever come back to his senses right?
A lot of things could have totally gone wrong in 8 years, people backslide because of this man's hypocrisy and double standards and even the bible says to scold and expel people who live in adultery within the church if they refuse to change. 1 Corinthians 5:1-13. Adultery and dealing with an adulterous spouse are more serious, dangerous, and intense than this movie has portrayed it. May God grant us wisdom, discernment, and understanding.
Please note that I love and adore EVOM movies which I have always watched as a much younger person but on this movie, I am quite "ify" about it. Again if God is directing you to be a "Mercy to Moses" please and please go ahead and follow strictly the rules in this movie but whatever you do make sure God gives you the blueprint for your own battles so it can end in praise. It is well.

As a pastor, I deal with cases like this. There's so much emotional damage this women go through because of their cheating husbands. This movie just showed clearly there's hope for everyone that puts their trust in God. How long? Only God can answer. But we can choose to quit or keep praying until salvation comes. Thank you for this movie.
Anytime I watch your channel, my faith or walk in Christ is challenged to the uttermost. I just placed myself in the shoes of Mercy, her patience and self control was not easy ooooo but at the end, it was worth it. God grant us grace to remain faithful. Beautiful, amazing...something has broken off my life as I watched this movie. Indeed, He is all that matters. There are times I have wanted to just scream and the Lord says, a soft answer turns way wrath or He would say, don't respond. Just keep quiet. One thing I have learned from this movie is always listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit every you are facing difficulties situations , some people will give you a advice that you will destroy your your marriage or family
Yep. You are so right. It's a huge lesson. When you are going through storms, don't act as if God is not there, draw closer and you will hear His voice all through till you overcome. Be very careful, even the counsel of some Christians will throw you out of God's will. After a while you won't see them again, if you do, they will be blaming you, saying things like ' but I did not force you' or 'you didn't tell me the whole story. Better make the Holy Spirit your big Daddy, Master and best Friend.
There is a lot of question to be ask from this movie, but this is not Sunday School class.

Eight years a Pastor and 8 years cheating on his wife. Eight years a liar and hypocrite and then the church will want to come hard and fast about being "unequally yoked". My ex husband I married after being single for 37 years. We both grew up in church, he was a worship leader, a Deacon and yet after 3 years marriage served me divorce papers because he was unhappy. A few days later he became involved in a relationship with a female friend of his who atttends another church. They broke up some mere months later, we got back together not too long after that and a year later the scenario repeated itself. He went back to the same person. This time I let the divorce go through when HE once again filed. I trust only in GOD, only in GOD. In my opinion forgiveness doesn't mean staying in a contaminated marriage. I am very happy being by myself and serving JESUS.

My dear you’ve said it all
this is the second time i am watching this movie and i am probably going to watch it again and again. i keep hesitating to comment but i think it's time to comment. I am going through something similar to this line of story and i am finding it really hard to truly let God take over. The only thing keeping me going is my faith in the Lord. Lord, i need strength to hold unto you until the end.

Hmmmm, it does happen because I went through it myself. For 5 years I went through same experience but God helped me through. Today it's all a miracle that my home is still standing and standing strong. It's not easy but God can hold your home.

This movie is better watched than experienced🤔. I'm a married woman, and I'm curious to know how you sleep with your husband when he is cheating on you. What if he has more than one girlfriend that you're aware of, do you still keep praying and keep having sex with him? I admire the gentility and patience of the woman portrayed in this movie, but keeping such a secret and sleeping with a cheating man is what I'll never understand. I hope our men will also be raised to pray for their wives when they cheat and not rain down brimstones😊. After all, in Christ, there is neither male nor female when it comes to the things of the Spirit. We all are led to walk in Love and Patience. May we keep growing in Christ's wisdom and leading. Amen

Very sincerely, this film is so Anointed.
I viewed this movie prayerfully, asking God to meet me at the point of my needs and also with the expectation of getting blessed.
And just after 20 minutes of engagement, I knew the film was meant for me, and that I must stay glued through to the end. God told me, that I share in a way in Mercy's circumstance that also, I shouldn't go physical but continue steadfastly spiritual.

I am still a sister. But this has helped me a lot. Jesus is all that matters in any situation we face whether in or out of marriage. The Lord is our rock and fortress and its important to follow his path till he calms the storm. Her husband's response to her accusation is so typical of many guilty men😡😩... Emotional blackmail. You need to be a discerning woman to avoid falling for such theatrics.
Great message. But when it is too toxic, the victim should leave and pray aside. And continue to take every necessary steps according to the lead of the Holy Spirit. Balance message is needed whenever movies on turbulence marriages are written.

Afterall, He's the end of all things. I like the fellowship the Holy Spirit had with Mercy. It was a sweet one. And thank God for the obedient spirit that Mercy had. It would have been difficult for the Holy Spirit to work out His purpose through Mercy if she had not trusted the Lord fully. Though we may not understand His ways all the times, but His ways are perfect and they will always be the best.

This is great, Evom. Thanks for bringing this inspiring piece. It takes a spirit-filled and spirit comtroled woman to bear and pull through this successful. This is very similar to my story at the moment. It's been tough staying in a loveless marriage, just believing and trusting God to fight my battles. But in all He has always taught the He is all that matters. I keep holding on to Him, letting nothing come in-between us. And God has been faithful. I hope for a miracle some day 🙏

It's important we are careful with the theology of our content especially because it shapes people's ideologies. I agree that we should be led by the spirit. Also the spirit of God gives instructions that are in line with the word of God and principles found in scriptures.
It's not correct that for 3or 5years, the wife of the man kept quiet about her husband's immoral life.
Its not "virtuous"!
There would have been a way to go about it, especially as it concerned the church of God and God's people, speaking the truth with love and submissively, not with anger, rashness or contempt. 5 years of pastoring a church as a hypocrite and she kept quiet. No nah! That's unfair to the spirituality of the church and members.. 5 years of embezzling church funds and she kept "using wisdom" (lies) to explain to the church board. 5 years is enough for the man to die in his sin and be condemned forever. The one we need to fear is the Lord above all.
Trusted father in the Lord or mother in the Lord would have stepped in to join her pray and confront the situation biblically.

Hmm! This movie was a confirmation to what I heard in my Sunday school class today in church. Job passed through all those trials by the grace of God, also this woman. Humanly speaking it's not easy but by God's grace, it is possible. We all receive grace to overcome trials and temptations and Jesus is all that matters in our lives in Jesus name. This movie blessed me and open my eyes to say yes to Jesus's love has I handed over everything to him and I remain calm and prayerful. My husband is not having infidelity , he is a perfect gentleman but it seems I'm expecting too much from him( my marriage is less than 3 years). Thanks and God bless this ministry.
How she didn’t take a photo of him and the woman or at least the picture on the wall is beyond me. Perhaps we forget these things when in a fix. Lord pls protect Christian homes. Indeed physical fight can’t lead to spiritual wins.

Wow! Great message! I like the suspense.
At a point I began to feel that praying in the face of such betrayal with impunity is not practical or possible but saw the big picture when the Lord eventually turned around the captivity of that marriage.
I have learned through this movie ministration to trust God and obey Him even when it doesn't look logical or wise.
This is a great project typical of EVOM. The Lord continue to increase you in wisdom. I pray for fresh oil for inspiration always.

In the film, it was Pastor Moses's unconfessed bad habits that sapped his love for God, and if it hadn't been for the wife Mercy's patience, knowledge, and absolute reliance on the Holy Spirit, everything would have been lost. As seen in the film, Pastor Moses is a Christian who was called by God to ministry, but he lived a sinful life. He utilized what God had given him to feed his evil passions.

This movie is really timely...I am having a trouble with my people who thinks I attend church services because of my relationship since my spouse is tagged as a pastor and I cried so hard because they were people I respected. to the point that I concluded not to participate in any church activities again except online and Sunday services...but thank God that know I know that HE IS ALL THAT MATTERS.
