Koi Pond Problems! What Is Wrong With This Koi?

- I've got a problem in the main pond and i'm not 100% what I'm dealing with! Plus I'm taking delivery of some new koi!

I'm just in the proceeds of sa lol salting the pond, I'm dissolving it with boiling water, then adding 50kg over a four days, great update mate, hope the little fella pulls through.

Fingers crossed 🤞 for the sanke Matt, salt will definitely help if it's sleeping sickness and if you can heat it will speed it up or even quarantine it in a smaller tank with heat for a while. Stay safe Andy 👍
Thanks Andy, unfortunately until I build the fish house heating isn't an option. I thought the salt would help but unfortunately he didn't make it and I found something after scraping about 5 more slides ☹️

Fingers crossed it pulls through , doing the right thing with salt , if it is sleeping sickness . But if you could get heat into the pond somehow it would make a hell of a difference . Hope it all goes well mate 👍👍😎

Hope you get sorted pal. Only just realised it was you on Danny’s group!🤣🤦🏼♂️ I add salt directly into the middle of the Eazypod and it fires through the tempest into the pond. Gets a good mix. Never had an issue with knocking bacteria back. 👍🏼
😅 yeah I avoid anything you bid on mate as I know you go hard 😅 unfortunately it hasn't ended well for the sanke! But I did find the problem eventually. I poured the salt mainly in the outlet of the bio so shot out through the in wall returns so mixed well. But the ponds starting to look shit now with salt, treatment and no uv 😭

If it’s sleeping sickness you need heat and salt iv got a quarantine pond with 50 fish with it they on the men now
Until I build the fish house that's not an option unfortunately so hoping the air temperature picks up 👍

Got to admit, the sanki doesn't look too good, but I really hope he can hang on long enough for the salt to work some magic. Fingers are crossed for you buddy .

Correct me if I’m wrong but does adding salt directly in your beneficial bacteria filter system kill it all?
Never had an issue bud, and the speed that it's been pumped out at means it's pretty much getting fired into the pond straight away. Although salt is safe for beneficial bacteria unlike some medications we use for parasites 👍
@@koicentralofficial well its not really recommended, since the salt percantage in that small body of water can rise up to 2-3 percenmt which does actually kill some bacteria
@officialscope486 Like I said bud I've never had issues doing it this way with fine salt and putting it in right next to the outlet its been fired straight out into the pond anyway. I wouldn't be dumping a whole bag in in one go.
