    I have been using it since launch and the hydration is immense. And the exfoliation part, I do feel my face is a little more brightened up and the acne marks seem to be lightening sooner after introducing this to my routine which already has their Niacinamide 10%, Alpha Arbutin and Salicylic acid serums. So I have felt this toner has been enhancing the effects of the serums. But sometimes, I pat in the toner and it has to be left alone for 5-10 mins for absorption and in the meantime, due to the hydration it gives, I forget to follow up with my serums or moisturuser 😂. Just a few drops will do, despite that price. And my combination skin is loving it so far.
    That it has no harmful chemicals and they are transparent is the best thing about the toner though. It feels almost like a serum sometimes, not as light as a usual toner.

    I have read and researched it is very tough to store probiotics in bottles because the good bacteria do tend to get killed by preservatives used in products. And that's why brands using such probiotics don't tend to bring any tremendous effects.

    Skin barrier products are always useful but toners are extremely overrated. With good cleansers, actives for targeted skin concern and ample moisturisers and sunscreens one should be good. Loved the video, Rubina 💕

  • @rabinderkaur1254
    @rabinderkaur1254 Před rokem +2

    I really liked your research, but it’s incomplete. The star ingredient of the product is PHA - polyhydroxy acid which exfoliates the surface level of the skin doesn’t penetrate deep. Best suitable for people with very reactive and sensitive skin :- rosacea. Coz AHA nd BHA irritates the heck out.
    In India so called skin enthusiasts are completely unaware of sensitive skin conditions rosacea, eczema, psoriasis etc and they never include them in the dialogue.

  • @zoey6812

    I have been using it since three weeks everyday at night. I notice my skin looks definitely brighter.i do not know if exfoliation is the reason(which you say is difficult to achieve with this product) or hydration (which this product definitely provides).Overall this product really suits me. I have a very sensitive combination skin. In the past I have used mandelic acid and salicylic acid.This time I thought of giving PHA's a try since the molecules are bigger than AHA's which means these are gentler. Thankfully I found this one! The price point of 400 is okay if it's working for me.

    Just wanted to ask that, as this toner contains 3% pha, can that be used with retinol...for example if I am following night skin care routine then first I'll do face wash, then toner. So, after toner can I apply retinol?

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  Před 3 lety

      Technically. you could though good skin practice would be to not do it as the toner has salicylic in it for gentle exfoliation. Now nothing might happen but if it does then the skin will get irrirated. Do check with what the website advisory since its specific to their product.

      the routine looks fine AK. If the purging has settled down dont worry about it. If it persists you might want to stop the toner as its also got exfoliants like salicyclic..so you could also be over exfoliating since you are using salicylic separately.

      @RubinaSkincare  Před 3 lety

      Yes it does. In my reviews I generally talk about noteworthy ingrredients that make the product wow or dumb. I didnt think the niacinamide was of any consequence in this formulation.
      niacinamide reduces inflammation , which may help ease redness from eczema, acne, and other inflammatory skin conditions but Salicylic does it better.
      Niacinamide also CAN over time help reduce pore size but for that its not in enough qty in this formulation.
      this formulation i felt was a mish mash with some 44 ingredients which is very unlike the other products from the minimalist. Also toners are very simple products so I found the whole party of ingredients very counter intuitive.

      Can you recommend a product for gentle exfoliation that doesnot have glycolic acid? Just superficial level skin exfoliation that can be done twice a week. I already have the AHA BHA peel and use it once every 10 days. But I've learned it might be too strong for a skin of colour so I'm thinking of using plastic salicylic acid mask (ordinary) for deep exfoliation.

Also like i shared in the video if you need an additional product to reset the skins pH, hydration level and remove residue post a cleanse then the cleanser needs to be thrown out for a better product. Adding a toner to finish off the cleansers job is a waste of money, time and material.
