NY husband and 2 buddies were going through the back country on ATV's and spotted a momma with 3 little ones. She spotted them too. She led her cubs to a big spruce tree and then she turned towards the guys and started charging. My husband fired a shot into the ground to scare her off. It worked luckily. She went straight back to her cubs and ran them up the ridge. My husband said it was almost a code brown 😂😂 they kept moving the opposite direction after that.
He was incredibly calm for a prime Grizzly to not only charge through the fence in one diving motion, but to believe she wouldn't engage the Truck is a wild confidence 😅
I was worried about that fence, i saw a bear all f'ed up in the wire, but the way she flattened her body through that fence😢 she'd done that before. Letting her cubs get away from the big loud creature with wheels coming for them. So beautiful. ❤
And mind you. Animals don’t know that it’s a car. They just see you as a big animal they haven’t seen before. But as you can see momma bear wants all the smoke 😂
She’s not mad at all, that’s how you put in work to protect your young, she communicated for them to cross the fence, modeled how to do it. Once they went through the fence she gestured at them…then immediately picks up speed to run toward you but she fakes you out. Checks her peripherals notices you stopped chasing them and then she went back to her babies.
I love that you know her emotions I mean it's pretty common for humans or any creatures on this Earth to not be mad at all when someone's chasing their babies.... They just run around and check perimeters or whatever you said 🙄
The fact that she ran through the fence with her Cubs make sure all her cubs were through the fence, then came back around and said "I got something for ya!"
As a mother who has unfortunately been in extreme situations with my 3 children.... I can imagine her telling her cubs to get their asses over to safety while Momma takes care of some shit.... This is powerful and beautiful.

Idk man I been in Northern California and seen some black bear tear some cars up just to get a poo tart or some shit out haha its doable but they do scare easy. But the ones in the national parks have no real fear of humans so they rummage ehat ever they want.
