This makes me think of the Station Nightclub Fire.
That's how I ended up here, as a Rhode Islander whose father played at the Station as late as 1999. Incidentally, the fire happened on my eighth birthday.

So fucking disrespectful to those poor souls.
Always thought this was a good song. But the song will forever be associated with tragedy, human error and negligence. I bet to this day, the family & friends of the victims breakdown in tears whenever they hear this song. I'd also be a little surprised if Great White aren't banned from radio play in West Warwick, RI cuz just hearing the name of the band brings up to many horrific memories as it is, let alone hear their music. Those poor people 😔

Thought that at one time, they weren't going to include that song in their setlist. I mean, it's a great song to open with, but like is posted above, people will always associate that song with the RI fire. Sort of reminds me of them pulling the original cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Street Survivors LP from the shelves showing them standing in flames around the time of the fateful airplane crash.
Only one member of this band was contracted to play that night. Mark Kendall was a hired gun by Jack.

Why would you play this live ever again? Both versions of the band have a member who was there that tragic night. No it wasnt the songs fault but it shows no respect to those who perished or were hurt and burned....it was the beginning of horror,hell and heartbreak for so many. Music brings back memories.....why would you want to bring memories like that back. Jmo....its disrespectful.
